A while ago I've done a Windows 7 clean install following the instructions in: Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 Under point 1) there is the link from which one can download the Windows 7 ISO file, put it on a DVD/USB medium, and perform a clean install. That way one can get rid of all the OEM's bloatware which sits on the HDD after having bought a new computer.
I'm using Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate edition, and every app I installed is working. But when I go to the Windows Live website, I can't download windows live essentials! When I click on "Download now" browser just keeps loading and loading but nothing happens. Tried with Chrome and IE, and I got same result. Then, I got an idea - I have copied wlsetup-web.exe file from my laptop to the USB flash memory, and then tried installing. File runs, but I can't get farther than "Prepairing the installation" because I got some error which say that I'm not connected to the Internet, although I am.

i am planning to buy the upgrade version of Windows 7 (i have genuine vista) but im planning on buy it online from the microsoft store, i read the clean install from upgrade sticky but i noticed this; ' This will show you how to do a Clean Install using a retail Upgrade Windows 7 installation disc.'
I notice the words 'retail' and 'disc' i am wondering if i download the official version is that considered retail? and im not really sure how it works, i have never downloaded an OS before, do i need to burn it to a disk once its downloaded?
If so will it then work like the regular disk allowing me to do what the sticky then goes on to explain, or will it know its my home made 50cent disk and think my copy is fake?
