View 10 RepliesI lost a file from my file server yesterday that was extremely important by accidentally deleting it when on my local computer. I am running win2k. When I delete a file from my computer it goes to the recycle bin. When I delete a file from my file server, which is using win2k as well, it does not go to the recycle bin on either computer. Is there any I can tell the file to go to the recycle bin when they are deleted

When I go into cmd on windows XP and type the following;
Code: C:Program Files3 Mobile Broardband3ConnectWilogApp.exeThat opens up the application and automatically connects to the internet.

Code: TSKILL WilogAppTo close the application.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI would just like to know if there is any software that can make an .iso file from files on a hdd. I guess like compiling an iso image is what I want without burning anything to disk. I have alcohol 120 and what I want to try out is to put all my music and other files into nice 4.7gb iso or any other image format like mdf so that I can mount the image on a drive and if I need to back stuff up its only a double click away. I think this might end up being as much of a hassle to look through drives, but I don’t like the normal way of looking through folders and folders and sub folders to have my stuff nice and neatly organized on my pc.

Does this require Active Directory?
The procedure is as follows:
Right-click databases -> Restore Database
I mark 'from device', click the '...' button & select 'File' in the dropdown, then brows to the file itself. Under 'select the backup sets to restore' I check the only checkbox there, then in the 'To Database' I select the name of the database in the file (a new DB name appears there as you select the file).
XP Pro SP2, all latest updates. When I reboot, I can correctly sync to a time server, but after an unknown amount of time it goes back to saying "The RPC server is unavailable" instantly after clicking Update Now, regardless of what server I tell it to sync to. I also noticed that if I view my nForce Networking Controller status, then click Properties and go to the Authentication tab, everything is greyed out. If I hit OK without changing anything (I can't change it even if I wanted to), a message pops up saying "An unexpected condition occured. Not all of your requested changes in settings could be made" and just goes back to that window. I have to hit cancel to close it

Laptop is running Windows XP Professional SP2. Server is tunning SBS 4.5 and
Windows NT 4.0. I have two locations with two different gateway IP
Addresses. I have connected to each server by changing the domain and IP
address. Received messsage "welcome to _____ domain". I connect to network,
see all the computers, but can not "map" my drive back to the main server in
the other location.I did turn off the windows firewall and
made sure all my WINS, etc. was correct. I can not ping the server in the
other location. I can ping the server I am currently connected to, and am
supposed to be able (can on 2000) to map a drive back to our other office.
ran a Repair of windows XP on a machine that was fully updated and working fine. When it finished it says that the copy of windows is not genuine and it needs to be activated. So it tries to activate says there is a problem with the RPC Server. (0x000006ba) and then BSOD's. Safe mode loads fine. it still says the copy of windows is not genuine and cannot start the services to try and get it activated. I have tried running the repair again and SFC cannot run without the RPC Service so thats not an option.

It seems to be just a display bug. Or is it something more?
