I succesfully installed Win 7 x64 today to my new computer, but the problem is that I don't find or have drivers for my USB WLAN-adapter Buffalo WLI-U2-SG54HG.
I tried to find Vista x64 drivers, but without success. Do I have to change my OS to x86 or buy a new adapter?
i recently bought a asus pce-n10 wlan adapter in order to make an AP for my smartphone/laptop to connect to (both have been ordered so i cant test it yet), my desktop is connected directly to the modem.Without the asus utility software (which has outdated card drivers) i cant seem to get this card to connect, i made a screenshot with as much info on it as possible (if i forgot something i will make a new screen of it).
I have a DELL N7010 inspiron which is fine with the OEM ver of Windows 7 home pre.But when i installed ultimate 64bit the WLAN drivers dont do anything , I have no WLAN detects h/w but no driver.tried installing drivers from dell but still nothing,
And as a result my wireless will not work. I just don't get it. The Vista drivers won't work, the optional Windows Update that would install the proper driver won't work, nothing works. What am I to do?
I installed a HP MV 2120 Media Vault to act as a mini-server for my media files. It has not been acting very reliable, dropping out when I transfer large (>1GB) files.
The guys over at the Media Vault forum suggested I change my Linksys router for a Buffalo (WHR-HP-G54).
I got the thing today, but the software (router configuration wizard) won't run on Win 7 (Build 7000). Incompatible OS it says.
This one is really bugging me because I have checked everything, and I cannot fathom out what is causing the disconnection apart from, either is a MB issue or driver issue...?Whenever, I turn on my computer and Windows loads it will not load the USB External HDD which has been set to AUTO so it will load when Windows loads. I have tried manual switch but this does not work either. The HDD is a combo HDD with Firewire and USB 2.x although, if I use Firewire instead its fine...?What is happening is that Device Manager in disabling the device for some reason, and the only way in which I can get Device Manager to recognise the "EXT HDD" is to search for new hardware and then it works...?The only thing that I found to be a little odd was there is no set power showing for the USB Mass Storage Device 0 mA I know it is the right port location because it is the same number. There is something I forgot to mention and that is the battery needs replacing. I have never had a battery die on me on a motherboard ever. The only conclusion I can think for the reason why the battery has been drained in the ROC Logo on the MB I used to leave on and I think it drained the motherboard battery. If the power is terminated, example the PSU is turned off then I have to reset the BIOS.
I've got a relatively new 1tb Buffalo drive connected to a Laptop. Its been working fine, but now Windows 7 wants to format it.On connecting the USB cable the disk spins up OK, but then the Win message comes up saying it wants to format the disk.I'm far less keen on reformating the disk than Microsoft are because there's data on the disk that I want to keep.
Buffalo HD-PET640U2/R-EU?I've been having problems with the above drive (similar to this previous thread). I've had the drive for about a year & a half. It worked fine (on Win XP Home) up until a few days ago, when I connected it to my new laptop (Win 7).On connecting, a warning message came up saying that Windows had detected disk errors - did I want to scan it? I said Yes, it completed the scan (no errors), but I couldn't access any of the files in Windows Explorer. I Safely Removed USB Hardware and tried again, but said No to the error scan ("Are you sure, some files may be corrupted?"). On continuing, I could see all my files.I then selected Windows Scandisk, and once the scan completed the HDD was very slow to select. It didn't show any of my files again, and showed the following error messages whenever I tried to access it:
Local Disk (E)You need to format the disk in drive E: before you can use it.Do you want to format it?
Error checking
The disk check could not be performed because the disk is not formatted. The disk check could not be performed because Windows can't access the disk.
Would you like to format the disk?Location is not available E:\ is not accessible. The volume does not contain a recognised file system. Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted.I have tried it on all 4 USB2 & USB3 ports, and my other Buffalo external HDDs work fine. The HDD appears as 'Buffalo HD-PETU2 USB Device' in:
Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers Control Panel\Hardware and Sound -> Device Manager and in Control Panel\System and Security\Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management
as '596.17GB RAW Online & Healthy'. My other HDDs appear as 'NTFS' or 'FAT32', not 'RAW', and I think (but am not 100% certain) that I'd formatted the problem disk to FAT32 when I bought it.In My Computer the disk only registers as 'Local Disk (E)'.I have tried to update Drivers but Windows says I already have the most up-to-date ones for the HDD.I also tried reassigning the Drive Letter to (K), but no change. This disk was the backup for my most important files when I changed to my new laptop, and so I really don't want to lose them. I've read on some sites that I can still attempt to recover the files even if I format the drive (as long as I haven't written anything new to it), but I don't want to risk that unless there's no alternative. Equally I'd rather not try opening the drive casing up - on one forum it was suggested that the 'power supply component' for the HDD might be the problem, and opening the casing, removing the p/supply comp and running the drive in another hard drive enclosure might work.
I recently, well I say recently but it was late 2011 I decided on building a new RIG, the final hardware change was my external HDD which I bought last week and a couple of days ago I connected and copied everything from my old HDD to the new one. It's insanely fast, USB3.0 is really fast. Although, coupled with Buffalo utilities it's even faster. When I restarted my system after configuring everything in the Buffalo utilities I restarted and it was fine everything was working as it should be until I used my PC today and it booted really slow. In fact it was so slow I had to reboot it again and it was even slower than before. I disconnected the HDD and rebooted and it was there in a flash...? Okay, this is odd, I have come across this before with an external HDD but this is the first time that I've encountered a problem with USB3.0.Scratching my head and coatie I pondered on what is potentially causing the problem, I then had a EUREKA moment. The Buffalo utilities use RAMDISK which is basically a virtual HDD which uses RAM. I delayed the boot of Buffalo Utilities and rebooted and it was fine. Whatever is causing the slow boot it's being caused by Buffalo. If I delay the loading of the software it's fine.
what the network adapter driver is called for my z77 extreme6. I'm using a usb drive to transfer drivers from another computer. No. I don't have my disk that came with the motherboard.
To start, I had Windows 7 Home Premium x64 installed with internet connectivity working perfectly. I decided to place ultimate x64 version on, but now there is no network adapter, no drivers to be found. I really don't even know where to start with getting this fixed. And for some reason two copies of windows 7 appear on start up despite both versions being the same - ultimate x64 editions.
I have a pluscom network adapter which I use to connect my xbox to xbl through my pc. I've recently had to clean reinstall Windows 7 so I've I need to reinstall the driver for this, but can't find it online anywhere.
I tried to update avg on hubs laptop so the kids can play and now after I did it we can't get online period!! on the tool bar were the connection pic is says limited connection? So I did all of the steps to fix ect and it finally came up to.
- There might be a problem w/the drivers for the wireless connection2 adapter - There might be a problem w/the drivers for the local area connection adapter
MY actual modem is good as we have 3 running right now - should I go to restore point before avg in the critical update moments before I realizes this problem?
I just performed a clean installation of Windows 7 Home Premium. The machine used to have Windows 8 but the user did not want that OS. Now that the OS is up and running I need to find out how to get the drivers needed on that machine. I can't even connect to the internet with it to download them from the laptop itself.
Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1 AMD E-300 APU with Radeon (tm) HD Graphics 1.30 GHz Installed memory: 4 GB System: 64-bit OS
I just upgraded my Compaq Presario SR1403wm from (Windows Xp Home edition) to (Windows 7 pro 32 bit). Everything went well except im now missing Network adapters/Ethernet and am unable to connect to the internet.
I installed Windows 7 last weekend on a clean HD. I then installed my MB drivers including my marvel(?) Lan drivers.
I could not connect to the internet. I kept getting a message about Windows 7 could not find the network adapter or the drivers for it. I can't remember which. But when I went to reinstall the LAN drivers I got a message about whether I wanted to repair or uninstall the drivers. So I figured they must have been installed, so clicked on repair. Still Windows 7 can't find the network adapter.
What could be wrong? I may try and play some more with Windows 7 this weekend.
I'm using a wired connection from my desktop PC to the cable modem.
Missing wifi adapter Drivers on Aspire one D255E How do i fix this adapter I'm Running windows 7 starter 32 bit . I'm pretty Confident this is reason why its failed me " A friend asked me to disable my wifi for a bit '' interfering with there laptop wifi connection '' I disable the wifi adapter for and hour.. When i went to re enable it, Surprise It disappeared !. I Tried everything I no to get back on line with having no access to net but no luck. I've ran a few different troubleshooters 5 times but its keeps on obviously giving me the same results '' network problem Missing Network Adapter or check Ethernet cord !
I may be female an 20 yrs old and Not to intellectual yett!!! when its comes to Laptop drivers but I am a fast learner . I also Can only save the driver on Usb memory stick and then install It ill still boot of the usb right?? i no dumb question and reason why obvious cannot get on net and the only reason i have access right now is cause i have Linux an windows 7 on my Net Book so..
So I have re-installed my Windows 7 due to some reasons and now, when I connect my built-in LAN ethernet cable to the pc, it just tells me, that I need some drivers for the network adapter/Ethernet controller.
i reinstalled windows 7 home premium 64-bit (from recovery media, i got it when i bought my laptop) on my samsung NP300E5A laptop, on device manager it says that i have five missing drivers, driver are:
-3D Video Controller -Ethernet Controller -Network Controller -PCI Simple Communication Controller -SM Bus Controller
Oh and after i reinstall windows, when i reboot windows it loads and instead of welcome screen it shows me black screen and cursor, i can move cursor.
I have the wireless adapter working fine, well it was working fine. The strength of the connection was only 2 bars for some reason as of late. I have other computers and they're all fine. So I assume maybe I can fix it by installing the drivers for it. The moment I install it the computer stops recognizing that I even have the wireless card hooked into my mother board! Did the driver installation break it? Because even it when it was supposedly done installing it claimed that I needed to actually plug the thing in! Even though it was working fine a minute ago. I've tried running the program but it wont even acknowledge my clicking. I tried unplugging and plugging the hardware in and that didn't work, I even changed its slots. I don't know what to do short of just reloading windows on it and skipping every using the driver cd.
