An error log is being created. After downloading the latest Microsoft updates and security patches for this virus that hit last week, the above error happen. The desktop does not open. Start button will pop up, but after the error message appears it goes away.Pressing ctrl-alt-del will bring up Task Manager, but Explorer is not running, nor is anything else. Press New Task and get a new error message, but this one is from Task Manger: Tskmgr.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created.
The last couple of days, my computer randomly gives me an error messages that says SERVICES.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created. Then, a shut down box pops up that tells me my computer will shut down in one minute... and there's a timer on there that counts down and when the minute is up, my computer shuts itself down and restarts.I've run Adaware, Spybot S&D, SuperAntiSpyware, and cleared my temporary internet files, etc. It's still doing it, and it's getting on my nerves because I can't get ANY work done. It's doing this like ever 30 minutes or hour or so.
SVChost.exe has generated errors & will be closed by Windows. YOu will need to restart. An error log is being created.re-formatted hard disk drive & re-installed Windows & apps about 6 weeks ago to get rid of redundant / incompatible software. I had been using Norton AV & Roxio Easy Media Creator. I am now using Panda Platinum Internet Security 2005 & Today, I attempted to perform "routine maintenance"; chkdsk & defrag.I ran error checking, checked both boxes, accepted invitation to run chkdsk at reboot because exclusive access to Hard disk drive was required. Using msconfig.exe, I set computer to boot to safe mode so I could run defrag in safe mode. I have done these things in the past, with no problems. Login screen appeared. I typed my password, but nothing appeared. Computer unresponsive to keyboard / mouse input. I pulled the power cord after waiting 5 minutes.
My computer at work has been behaving very oddly lately, i keep getting "... has generated errors and will be closed by Windows" For programs - Mainly firefox (2.0.0.7), but also happens with Outlook, IE (6) and Safari for Windows.Using Windows 2000, checked for viruses with Sophos - nothing. Hijack log looks ok as far as i can see. See
I am running Windows 2000 Pro, and recently I began using Asmw eraser pro. Shortly after I began to use Asmw, I began to get errors during startup. The two error messages I receive are: "MotiveSB.exe is generating errors and will be shut down.", and "ycommon.exe is generating errors and will be shut down. You will have to restart your computer." I have run a few virus programs without detecting any viruses. I don't know if these errors are caused by the history cleaner, or what, but they now occur every time I start up.
When I try to open certain files in My Documents, or any file in my folders labeled for media on my second hard drive, Explorer.EXE generates problems and I get my background for a few seconds before everything is right back to normal. Still without opening the file that I was trying to open. I have had several viruses, trojans especially, I may still have some. Im still able to open or modify any of these problem files through winamp or wmp- file, play file, up one level... my computer wasn't always like this. What should I do?
I hope some one out there able to help me. Everytime i run program, an error pops up>> ___.exe has generated some errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is created.

I am dragging my feet here. I have XP 1 and have no problems except with some Java Scripts on a certain web site. I have McAfees on line, firewall, antivirus and spyware and a pop up blocker with Yahoo. I always install the latest MS updates. So please why do I need this update? I have a Pentium 4 Gatway.
I don't know where to put this topic. But alright so basically yesterday I started having this problem. When I go to anything that uses Java such as Geocities my computer starts making a chugging noise and the browser (IE or Firefox) crashes. It brings up one of those senseless error messages about something failing. I'd look now but it'd close this screen. I tried uninstalling Java but when I try uninstalling the JS2E Runtime Enviroment 5.0 Update 5 it won't let me uninstall either. It makes the same noise and freezes up the window. What in the hell do I do? I've never had a problem quite like this.
I can't install JAVA on my computer. I get error 1722 from java. I have followed everything on the page regarding how to get around this problem but with no success. The log says (in Swedish):tgrd: patchjre, plats: C:ProgramDelade filerJavaUpdateBase Imagesjre1.6.0.b105patch-jre1.6.0_03.b05patchjre.exe, kommando: -s "C:ProgramJavajre1.6.0_03" (tgrd=action, plats=place, Delade filer=shared files) I really need java! I have tried so many things now and I really hope someone out there can help me.
I am reposting "strange error message" to reflect the exact message the computer is giving me. My daughter has 2k and said strange messages have been popping up and she can't do anything. I deciced to take a look at it. It will boot up, then it gives the above message in a box. When you try to click on it, it just freezes, and creates the same message on the bottom, so it looks like tons of windows are open. I went to the forum search and put in this message, and found a link on how to boot in safe mode and follow 3 steps, and that didn't work. I also want to add that although it has an internet adapter, right now it will not boot to internet, so I can't run anything on it unless it's possible to do any type of seach off a cd or floppy (any type of virus scans, etc.).
just the other day my internet started disconnecting itself then my modem would dial another number after maybe 45 mins to an hour of being connected. i thought it might be a dialer so i scanned with norton antivirus, spybot search and destroy and adaware but not one seamed to find anything related to my problem. the thing that confuses me is that every time it makes a new connection in my network settings labeled with user followed by what i assume is a randomly generated number.
When I start the computer, I get a screen freeze and have to press Ctrl,Alt,Del once before any programs will startup. A lot of probs with internet connection and slowness while surfing as well as a lot of pop up ads in my face.
There are system boxes coming up with registry and dll errors and the whole system seems SLOW.
I recently replaced MSJVM with Sun Java. I want to ask if the Java Plug-in Control Panel 1.3.1_02 is supposed to be removed. In the Add/Remove programs
The family computer is playing up and to the best of my knowledge the computer in question just simply suddenly stopped working as it should. I am unable to get the 'default' welcome screen upon start up and am getting the logon box where you type in a username and passworld. I know how to get rid of this, user accounts>enable welcome screen - but it will not solve the problem. This is just the start of the problems. I get a whole host of errors which popup one after another.
I am being shown "script error","page error, you may need to change browser settings",and "behind firewall" when I try and send files and photos. I've tried everything I know to fix this, but I still see these errors and still cannot send photos while I'm online.
I installed the java 6 update 11 And when I sign into the program that is linked to it may computer restarts. Thought I had a virus so I completely reformatted drive and reinstalled windows(running xp home edition). When I uninstall the update the program works but is real slow.
I'm having a problem updating my java.I presently have j2se RTE 5.0.9 installed.I tried several times I get update version 10 with no luck.Everytime I went to the java site the 09 was listed. Now I see a new update to Java 6.0 and today is the 3rd try for that but when I click to download the site is always unavailable. With the exception of tuesdays Microsoft critical updates my system is up to date.
I've updated java on a new install of xp.before installing java 6 update 6 I uninstalled what ever java could be uninstalled from add/remove programs. I've just been in there now and I find that I have both java 6 update 6 plus java 6 update 4.
I uninstalled old JRE and tried to reinstall. It will download the installer but then it never starts. I have tried cleaning registry using ccleaner. I have tried downloading off line version but I get an errer about datacab1 may be corrupt. Any help would be appreciated.
I uninstalled Java a while back so I could install the latest version and now I can't even reinstall it. Says "Error applying transformations. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid."
I have been trying to install Java from Sun Microsystems and am constantly getting this message: "The installer cannot continue with the current internet connection settings" Is there a settingI even disabled my internet connections to install without any luck.
I got the upgrade from ME to XP this past weekend. The Java Plug-In from Sun Microsystems is required to be able to generate the mailing labels online. When I try to create a label I get that security bar up top. I do click on it and choose "Install Active X Control" but I keep getting the following error message, "The installer cannot proceed
XP Pro, SP2, After installing the latest Sun Java 5.4 (required to run several programs) I simply get a blank box where the app is supposed to be running. The same holds true when I attempt to open the Java Control Panel. It's blank. Java is enabled in Security Settings and allowed in my Program Access and Control Settings. Sun Java 1.3 works fine but several programs require the updated version. This is quite annoying and inconvenient. Any one having the same or similar problem? I've checked the KB, Also looked in Symantec KB (I have Norton Systemworks '05 and Internet Security '05), and checked for any conflicts with my Radeon 9600 pro vid card drivers. I've also looked for .Net conflicts. All updates are current for all products and drivers.
I had my hard drive replaced and a new install of everything. My concern is how do you find out what version of Java you have on the computer? I went to Add/Remove and it is not there. I remember seeing it somewhere but can't recall if its the old Add/Remove on the other drive or I just happened to run into it. I went into Windows, Java, and it told me nothing about the version. Has a bunch of zipped files and don't want to open anything that I don't know about. I have 3 folders, classes, trustlib, and packages. Nothing shows what version, if its even installed. I know you need the new update for it, if its not installed now, is it needed?
so i play diffrent game and the they need java it works but when im triyng to make games the java wont come out to open for exzample they come out as a notpass and lines on it .can anyone tell me what da problum is
I am using Windows XP. My computer won't let me view Java even though I have it enabled. Certain websites can't be viewed correctly, or it tells me I need to enable Java. I have Active Scripting enabled. I've tried uninstalling Java and reinstalling it again, but it doesn't work.
