So I got myself a new computer not long ago, and I had some issues with the windows install that gave me 5-6 bsod a day atleast. Managed to fix that issue eventually, but lately it started to pop up with the same thing again, everything from MEMORY_MANAGEMENT to KERNEL_ERROR.
Latest one was DL/DI.DLL
It can happen during playing games, watching videos on youtube, or even idle.
Ive been getting multiple BSODs. I have a lot of school work to do all the time and it'll just randomly BSOD out of the blue. Ive run multiple mem tests and hard drive tests with nothing to report.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo, my computer has been getting the BSOD lately for the past month or so. I get at least one BSOD everyday and sometimes two or three of them. From 12 am to now, I have gotten the BSOD three times. It happens when I play games too, but I don't think the games are the cause of the BSODs because they occur even when I'm not playing. I play CS: GO and Borderlands 2 if that will work. The BSODs are always IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL errors and then BlueScreenView says it has something to do with ntoskrnl.exe. I have attached the ZIP file that the SF Diagnostic Tool recommends.

I uploaded the .zip from the SFD program from your website along with the latest minidump files (080514-4031-01 beeing the latest).
Ever since I have bought this computer, it has constantly crashed. When I attempt to fix something, for example: re-seat the memory, made sure there was plenty of cable slack, etc. The system will then seem stable for 7-10 days. Then out of the blue, the system will crash several times in a short time (sometimes this period can be a few hours or a few days). Even though it has constantly crashed (in the hundreds of times) I would say I have actually witnessed it less than 10 times. There was one time though the system had crashed, rebooted, and then even crashed again before I even had a chance to log in.
The file included is from the last 2 months and it has 30 files. This appears to be a rather large number, this is nothing compared to what it used to be like when I first purchased this system a year ago.

This issue happened from the first day I got my computer and I read that its a driver related issue.
however I did try to fix it many times until I got to the point where the BSOD doesnt happen as often anymore but I still got this one today "will upload files on attachment".
wish I could know what is causing it at least QQ.
Over the past couple days I've been experiencing a BSOD 1 or 2 times a day during what seem like, random times. The BSOD is a little funky because the screen is skewed pretty badly and no text is visible. Where do I start troubleshooting this error?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have problems with BSODs and computer unexpected power loose. Even in idle mode computer cxan restart itself. When I go to the sleep mode and wake it up I have always mutiple bsods at the windows startup. After few resets it starting up correctly and then sometimes (sometimes not) rebooted in second.
In my computer there is minimal hardware connected:
1. Mouse
2. Keyboard
3. Monitors x3
4. 2 hard drives (1xSSD, 1xSATA3)
5. External PCI music card
6. 4x DDR3 RAM
I've tested RAM in memtest about 12 hours by booting it from usb. In the post attachment my debug files (dumps etc).
I've been having fairly frequent, seemingly random BSOD's lately, only major hardware change I've made recently was upgrade my videocard to my current Nvidia GTX 750 Ti.
Errors are multiple, including Kernel_Security_Check_Failure, PFN_List_Corrupt, and System_Service_Exception.
Ran memory check and hard drive error check, no problems there.
Get tons of BSODs, a different explanations very time. I get Memory Management, Kernel Security Check Fail, NTFS File System, System Service Exceptions...

I get the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR 2 or 3 times a day. I found this mainly happens when I watch videos embedded in websites or browsing the steam store (when you browse a game there are embedded videos that play automatically in steam).
I've had Windows 8 for more than a month now but didn't have any BSODs. These started like 4 days ago. They happen about 3/4 times a day, minimum. I have attached my SF Diagnostic Report
The error it gives me on the BSOD is 'BAD_POOL_CALLER'
I built my current system about a month ago. Since then, I've had numerous BSODs, some caused by my graphics card driver. I updated the driver and the BSODs became less frequent. However, I still get them regularly, usually when waking the computer from sleep mode. I've had a couple at random times as well. I've tried to figure out (using WhoCrashed and WinDbg) what was causing these issues but to no avail. I ran Driver Verifier with all the drivers checked and have not gotten any BSODs from it. I have not yet run a Memtest since WhoCrashed said that the BSODs were not likely to be caused by hardware issues.

Usually occurring when I'm gaming, however I've also more recently been having them watching youtube videos, or just browsing.
Resolving the problem has been methodical... usually the PC appears to not be using the potential of it's graphics card, noted by a poor performance while playing games, and 3DMark tests. After restarting the computer, the scores and frame-rate increase dramatically.
After a bluescreen has occurred(various) the graphics card once again receives low scores, as if there were not graphics card installed, once or twice after a bluescreen, the wireless drivers failed to discover any networks, requiring another additional restart to restore their function..
The bluescreens include, but are not limited to:

View 9 Replies View Related I have experienced numerous BSoDs on my Windows 8 install. Under the event viewer I always get the Event 41 (Kernel Error) message, and I have experienced multiple variations of the BSoD with reasons including "irql_not_less_or_equal", "irql_not_less_or_equal: dxgmms1.sys" and "kernel security check failure".
Over the time I have reinstalled Windows 8 at least twice (including reformatting the primary HDD on all occasions), replaced nearly all the components in my PC, including case, video card, PSU (pretty much everything except the motherboard and ram).
The errors generally occur when I am using a high performance process such as playing a video game, watching HD movies or rendering.
I have an Asus laptop model X501A. A few months ago I had to get the hard drive replaced which Asus did themselves and ever since then I have been getting BSOD and low memory errors while playing Dota 2. My computer always ran the game fine before this. I can still run the game for the most part but I get the memory error every time. I can usually just close the error and continue playing, but it has gotten to the point where I blue screen multiple times a day during game. I have also heard that Windows 8.1 might be the reasoning behind this as well. I do not know much about computers and I am not sure whether I used the SF Diagnostic tool correctly, but I am attaching the zip file.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've bought this computer before 1 month and started to having problems with BSODS when it had windows 7. It was IRQL not less or equal errors and so on. I thought it was hard drive problem with bad sectors.
What I did was completely format the hard drive (low level format), Installed Windows 8.1 with graphic drivers (other drivers were already included) and started getting kernel security check BSOD errors.
I keep getting random BSODs while browsing the web, especially when opening images. I use Google Chrome and Firefox. I also sometimes get BSODs sometimes while gaming.
The approximate time I started getting BSODs is after the breaker in my apartment jumped and the PC got shut down. I've looked over the hardware but everything seemed fine.
I've included a SF Diag tool log (it contains several minidumps from over the last few weeks).
One thing to note, I do not have the Windows 8 install disk with me as I'm a student away from home right now. Also, the PC is a custom rig, I'm not sure if that has something to do with the BSODs or not.
This is the only game I play and it is giving me problems.

even one time before installing win 8, when i inserted DVD of windows to install it, a BSOD accured!
windows is totally updated and hard disk is free of errors (based on windows error checking tool report).
About an hour ago I was playing Dota 2 (a game application via Steam) when it crashed. There was no error report or explanation, it just crashed to the desktop. Upon restarting it, after a few moments it again crashed.
I attempted to restart my computer and got stuck at an American Megatrend BIOS screen talking about a CPU failure. Going into BIOS I shut off the CPU Fan monitors and was able to successfully restart the computer.
After a few moments I got a BSOD error, Watchdog_Clock. I restarted and again after a few moments got an IRQL BSOD error.
I downloaded an application called SlimCleaner and this seemed to resolve the BSOD errors, but the Dota 2 crashing without explanation is still occurring despite verifying the cache, and then deleting re-downloading and re-installing all together.

I recently updated to win 8.1 after I just got my freshly installed win 8 lenovo ideapad U510 back from the repair depot. The following errors occured that I can remember:

So my laptop has been getting multiple BSOD errors during or shortly after startup. I let my roommate download and play WoW and Ventrillo. And the issues started shortly after, first with the game simply crashing and escalating into the computer itself not working correctly. I figured the best place to start since it didn't have much stuff on it was to just put my stuff I needed on a USB and do a factory reset. Which seemed to make no change. I have run memtest once for four passes and it found no errors.
I can remember a few of the errors I have been getting.
Bad Pool Header
Memory Management
IRQL not less or equal
Kernal Security Check Error/Failure
There was also one or two other memory related ones that I cant remember the exact wording of.
I upgraded my PC from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and i get BSOD very frequently. Tried to solve it by update all drivers, but it doesn't works.
I ran memory diagnostic before, it show no errors.

View 9 Replies View RelatedRecently I've experienced random BSOD's in Windows 8. Although my computer know-how is limited at best, I knew it was best to upgraded my pc in steps. The first week I installed a SSD (with a fresh install of Windows 8 on it) and ran without any problems. A week later I installed 16 gigs of (new) ram (with the SSD) and everything ran fine.
The problems started two weeks later. I haven't made any changes to my pc or driver upgrades since then. If I idle in windows everything works fine. The same is true when running Office or browsing the internet. BSOD's occur when:
- Playing games (modern or old), either after 5 minutes or after 3 hours (seems very random but frequent);
- When wathing a HD youtube movie (BSOD's when doing this seem very rare though);

I've used the pc for a few days with a usb pen with Ubuntu Live while i was backing up the files from the disk and it was ok. No crashes and no problems. Then i installed Windows 8 and i'm getting +- 2 BSOD's a day. I've already tried to find out the source, but the logs i find in the minudups are not clear to me. I'm only uploading 2 dmp files because i've done a system restore and all previous dmp were erased. I'll upload more when it happens again.
I bought this PC on january, and since then I got random BSOD at various moments, I already tryed to restore the computer, I already did this New MSI GT70 random BSOD's and i still got a lot of BSOD, my drivers are updated.
