Ctrl+Alt+Delete Randomly Stops Working?

Recently we rolled out a program called Imprivata. This program is a single sign on solution to allow our users to sign onto all of their programs without having to remember their passwords.Since this program was rolled out, I am getting reports of random computers at random times not being able to use the CTRL+ALT+DEL function.I doubt this is a hardware problem since it is happening to random computers at random times. I honestly don't believe that this is a security problem either since it works most of the time.

I don't know if this is the right section but I don't know where the problem lies. It could be a game issue as it's not happened on desktop, it could be hardware but I doubt it.Any game, any time, the S key will randomly stop working. Any gamers will know the S key usually means backwards in some form or another, or brake.It will just stop working and will only work when I exit the game and re-load it. Obviously this is annoying and some games you can't save when you like and some take ages to load (on this vintage thing anyway).Any idea what it is? I ran ad-aware about 4 days ago, this problem I noticed once about a week and a bit ago, and it's just done it three times on me tonight.Keyboard is PS/2 and is plugged directly into the PS/2 on the motherboard (no USB adaptor or anything). Specs of computer in question are above on the little button next to my name.

PLEASE HELP!!!! HP Online TECH Support doesn't have a clue!! I have a HP Pavilion a305w. 2.7 Ghz Celeron, 256MB Ram, Onboard Intel Graphics, Onboard Sound, Windows XP Home SP2. I have Ad-aware SE and Norton Pro 2003. I run Ad-Aware SE regularly I have been unable to do a full system scan w/ Norton due to the problems I have been having. The PC usually shuts down before Norton can finish its scan. Here is the problem : The screen goes blank, the cd-rom comes on and runs continuosly, the hard drive comes on and runs continuosly and the blue HP power button goes dark even though the PC is still on. Also the caps lock and Num lock lights on the keyboard turn off. The PC does not respond to anything except holding the power button in to turn it off.

when i press ctrl alt del all i get is a box three things on the bottom , nothing on the top so i cant go anywhere else i cant delete the box either i have to reduse it and hide it in a corner.

I have a Win XP Pro O/S . I can't seem to log on. When I press Ctrl-Alt-Delete the usual "log on to Windows" window pops up, I then type in the user name and password - at this point Windows seems to recognize me but then logs me off after a few seconds.

I am having a problem with ctrl alt del. whenever i hit it.nothing comes up. Thats my problem...it used to be fine, than tha border with all tha sub locations went..and i was stuck on tha processes section...and now it wont come up anymore.I have a feeling i have alot of trojans that are messing with my system settings. i mean i dont even have a background anymore because its a blue error message saying i got a trojan.

I have not tested this with any version of Windows XP besides XP Pro. It might work in Home Edition or other versions.If you do this, then you will get the "Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to begin" box when you turn on your computer, before it asks for your username and password. It also asks for you to press Ctrl-Alt-Del before you can unlock your computer if you lock it. This is done by default in Windows 2000 Server or Windows Server 2003.

User has XP Pro. Log on keeps looping around. User is able to put in credentials, log on screen goes away, then reappears empty. User has to do Shut down/Restart to clear, is then able to put in cred and log on completes.

Last night I started getting a pop-up box during boot-up that stated something like "press Ctrl, Alt, Delete to boot, computer is locked up." Doing this command "unlocks" the computer and then another window pops-up asking for the user name and password. After doing that chore, the computer boots-up normally.Doing a Google on this problem.

I use the Windows Language Bar to switch between English and Japanese characters.I can do this by pressing alt+shift but after a while when i start switching to Japanese characters the extra features ( letting me switch to hiragana or katakana so on ) disapear, so I can not switch.The defualt input is Direct Input ( english characters ) so when these features go away I can no longer use japanese characters at all.I restart my computer then it starts working for a while again.Would anyone know why the language bar just stops working?

My screensaver will go on and run for about 10min and then it goes back to my desktop!10 min later it will go back on and run for another 10min and go back to my desktop again. It just keep doing it this over and over ,Does anyone know how I can make it run after it starts until I move or click the mouse to back to the desktop?

Ctrl now opens the bookmarks side-bar in firefox when I try to ctrl + c to copy something it does in fact copy but it opens the bookmarks sidebar every time. Also I cannot ctrl alt delete to open taskmanager anymore.

I recently re installed my OS. Before, when i pressed Ctrl+Alt+Delete, it gave me a completely new screen, where I would have choices like log off, change password, etc. However, now i just get the task manager when i press Ctrl+Alt+Delete. I remember seeing an option to change this somewhere, but i cannot recall from my memory.

I go to run the task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+delete however it does nothing I can run task manager by going start>run but its a bit annoying having to do this I did have the antivirus pro 2009 virus.

Suddenly ctrl-alt-delete does not work anymore. I don't know how it happened but now when I press them nothing happens. This is really annoying because I have a lot of programs running that reeaaallllyyyy slow up the computer. I do have ad aware but that does not work.

I am using windows XP Professional.After every few minutes there is an message that the Dr Watson Debugger... has stopped working and needs to close.Then Windows Explorer stops responding and everytime I have to restart the computer.If you have any information about this then please inform as i keep losing all the data each and everytime this happnes.Also I would like to mention here that previously I was using Vista and I'm very new to XP so don't have a lot of knowledge about it too.

When I try to select multiple files to move, delete, copy etc. I use the keyboard Ctrl key to accomplish this. Unfortunately half the time or more this also results in a copy of the files being made. I believe the keyboard trick for copying multiple files should be Ctrl + C. Anybody know how to use the Ctrl key to select only without any copy being made.

After all the troubles I have been having with this pc, I've finally got everything working the way I wanted it to work with the exception of one thing, my screensaver. I can't figure it out. I have it set to run after 5 min of me not being on the pc, but after it runs for about 10 min or so, it stops working as if someone moved the mouse. I've left it sit that way for hours thinking that something just vibrated the mouse or something and it never comes back on. It will come back on only if I move the mouse or strike a key and let it sit for the 5 min, but then it's the same all over again. I've tried different wait times and different settings but nothing works. Any ideas?

I am working on a machine that will not allow me to get to the RUN command via the START button.when I do a CTRL+ALT+DEL, and look at the Applications tab, I get nothing!
I KNOW there are applications running, since I have Spy Sweeper, NIS, and others in the system tray at the bottom. I have run updated Spy Sweeper, NAV, Spybot, & Adaware, and although I located and removed various items, this problem still plagues me.I want to get into RUN so I can access msconfig so I can check out the start up menu.
