When Any Screen Maximized Cannot Seen Bottom Of The Window
Jul 30, 2012
I cannot seen the bottom of the screen or window(full window or bottom tab) when it is maximized. I am facing this problem since two days, earlier it ok( i use to see full window when it is maximized).
I bought myself a new laptop recently and it arrived today. When I maximize a Window, it sometimes leaves space above the window. It is very, very noticeable, at about half a centimeter in height. It doesn't always happen, but when it does, it is only fixed by logging off and back on again, and even then it is only temporarily fixed. If I put my computer onto standby and then bring it back on, the problem is often created, but sometimes it just happens if I launch a program. The link below goes to a screenshot showing the problem. It leaves space above my window and in that space my desktop is visible. [URL].
i have a new nvidia video card that allows me 3 monitors - however the first two are 'spanned' giving me a work area of 3840 x 1080 (which is perfect for my video editing), HOWEVER: when clicking the maximize symbol in the upper right hand corner the application window will spread across both monitors. is it possible, or is there any software, that will allow me to set the size of a maximized window? i also get all windows messages opening in the center of the two screens, very annoying and sometimes hard to read....
I am trying to deselect an item in adobe_reader...edit. preferences. internet. display pdf in browser but the window doesn't scroll to the bottom where presumably the ok button is. I deselect display, close the window, reopen the window, and display. is reselected. I can't grab the window title bar and move to the bottom either because the window is already against the top of the screen and I can't seem to resize the window and get to the bottom that way. This problem has occurred in other windows from time to time also. The people at my bank tell me I need to deselect this item for me to be able to access my account statements, which are presently not accessible, presumably because of this problem with "display pdf in browser".
My video card died a few days ago so i had to start using my integrated Intel HD Graphics.i have once screen at 1920X1080 and the other is 1680x1050 and when ever i maximize a window (firefox for example) it overlaps on my 1st screen. imgur: the simple image shareris a image of both screen and you can see the window layered onto the start of my screen under the start menu orb.
i want to make my WMP play on a maximized screen, i have to drag to fit the screen, or press maximize. any idea on how to keep it maximized all the time, then if i want to go full screen, i can.
I presume this is meant to work like the old google deskbar. If i type a search word in this box it always brings up a blank web page.i then have to re enter the search word again in the search bar in the top right of ie8.anyone know how to get it working please[the old google deskbar does not work in w7 so cannot replace it]
so i installed windows 7 about a month ago but just yesterday started getting this issue where the bottom 1/3 of my screen is White and the other 2/3 works perfectly fine. I tried to take a screen shot to show what I meant but screen shots end up looking as if everything is normal.
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T60p with ATI graphics card.
How can I tell if its my physical laptop screen that is having the issue versus my graphics card somehow screwing up? Does taking a screen shot and everything looks normal mean its my laptop screen??
This is giving me fits because I can't see my start menu so I have to guess where the search bar is to open programs. Plus I'd obviously prefer my whole screen works.
I have had computer games before but never ever experienced the problems I have with the HP games. My passwords have not been recognized, the games are incredibly difficult to download and when they finally are something is always not Kosher. Now that Sherlock Holms has been downloaded and the program begun, there are no objects at the bottom of the screen to identify (picture too large?) and no way to get out except to hit "escape".
Got new ASUS N53JQ laptop, running Windows7, and can't get the taskbar to lock. I put the cursor "under" screen at bottom, right click to show taskbar, then click on "Lock the taskbar". A tick appears against it, but when I then click on the main screen, the taskbar disappears again.
I recently just installed Windows 7 on my wife's laptop. It previously had Vista 64 bit and now of course has the 7 64 bit version.Everything has gone pretty smooth. There were a handful of drivers that needed installed but otherwise smooth. The only thing that remains finicky is sometimes I get flashing at the bottom of the screen only, like only taskbar width. I had it stopped after installing the newest driver from Nvidia but then when I ran the benchmark test from Windows for its rating system purely out of curiosity it started again. Initially once every 2 seconds now about every ten, and sometimes longer pauses inbetween. Which leads me to believe that it may be to taxing of the video card and it just glitches out when taxed. Although it seems it is probably a setting on the card/resolution/refresh rate/driver that probably needs adjusted to get it out of this little spat since it never had a single issue when I used Vista.
I cleaned my laptop screen with a damp cloth and later wiped it dry with another cloth. I left it for about four hours but when I put it on there is this bright white patch on the bottom right of the screen. How do I get it off? The pc is working normally.
my dell latitude D630 laptop sudenly when i turned it on there is a line through the middle of he screen basically showing the same image thats on the top, on the bottom to. sometimes when i shut it down the screen will be back to normal its really irrating
I wanted to preserve all the features of my taskbar and just stop it from showing up when I hover the bottom of the screen with the mouse (activating it with the windows key instead)
I guess I may have accidentally disabled some drivers or something, but I have been doing everything I could to get it back, but I failed.1. I tried restoring it using ATKpackage .. repaired + complete reinstall. ( my laptop is an Asus )2. Tried entering keyboard settings, but couldn't find a related option.3. Tried editing the registry -->HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Widcomm > BTConfig > General > KeyIndicationBut mine is already at "1", not "0" .
What is the purpose of the buttons in the bottom left corner of the live TV screen?I would have thought MS would have taken the effort to put bubble popups on all of the controls or at least to publish a guide; I can't find a definitive guide anywhere !Secondly, does the Media Centre capture use of the remote control to itself? My remote does not work in WinTV-7 since I activated live TV in Media Centre.
I can't really explain it, cause my keyword lead me to Alt+Space+M.
It's different because the way it works just different. In Ubuntu, You can Hold down ALT Button and drag a window whenever you want to go. (This kind of ability I want to talk about)
I encountered some installer like AutoCAD, even with full resolution of my laptop (1920x1080) The window still show 90% of it, which is bad because the important button are on the bottom like [Next] [Cancel] [Install] [Finish], etc. I tried to drag it to the top, but Windows 7 won't let me do that. Also, the installation screen doesn't have ability to Maximize.
Anyone know if one can enlarge the window for entering a password on the welcome screen?
Possibly due to my screen resolution settings, the login area for my password is quite small. Once the password is entered and the system finishes booting - everything is the size I like - which is on the larger side since I tend to sit relaxed and away from the 20" screen.
Is there a way to prevent a reduced window from maximizing when it it dragged to the top of the screen? It seems I have run across how to do this somewhere but darned if I can find it again.
Is it possible to restore a Window's 7 operating system with an upgrade disc which wasn't used with the original upgrade? If I use this upgrade, does it count as usage. I bought the 3 upgrade disc and have used 2 of them with one left. I just need to fix this computer which has a legit Windows 7 operating system, valid key but without the original disc. I'm not sure if I should use this disc or buy an upgrade disc or a full install.
I have been using windows 7 for about 1 month now, up from XP.There are a few issues I do not like but I am trying to cope with them.I would like to be able to move a window without it automatically resizing to full screen mode. What happens is: if I grab a window (at top bar) with mouse and pull it to top of screen and the mouse touches the upper limit of my screen, the window gets resized to full screen mode. How do I stop this from happening? Can I turn this off somewhere
When I try to access Firefox, Google Chrome, IE or any other program that starts internet access I get a flash of the screen and then nothing. If I try to access through a shortcut to a web page I get "There was a problem sending the command to the program." I recently ran "HijackThis" to remove some issues, but was able to access the internet then. Now I can't.
If a window is moved above the screen so that parts are out of view, it is automatically resized to fit in view. Is there a way to disable this?
In Ease of Access Center, I checked "Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of screen," but that only stops it from maximizing.
I have been encountering a problem with a small netbook which has a 1024 x 600 screen resolution. The problem is that the window of some application is un-resizable ( I've also tried to download a small registery hack which makes it possible to resize un-resizable windows, but it seems like it won't work with that one)So, as you know, it is possible to partially hide a window on the left, right and bottom borders of the screen, but it is impossible on the top border, where the window would just go down again (while it can't be maximized though ).Is there any way to make it possible to hide a part of the windows over the top border so I can see the bottom of the window ?
