SPEAKERS PICKING UP RADIO FREQUENCY
Mar 9, 2005My speakers are picking up a mexican radio station and it's annoying as heck. What can I do?

Apr 11, 2007When I upgraded to XP I had to go to WMP 11. WMP 9 had radio tuner to get to streams such as "therocker.us", with WMP 11 I can't find how to do this. Search has not helped.

"Show hidden files and folders" and "Do not show."I scanned my PC with Norton Antivirus, AVG, No-Adware,Spyware Doctor but nothing helped.

There was a count down of about 15 seconds before the screen went black. There was no "clue" as to what to do during the count down. I had used the computer the day before with no problems. Apr 29, 2008A friend is receiving anytime he turns his PC on this error message: "Frequency out of Range". The Pc can lauch the boot process ( asking you to press F10 to access the Boot Menu or F2 for the Bios Settings) then the operating system, but some how the above error message always closes the process up. Then nothing else can be seen on the dark black screen but this error message. I tried to run the Pc on safe mode to access the control panel, but in vain.

Weird Slow Mouse - Not Picking Clicks
Sep 30, 2008I have an older Dell with windows XP and lately when i double click on something either on the desktop or elsewhere, the computer won't pick up that the mouse is clicking on it.Then other times it's perfectly fine.it seems to be slow at "thinking" sometimes when i open firefox and clicking in Firefox web pages it doesn't notice that i'm clicking on stuff...so there are times when i'm constantly clicking on an icon to open it!

Sep 4, 2005Just switched computers and now my mic doesn't seem to be able to work correctly. It worked fine on my old one. Winxp.I have to yell into it ot actually hear anything.I was testing it on the sound recorder.I used 2 different mics and I have the same problem.The set up is as follows, and remember it was the saw mset up on the old system. Two speakers (l&r), plugg them into the back of the sound card. On the front of one speaker I have headphone jack and a mic jack. So I plug the headset in when I need to and I plug the mic in to jack.(Same as on old computer).that's how it is.Worked fine on old system.

No Sound From Speakers After Reinstalling XP
Jul 26, 2005I just did a clean install of Win XP Pro. Prior to this, the sound was working fine. After the reinstall, no sound. The computer has a Creative SB Live sound card, device manager tells me that it is working correctly, and the speakers (Boston Acoustics with subwoofer) are set up exactly as before. I worked through troubleshooting and it still didnt help. I would appreciate any help. Not only does the system sounds not work, but I can no longer hear audio cds (Media player 10, shows the disk is playing but no sound from speakers).

Aug 19, 2005I have a fairly new Gateway computer and have had several problems with it. As of a couple of days ago, I no longer have sound on my computer. None of my games have sound and I can no longer listen to the online radio stations. However, today when I was on a website, music did come out of the speaker (something the creator of the site built into his homepage). Gateway suggested I update my drivers, but none of them needed to be updated (when I attempted to update it told me I had the newest version). What can I do to see where the problem is coming from?

May 15, 2007My gf has a Vaio laptop and everytime we plug headphones into the jack we no longer get sound out of the speakers. we still get sound out of the headphones just not the speakers. She found a setting once that was set to headphones only and she changed it back to speakers and they worked again but now she doesnt know where that setting is anymore. Im alot more comfortable on a desktop and have never seen this setting and i have gone through just bout everything in audio settings but still have not found this.

I have outdoor speakers which when I used WinME I would simply unplug the desktop speakers and plug the outdoor speakers in (its wired). When I put headphones into the headphone jack in the left (or right channel) speaker, the channels are restored to their proper place.
