So, I logged off this account and signed in as Administrator, so when I tried to click Mozilla Firefox, it doesn't work. All it did was it came out with this : " Windows cannot find C:Program FilesMozilla Firefoxfirefox exe.' Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, then click search"

On my Ubuntu systems when I'm working on something, and I try to open a new program (ie: Firefox) If I have a text editor or another program in focus, and I'm using it (ie: typing a note) then when Firefox loads it pops under my current window to avoid interrupting me. This is something I've grown accustomed to, but I cannot find a way to make Windows XP Pro SP2 behave the same way.
Im using FireFox instead of IE now. But everytime I start the program it takes some time to start. A lot longer then IE does... Why is that and is there a way to fix that
I am unable to connect to the Internet with IE 6, but Firefox 1.5 works fine. Pc-Cillin also does NOT connect for upgrades. Another oddity is that FTP connections in IE 6 seem to work fine.Through another forum, I found out that if I open a webpage through My Computer, it also connects just fine.
This is really annoying and just started happening after i installed the latest version of direct X and a new driver for my graphics card. I can't get firefox to open. The hourglass appears and then disappears and nothing happens.Internet explorer works great. everyone is saying to make a new profile and go to run, firefox.exe P and that doesn't work because that window won't come up either. and i tried opening it in safe mode. still, no luck. HOW CAN I FIX THIS?
On my IBM NetVista (First In My Computer Specs) when I am browsing with Firefox, the CPU will stay at 100% and any music I might have playing will skip like crazy. Everything basically comes to a grinding halt.Sometimes it will even delay in my typing,I have uninstalled, then installed Firefox with no luck. The machine is plenty capable (2 GHz Pentium 4, 512 MB RAM-see CPU Specs Icon for more),without much running in the background, so why would it be like that?

If I press the "home" button, the active window goes "home" but a new tab is opened with "Mozilla Firefox Start Page" in it. This happens every time I press the "home" button. Can I stop it opening the new tab?
Hello I have a problem with my computer. A couple months ago I fried my motherborad and took it to COMpusa to be replaced and when I got it back only Internet Explorer, Trillian and AIM work. None of my multiplayer games will connect nor will Firefox or mozilla. I am running with an 1.6g AMG, ATI Radeon x800 pro graphics card, 2 hard drives... one sata and one IDE. no idea what the mobo is is and I also have a gig of ram.
Can anyone suggest why my ability to right click in Firefox suddenly went away? I've always been able to open new tabs by right-clicking a link, but now nothing. It still works in IE. Sony Vaio XP Home with Pentium 4.
when I clicked on a link from Windows Live Messenger, not firefox came up, but IE6. I was a bit surprised, and checked the settings, but Firefox was still the default browser. Since then, every links from an other application (WLM, Google Talk, ...) open in IE. I want every links to be opened in firefox.
I recently reformatted my machine 3 times and every single one of those times something really odd has happened. Basically after a clean install and installing a nic so I could jump on the net, I would instantly go to Tomshardware.com with a fresh Internet Explorer and try to login but I get the error of:Error: Your browser cookies are not active. This is usually due to:(a) you have changed your browser cookie settings, in this case reset your browser cookie settings to their default configuration(b) you are running firewalls such as ZONE ALARM.In this case, adjust your firewall settings to allow cookies. My father wants to know if he can increase the TEXT in the Bookmarks on firefox?he can increase text size INSIDE the browser (which he has done) but struggles to read the bookmarks.
My active browser is FIREFOX. Though I have installed IE in my XP. The problem is when importing bookmarks from Firefox to IE, I follow the wizard installed for this purpose at XP, and though the result is shown succesfull at the end this flag pops up: "ERROR CONVERTING BOOKMARKS" . I have tried both ways: Exporting from Firefox and importing from IE and the result is always the same. "ERROR CONVERTING.
Keep getting "Firefox has encountered a problem and needs to close." (Firefox annoyingly then shuts down) message after I start a search in either Google or Yahoo. This problem is new; just started after the November MS critical updates were installed last week. Google and Yahoo continue to work in IE. What security changes has Microsoft made that seems to only affect Firefox? My OS is Windows XP Pro with SP2 and I'm using the latest version of Firefox. How do I fix this problem? It is very annoying to have to switch to IE every time I want to do a search using Google or Yahoo.
first my left click stop working so i figured it was a hardware problem, i switched the mouse settings so that i could use the right click instead however i'm still having problems where it won't click...i notice that this most happens in firefox so i figured the issue is not really hardware....
I have recently gone through HP's repair function which wiped out almost everything but very few programs. My computer is free of viruses or spyware (Ad-aware, spybot, spyware doctor) but very few webpages such as this one, google and all associated pages, novell groupwise, baltimoreravens.com etc. I m connected through a 40-bit enabled security key to our wireless network at home and my roomate doesn't have trouble using his browsers.I can't connect to any MSN webpages, yahoo altavista and many many others.Having just rebooted much of what was left in the hard disk I doubt this is some software conflict. Most webpages just hang and return "The document contains no data". Finally, there "local area connection network cable unplugged" notification on my systray. But since I can post this I can connect online alright. What is going on, why are Firefox and IE very selctive with the pages they open ?
Just to start off with, I searched the forums and came up with this thread which seemed related to my problem but didn't solve it:Just finished moving and unloaded my computer yesterday. Everything is running fine but for some reason Firefox doesn't want to load a lot of images from different web pages So far I've noticed it specifically on IMDB.com and Fotki.com.It has also happened on some other random pages but I can't think of them offhand. If I open the exact same page in IE it loads almost instantly. Like I mentioned earlier, I followed the advice in a different thread an cleared the cache and history to no avail. Using Firefox 1.0.6 and XP SP2.
