Microsoft Office - Microsoft Natural MultimediaKeyboard

Mar 13, 2009

i have windows XP home edition service pack 3. and i use Microsoft office 2003, and well recently it began to pop up and say microsoft office word has not been installed for current user. please run setup utility. Well i only have one user, never had another user created until recently (temporary fix) is there anything i can do, the main user is called the owner, it says its the computer admin, but i guess there is still an admin user, i cant get to that. the only way i can get ms office to work was to create a new user, open all the office programs, export the office registry, and import it to my main user, thats the only thing that works, for a little bit.

Microsoft Natural MultimediaKeyboard - Computer Cant Detect It

Aug 31, 2005

My computer is HP t588d. It comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Acouple of weeks ago I replaced them with Microsoft Natural MultimediaKeyboard and Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.

Since then, I have been trying to resolve the new keyboard problems forthe past 2 weekends and many evenings.

The set came with a split cable - USB and PS/2.

When I connect the cable to the computer USB and keyboard PS/2, thecomputer cannot detect my keyboard. (There is no problem with themouse)

When I disconnect the PS/2 and leave the USB on, then it can detect thekeyboard.

Problem - When I start typing on the keyboard, either it triggers offthe Calculator and HP Multimedia Player on typing the 3rd letter, orthe screen does not reflect what I type - It either jumps the order ora string of other letters appear.

Standby Mode Not Working - Microsoft Natural PS2 Keyboard Device Driver

Jan 5, 2006

Since installing Windows XP SP2 (upgrade from SP1) I noticed that Standby does not function. When I manually go to Standby, or if my laptop tries to go into Standby as per the power management settings I have set, I get the following message: "Standby has been prevented by the Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard device driver. You may need to install an updated driver."

Any ideas on what I can try. I have tried uninstalling the keyboard in safe mode and rebooting to reinstall the keyboard drivers. I have also checked my BIOS settings, and tried resetting the power management settings. I have even updated my ATI video adapter drivers. I noticed the problem shortly after installing SP2. There are no updated drivers available from Gateway for the keyboard.

Microsoft Office 7 - Can't Cconnect To The Internet

Sep 22, 2009

My problems began when I tried to download Microsoft Office 7 on a trial basis on my laptop. I wasn't successful (don't remember exactly what my problem was). I restarted my computer and came up with a Windows Installer problem that I couldn't clear with Windows Installer cleanup or an upgrade to Windows Installer 4.5 (?). I could access the Internet, but not my email on Outlook 3.I decided to do a full reload of Windows XP Pro on the laptop. That apparently went well, but now I cannnot connect to the Internet (Windows Firewall is disabled). Access to email is okay on my desktop, and experts at AT&T U-Verse assure me that the problem is in my laptop.

Completely Lost Microsoft Office S

Dec 12, 2005

A few months ago, after a long night out, I came home and got online.I'm not quite sure what happened, but I woke up, and I had lost all my Office applications. Every single one. Now I'm guessing I deleted it. No, Im not sure why either. My pc is second hand, and did not come with a boot disk. Also, I have litterally no money to sort this problem out.So I'm just wondering, if there is a way I would be able to get it back, for free. I tried restoring it too, but I can't restore it back to the date I lost it. I kinda wish I had sorted this out sooner. Then I could of restored it.

After about 6 hours of effort with Microsoft Suooprt and HP Support the answer is:Andre K (HP Tech): Toby, this Desktop was shipped with an OEM version of Windows XP home operating system. HP does not support operating system upgrades provided by Microsoft. You need to purchase the upgrade CDs from HP to resolve this issue.
