I am unable to install Adobe Flash Player to view videos I am unable to disable the Windows Firewall because of "group policy".How do I attach a Hijack log to this post?
Unable to install Adobe flash player. Tried going to site (uninstall, reinstall MANY times) with no luck. Read some of these other recent posts regarding, tried those suggestions, still no luck. Now the window for installing keeps popping up on its own asking me if I want to install, I click yes and nothing happens.
I've never had a problem viewing videos on Firefox but now I'm told I need to install Adobe Flash Player - but I'm unable to.I did a system search for AFP but nothing shows up. Does this mean I don't have it on my computer? How could I see videos before this past week but can't now? I have no problems with IE, which I use occasionally but Firefox is my favorite.
About every 10 seconds I get a message on my screen asking if I want to install Adobe Flash Player. I don't but can't find a way to get rid of this annoying message. I have Windows XP.
When I open to read my e-mails I get a message saying Failed to install Adobe Flash player Activex Setup. What can I do to remove this message when I openmy e-mails?
My Secunia Software Inspector tells me the detected version on my XP is insecure and download new version 9.0.47.Download of new version okay but unable to remove old version 9.0.28.0.Unable to understand vendor's instruction at www.adobe.com/go/get flash. Can anyone advise how to remove insecure version?
I have Adobe flash player 10.0.12.36 installed. When I checked the shockwave flash object dependency, it shows under file name "damaged". At the same time, any page that requires flashplayer, which is 90% of the web now, takes 100% of CPU, for example Adobe's home page. Should I remove and reinstall it? any suggestions?
Every time I go to a site where I need adobe flash player I have to uninstall the old version and reinstall it again even though the version I uninstalled is the same one. Is there somthing in my setting I need to change or is the normal?
How does one go about creating a "space (punctuation)" character using an Alt and/or Unicode to be show on all adobe flash player related products & in general for Windows OS?

having a problem with my computer. when i visit Internet.com to watch videos, sometimes i get a message that says this: "hello, you either have javascript turned off or an old version of adobe's flash player. get the latest flash player." the video does not play. however, other videos load up just fine. the same thing happens on myspace videos. also, if i go to websites that have flash based games, they work just fine. what could be going on here? i am running windows xp.
I have burned this little 15 MB movie I created w/PS3 and I have no problems playing it on any PC w/WMP Ver 10, but when I burn a copy onto a CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-, or DVD+ and try to play it in my new Sony DVD/VCR multi-format player, it won't play. The Sony supports regular CD's, DVD+ RW/+R, DVD- RW/-R, JEPG, MP3, etc, it's brand new. So who do you call Microsoft who created the PS3 software, Toshiba (new laptop w/awsome mulit-dvd burner drive), Record Now (software that does the burning) or Sony who manufactured the DVD/VCR unit (new). Each tech seems to want to brush me off on the other.Like, is there some simple switch or something I'm not doing that makes a big difference when I want this movie to burn to a disk to be played back on a TV?
after upgrading to adobe flash 9 i can no longer play flash, like Internet, etc. when i try to install it again it fails everytime. i even tried installing in safe mode. i have windows xp. sorry.. i can't remember the error, i'll have to try it again to see.what's going on with adobe? i also had trouble with the pdf reader on explorer and had to reinstall.
I cant install Flash Player 9 on my computer at work, it is running windows xp. I can install other programs like Google earth, but the installer for Flash Player 9 asks for admin priviligies. actually it doesnt even ask it just says you do not have admin rights. My questions is, is there another way around it?. I have downloaded the program to the computer but just cant open it to install. Maybe there is a trick or maybe another version of flash player that doesnt have the install searching for admin rights first like Google Earth.any Flash Player will do. If anyone can maybe find a version that I can install or maybe a trick I can use to install it. My boss is on vacation untill after the new year, and nobody in my office has the abbility to log on as admin on my office computer.
System: Dell Inspiron 9300 2Ghz Centrino w/ 2G memory Window XP Pro with SP2 I believe. Brand new system out of the box preloaded from vendor not Dell, but an integrator.
I have tried to load Adobe from the web and manual download file. XP just sits there and looks at me. NOTHING.
Sun Java 1.5 from web says load active X control (yellow bar at top of browser) click on it and windows Installer Window opens says preparing to install and stays there forever. Multiple JAVA.exe sessions running in task manager and ca not end task with any of them.
My system: Windows XP SP3 I have downloaded videos instrustions that show: Shockwave Flash Object However, when I click on the icon to pay the video(s) I get the message: Windows can not open this file - to open this file Windows needs to know what program created it. Windows can go online to look it up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs on your computer. What should I do. P;ease advise.
When going to certain websites, I'm receiving a message saying that I need to install Flash. I have gone to Adobe's site to download it, and it says "Flash successfully installed" but apparently that is not the case.
My problem is that in my computer with windows xp I used to always use the thumbnail view in the windows explorer to know which videos where which and also for images. But then my computer got all screwed up and I had to reformat it and install the windows xp again and downloaded all the new service packs and stuff. But now, I go to either the windows explorer or my computer and for images I can see the thumbnails but for videos it only shows either the windows media or realplayer logo but no thumbnail image of the video. It is driving me crazy because I really need to be able to see the thumbnails in order to identity them fast instead of having to open all of them!
I went on vacation, and when I came back, I wasn't able to view myspace songs, myspace videos, and stuff on other websites.I don't know if someone messed with my computer while I was gone. Is there something I can download that would make this work again?
My hard drive recently got corrupted and I had to install WP XP Home, instead of XP Professional that I had previously. After installation and downloading WMP, I was unable to play any MPEG files that previously worked. WMP gives me the following error - C00D11B1. Even the files thumbnails dont look the same (currently look like generic files). However, the MPEGs work fine when I play them in Quicktime and even iTunes. I downloaded/bought a plug-in from the WMP website which I think gives me MPEG-2 decoder/DVD software etc. However, I think that relates to DVD play etc, while I am more concerned about the videos from my Sony Digital Camera which still dont work. Am I missing any drivers etc that I need to download? Btw music files work fine, and this only relates to videos.
I just got a brand new mp3-player Well, Ive fixed it up and re-installed the drivers and WindowsXP keeps telling me that the device is ok and drivers are correct, but I can't see the player from anywhere, not even from the program included on a disc. Why is this? What should I do? Really want this to work
I am using windows xp sp2.I installed flash player from adobe download site.it says flash player 9.28 installed properly but websites which require player, does not seems to be finding flashplayer on my pc.How to resolve this problem.
I do believe I messed this up so bad. Here is what happened. We were having issues with our flash player so I finally got irratated and removed some things and reinstalled the flash player. Well apparently I deleted my sound device and couldn't get it back. It kept saying I needed the cd. So I got my windows Xp cd and re downloaded it. Which completely reset everything (I know well duh) but I still don't have a sound device. How do I get sound back!
Whenever I load a website in Opera with anything that uses flash, macromedia flash player to be exact, the screen flickers and turns hazy/fuzzy. Nothing is effected performance wise, but it's really annoying. I know Iexplorer supports the newest flash and shockwave pllayers, but are they supported in Opera? I tried downloading the newest version of the flash player, but that didn't help. I don't have this problem with internet explorer, but of course I don't want to use it...
I want to say this computer has not been turned on in more then a year. Family that got it off me said it didn't work... That it just beeped and shut off...only thing that looked wrong to me today at a glance was that little switch in the back was set to 230 and not 115 so I flipped it back to 115 and up until now it seemed to work fine and as fast and noisy as I remember (it's pretty big and I think a counted 12 or 13 fans in it once)...according to the guy I got it from when he "upgraded" to some sort of water cooled system or something (actually I think he just dropped parts in a vat of oil *shrugs*), he said, that this is running hot. the little readout next to those knobs to control the fan speeds are reading from 58 F, 120.8 F and 88.2...but I know my body temperature is in the 90's and the internal air feels moderate while the shell that it is all in is cold to the touch...I do not know if that could have anything to do with my actually problem.
I have the security setting set to ''prompt'' for active x control. When I attempt to download the player, I get the warning pop-up, see the gold bar, say ''yes'' to downloading active x control. The pop-up window comes up asking me if I want to download Flash Player 9 and I click on "install". The window disappears, nothing downloads, no error message. Also, what is strange is that now I can't view any PDF files on the internet. I can open the program (Adobe Reader 7.08) itself, but whenever I try to access a file on the web, the browser window disappears, again without an error message. I used to be able to view PDF's fine before I tried to install Flash Player 9.
When I try to download it, nothing responds. I need Flash Player for some websites. It says "when you see the installation completion movie above and text below, your installation was successful. The installation should only take a minute or two on a 56k modem." Well, I have a comcast connection and nothing responds. I see the symbol in the corner with colors. That means it's trying to pick it up. Well it's not.
