My Windows 7 system has begun to post some errors which I don't know how to correct: "Cannot load microsoft.net/framework/v4.030319/mscoreei.dll" and Service Pak 1 for Windows 7 installation failed.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI cleaned the dust from the comp & since then I am getting this error, sound is only working on front 2 speakers. i ensured the card is properly installed, which it is. Last 4 months its been working fine with 4.1 speakers.
Now I cant start the EAX control setting.
I uninstalled the card & drivers & cleaned the registry then reinstalled the drivers from CD.
On installation of the drivers & sound it detects by old speakers as stereo only but all 4 speakers give sound which is too bad, I can now use the EAX control settings .
then I run the windows update it download a creative driver which when installed does show me 4.1 speakers but now the EAX control panel wont open & gives error.
"the audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit"
any clue what went wrong & how can I get this working?
My Laptop running Windows 7 gives an error when trying to boot and leads me to the Startup Repair. View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently using windows 7 ultimate x64. I was in the middle of a process restoring my computer to a few days back and suddenly it froze. I did a power shut down and when I turned it back on, I wasn't able to get back into windows. I was brought to startup repair and it gave me errors. 'Boot manager failed to find OS loader'. There was options for restoring, but all my restore points were gone. Recovery wasn't able to find image backup.
"Startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically". I was told to go into safe mode to restore, but whenever I enter safe mode, startup repair would take over and shows the same errors, also I read a tutorial using a repair disc ( made a copy of it on someone elses ultimate x64 computer) and I get the 0x00000e9 error if i boot from disc. What can I do? As of now I don't have the installation disc with me. I wont be able to get hold of it until tomorrow. There's a lot of important files in that hard drive and I really cant lose any.
My computer just shut itself down on its own last night.Upon restart all I get is an HP screen that says hit esc. to go to startup menu, and it takes me to a screen with like 5 different options. If you don't hit esc at the beginning it goes to a black screen with a white line looks like a cursor line.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a emachine e725 running windows 7 32bit and a acer running on windows vista. My emachine recently crashed in the blue screen and I tried to complete a system restore. I was able to get through the advanced boot menu and use the repair your computer option to restore windows. During the windows setup process I got another blue screen and the computer restarting. It then started the process over and once it got to the step that says windows is preparing setup, it gives an error msg saying something along the lines of windows was interupted and needs to restart to complete installation, and it has an option to press ok. This cycle continues and I can not open in safe mode because it says "windows can not complete the installation in safemode. Also the option to repair your computer in the advanced menu options is no longer available. So after wrestling with windows starting up I decided to create a back up and restore disc on my acer for my windows 7 computer. I tried putting it on a disc but it would not boot. So I tried creating a installation disc of windows 7 and tried booting from the cdrom drive. Once I did that I got a error msg saying "device driver not found: MSCD001 No valid cdrom device drivers selected. It then gives me the A:>. Im not sure if I created the disc wrong since I cant unzip the entire file I downloaded with needing an encryption password.

I drew the line when I tried to open "advanced network sharing settings" from the control panel. I clicked and clicked but it wouldn't open. This same problem occurs with lots of other functions with the control panel and the OS in general. I am an administrator and I can assure you it is NOT a hardware problem.

View 5 Replies View RelatedRecently I wanted to check out WinXP. I installed it and it ran pretty good. But Since I use Dx 10 for some of my gaming I decided Re-install 7. When I returned to 7 I noticed WEI giving me a lower score then what I used to have. I used to have a 4.2 Aero / 5.4 Gaming graphics. Now its showing at best a 3.8 Aero / 5.3 Gaming graphics score. I say at best because first going into Windows after the re-install it showed 3.7 Aero / 5.2 Gaming. And at the 2nd day in use 3.8 Aero / 5.3 Gaming. I did everything normal as always, installed DX update, Java, Flash, Visual C+. So maybe it just needs time to improve itself or maybe I'm missing something I don't know. The Graphics Driver is up to date and is setup as it always was when I had the high score. I know Windows 7 Improves Performance over time with superfetch so I'll continue to monitor it.

View 9 Replies View Relatedhad a virus last year with an underlying update problem. the virus got sorted but i was told the only way to sort the update was to reinstall windows. basically every time the laptop was turned off it was have to reinstall all the updates as they dont seem to save when it shuts off. i left it at the time as it was only 25 or so updates. it is now at over 90 updates and i am missing some security updates. when i try updating manually it comes up with code 80071A91-windows update encountered an unknown error.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRunning Win 7 Home with all latest updates. Why can't I access all Windows 7 functions in normal way, yet I can access them directly by a workaround? I recently found that I could not access the administrator functions for computer management on my home computer. For instance, when right clicking on the main "Computer" icon on my desktop and selecting "Manage" I would get an unspecified error. Going in through control panel I could not access many system admin tools and when I try I get error of you may not "have the appropriate permissions" This applies to "Services" "Component Services" "Computer Management".
Workaround: Today I found that I can open the administrative tool folder in Explorer directly and then right click on one of the management functions and select "Run as Administrator." Then it let's me in OK and I can control things. It's only the usual ways of accessing these controls that I can not now do. This is my personal computer and I'm logged on as administrator, the only account on the system, AND it is telling me I can't access all the files on my own computer's hard drive that you normally use to manage win 7. It's not networked files I'm trying to use but my own Win 7 computer's hard drive, e.g. I get the error when I click on own Desktop Computer Icon and select "Manage."

Obviously all other software applications on the computer were gone when we got the computer back from Dell. I have since reinstalled all software using my last license to do so. Now I am having major issues with internet explorer giving me an "Object Error" on some websites. All indications I have to reinstall windows 7. How do I do this and not loose all of my other applications that are on this computer?
