My computer randomly decided to turn off and I figured it was updates, now when it restarts it goes to "device mapping table" I was running windows 7. Anyone know why it might do this and how to fix it?
View 6 Repliesthen i tried to install windows 7 ultimate from inside the windows 8.after the end of installtion during completeing step installtion stops responding.and my winddowss not installed andd my previously installed windddow also stops working.and after i tried to install winodw from dvd but after all setting and drive setting when then actual installation strtts .the first step which is coping files completes in 1 sec. and go to second step and stop responding.

clean install to mechanical not SSD so you can use ASUS software once WIN 7 installed to merge them with the "Marvell 9128 6GB port"...Regarding BIOS funnily enough I have seen images of the UEFI BIOS in forums with all 8 ports on the deluxe in SATA configuration in advanced settings however mine only shows six (and no duplicate for UEFI like other images of UEFI i've seen"?and I have updated the UEFI BIOS to the latest version..
I have a Dell E6410 running 32-bit Windows 7. When I boot the machine with an USB thumb drive attached I get an Invalid Partition Table error. I hold the power button down, remove the thumb drive and then power the machine up. It then boots with no problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA few weeks ago my computer turned off unexpectedly while I was using it. When I tried to start it up again, I got a black screen with a blinking cursor. I tried going into BIOS and changing the startup order to no avail. It's now back on default. I also ran the system diagnostic and it said nothing is wrong.I got a Windows 7 repair disk and attempted to use that. I ran the startup diagonosis and restarted-- again a black screen with a blinking cursor. I restored it to an earlier point and restarted-- black screen with blinking cursor. I then attempted to restore it to other points but got an error message (0x8000ffff) each time. Finally, I tried command prompt and did "bootsect /nt60 ALL" which did nothing. So I tried "bootsect /nt52 ALL" which did nothing. I did both of those again with "/force" (which I'm now guessing was a stupid move, but I was desperate to try anything) and now when I restart I get a black screen with "Invalid partition table". When I try to go to system restore now it tells me there are no restore points.

My emachine recently crashed in the blue screen and I tried to complete a system restore. I was able to get through the advanced boot menu and use the repair your computer option to restore windows. During the windows setup process I got another blue screen and the computer restarting. It then started the process over and once it got to the step that says windows is preparing setup, it gives an error msg saying something along the lines of windows was interupted and needs to restart to complete installation, and it has an option to press ok. This cycle continues and I can not open in safe mode because it says "windows can not complete the installation in safemode. Also the option to repair your computer in the advanced menu options is no longer available. So after wrestling with windows starting up I decided to create a back up and restore disc on my acer for my windows 7 computer. I tried putting it on a disc but it would not boot. So I tried creating a installation disc of windows 7 and tried booting from the cdrom drive. Once I did that I got a error msg saying "device driver not found: MSCD001 No valid cdrom device drivers selected. It then gives me the A:>. Im not sure if I created the disc wrong since I cant unzip the entire file I downloaded with needing an encryption password.

View 5 Replies View Relatedhad a virus last year with an underlying update problem. the virus got sorted but i was told the only way to sort the update was to reinstall windows. basically every time the laptop was turned off it was have to reinstall all the updates as they dont seem to save when it shuts off. i left it at the time as it was only 25 or so updates. it is now at over 90 updates and i am missing some security updates. when i try updating manually it comes up with code 80071A91-windows update encountered an unknown error.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRunning Win 7 Home with all latest updates. Why can't I access all Windows 7 functions in normal way, yet I can access them directly by a workaround? I recently found that I could not access the administrator functions for computer management on my home computer. For instance, when right clicking on the main "Computer" icon on my desktop and selecting "Manage" I would get an unspecified error. Going in through control panel I could not access many system admin tools and when I try I get error of you may not "have the appropriate permissions" This applies to "Services" "Component Services" "Computer Management".
Workaround: Today I found that I can open the administrative tool folder in Explorer directly and then right click on one of the management functions and select "Run as Administrator." Then it let's me in OK and I can control things. It's only the usual ways of accessing these controls that I can not now do. This is my personal computer and I'm logged on as administrator, the only account on the system, AND it is telling me I can't access all the files on my own computer's hard drive that you normally use to manage win 7. It's not networked files I'm trying to use but my own Win 7 computer's hard drive, e.g. I get the error when I click on own Desktop Computer Icon and select "Manage."

Obviously all other software applications on the computer were gone when we got the computer back from Dell. I have since reinstalled all software using my last license to do so. Now I am having major issues with internet explorer giving me an "Object Error" on some websites. All indications I have to reinstall windows 7. How do I do this and not loose all of my other applications that are on this computer?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am running on Windows 7 64bit home premium. My computer has been really weird lately. I have tried recovering my computer to an earlier time but it constantly failed. Explorer.exe will fail on me, and I have tried the src thing using run but it will open and immediately close on me. I didn't have a recovery disk so I just recently bought one. I "think" I made the recovery disk correctly. When I put the cd in, I got an error that the file winload.exe with the error code 0xc0000001 saying the file may be missing or may be corrupt.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit, with Office 2007. I have installed a Xerox Phaser 6360 DN printer via the network at work. The printer is connected, as I can open the properties and see that the yellow toner is low. Newest/compatible driver from Xerox website is installed; yet whenever I send a document (or test page) to the printer, in the status window after a few minutes the status changes from "Printing" to "Error - Printing".
i mistakely deleted all the java files instead of uninstalling the java. Now when i m tryin to uninstall java, its giving this 1723 error. Does any know how to fix this

I am using Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit system and have no problems with anything else. When the download from CNET ended, I got an error msg. saying the download failed. So, I opened up VLC Player, checked for updates, got the notice that a major update was available and downloaded it. When the download completed, VLC Player crashed and asked if I wanted to send in a crash report. I clicked on "Yes" and immediately got a new popup window saying that it failed to reach the FTP server.
