Iam having touble burning audio files from my windows media player. it begins to burn and then I get a bubble from my task bar that warns about low disk space. The burning only goes for anywhere from one to five songs worth then stops. When I click on those that didn't burn I get a window that reads, "Windows Media Player cannot burn the files because there is not enough free disk space to store the temporary files. Delete some unneeded files on your hard disk and then try again".
I had a 25 min VHS tape that I needed copied to a DVD pronto for my boss. I brought it down to a video duplication place and they burned me a DVD for me. When I brought it back to the office there were some peculiar things happening with the audio:
1) I could not open the DVD video with Windows Media Player (heavily distorted audio) or Real Player (wouldn't open at all).
2) I could open it with "Nero Showtime" (I guess this is like a file player) with good audio and no distortion.
One or two applications which used to run on my PC can't run anymore give the following error message:''Microsoft Visual C+ + runtime Library Programme: C:Programme Files xxxx.ex Runtime Error!''
It occured when trying to download and update Microsoft Net Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 and also when installing Age of Empires 3 and Direct X End User Runtime. The error is as follows (the screenshot should be attached also):crosoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library error untime Error!rogram: C:DOCUME~1AnthonyLOCALS~1TempSL83.tmp This Application has request the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
Whenever I open explorer (not IE) and attempt to delete files I get a box saying: Runtime Error! Program: C:WINDOWSexplorer.exe abnormal program termination (OK). If I click the explorer window the dialogue box disappears behind the explorer window and I can continue deleting files etc. However when I finally click the (OK) in the error box, All the Icons on my desktop disappear for about 15 seconds and then reappear as if nothing is wrong. But sometimes the icons do not reappear and then I have to use the Ctl-Alt-Del method to restart the computer. What is happening and how can I fix it without reinstalling windows XP SP2.
I keep getting the following error message:Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Assertion failed!Program c:Program FileInternet Exploreriexplore.exe File: .lists.cpp Line: 480 Expression: !(p==bodykwref.end()For information on how your program can cause an assertion failure, see the Visual C++ documentation on asserts(Press Retry to debug the application - JIT must be enabled)Abort Retry Ignore

I have also run RegistryFix and had it fix all the errors it found. Problem still there.

I am using microsoft xp and i am getting this message while using java. Most of the time when i am playing games on yahoo. My system will start to run slow for about 2 or 3 minutes and then i get this error and my system freezes for about 3 or 4 minutes and then all windows shut down or the system reboots.
I was reading the other threads with this same problem. So as advised I am posting my question in a new thread..Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Assertion failed!Program: C:Program FilesInternet Exploreriexplore.exe File: .lists.cpp Line: 480 Expressions: !(p==bodykwref.end())I'm helping my father with this problem and here is his hijack This scan.. I know it's crazy long, I'm sorry. It's 5 times longer than mine! He seems to have a lot of crap on his system. Lots of stuff looks suspicious to me, but I'm not sure
When I try to double-click my folders I get "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error Program: CWINDOWSexplorer.exe abnormal program termination" when I press ok, desktop icons disappears for a while and then appears.
keep getting a MS Visual C++ Runtime Library error message tha says Program:CWINDOWSexplorer.exe abnormal program termination.I ran sfc scannow with my winxp pro sp 3 disk and it didnt solve the problem. Any ideas for this computer neophyte?
my problem is this, i switched on one of my home pc,s today and after briefly connecting to the internet it seemed to freeze/crash so i switched off & on again and no matter what i try which includes running the network setup wizard i keep on getting the same result, an error box(microsoft visual c++ runtime library) stating that a buffer overun has been detected which has corrupted the pc,s internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must be terminated. I have no idea what caused this as this is the first time ive seen this error.
After i ran some programs in safe mode to get rid of viruses, this message came up when rebooting into normal mode."Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Buffer overrun detected program:C:WindowExplorer.Exe A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated. After clicking ok, the desktop icons disappear, then return, and the message occurs again. Does anyone know what this means.

I ran setup.exe to install Visual Studio 6.0 using DVD. It crashed. I thought DVD is bad or corrupted and used some other CD. Still Visual Studio6.0 installation wizard is crashing. When it crashed, a dialog box comes upand asks whether I can send report to Microsoft or debug. I sent report to Microsoft. Nothing happend more than that. I tried to debug using visualstudio .net. It gives the following error message.
If you install Nero 5.5.5.1 on an XP machine that has MusicMatch Jukebox (MMJB) 6.X installed, you will experience the "lost CDROM drives" syndrome. This is apparently caused by conflicting CD burning drivers in Nero and MMJB. Uninstalling MMJB 6.X solves the problem with the lost drives and allows you to use Nero. Once MMJB 6.X is uninstalled, you can then install MMJB version 7.0, and you will have full functionality in both Nero and MusicMatch Jukebox.
I know it's maybe the wrong NG, but could you help or direct me to the right one. This morning I tried to burn data to a DVD......only burnt the intro then stopped with a error.Tried again ... same thing...Virus checked, spyware checked, all OK Did a sfc scannow, did a system restore to 2 days ago.Tried again, same results.Un-installed Nero and removed all traces from registry.Reloaded Nero.Tried again, same results. I can burn to DVD-RW and CD-RW and CD-R but not DVD+ or DVD-I am adding the error message, I know its long but in other posts it has been said that not enough info is given.Nothing unusual happened at shutdown last night or bootup this morning.Problems seem to start at 8:48:15 AM #21 I don't know how to interpret this data

I just got a new computer with an AMD Duron processor, 512 M RAM and Windows XP. Only problem is I've got no audio. I've checked BIOS and sound is enabled but Windows doesn't seem to recognize that the speakers are hooked up. When I tried to play system sounds from the Control Panel, I got an error message that said cannot play sound, your sound card may be in use. The computer was a gift that was bought used and the shop didn't have any documentation with the system. I think this might be a driver issue but I'm not sure how to find out which driver to try.
I reinstalled my OS and all my software, shortly thereafter I noticed I had an issue where any sound that was coming through my headphones was being retransmitted through the mic, with further testing I found that this was not actually the case but rather any sound that would be output is being retransmitted as audio in, even if I had no speakers, headphones or mics connected. I have looked at and experimented with everything I could in every sound settings.
I have tried updated drivers, the only way for me to stop the issue from occurring is to mute the mic in the recording control, but that stops me from using the mic altogether. I need to be able to use my mic without recording anything that I am hearing as well.
First off I use windows XP with the latest service pack. I'm using the onboard sound card on my motherboard Asus striker II extreme.
The volume of my flash player (I first noticed it when trying to view a video on Hulu) but other flash embedded videos won't play sound either. I thought this was a flash problem, and tried the usual fixes uninstalling reinstalling, running the update utility and removing and reinstalling the plugin. Also it likely isn't a browser issue as embedded videos didn't play on either Firefox or Opera.
After restarting my computer after a few uninstalls I noticed my startup music wasn't playing as well. I'm thinking that it might be some registry error as it seems like the music is very quiet instead of muted, and all of the volume levels in the Sounds and Audio Device Properties menu are at the correct levels, and my other media players play music and movies just fine.
I've browsed the forums and haven't seen anyone with a similar problem or a fix, so any help would be greatly apprciated.
After hardware upgrades, my custom XP Professional audio workstation will not allow me to re-install my Digigram VX-442 audio card driver or on-board audio.
Error message is: Cannot install this hardware. The data is invalid.
