View 1 Replies View RelatedI've tried all the user related fixes, the home group ones, and I do not have outlook express installed. But still it pops up every few minutes, minimizing anything I have going on, and wont let me touch it till I hit cancel.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI use Outlook 2007 for my schools e-mail. Periodically, I get a popup window that says Enter Network Password. I've never changed my password and it doesn't happen all the time, but right now it won't stop. I also deleted and re-added my account and it still won't stop. Also, not sure if this is related or not. After deleting my account and profile, I logged into my e-mail through the Outlook web app and it says "This account can't be used to access Outlook.com. You're currently signed in with an Office 365 email account, which can't be used with Outlook.com. Please click here to sign out of your Office 365 account, then use another Microsoft account to sign in to Outlook.com (for example, your hotmail.com, live.com, or msn.com account)." I clicked and logged in again and it says the same thing.

tried repair from control panel under uninstall..still ms outlook 2007 cannot open at all...Can I install a 2003 outlook to repair my 2007 emails? I do not have the 2007 microsoft office anymore
if i cannot open outlook can I still save my inbox and other email folders?
I'm running Outlook 2007 with Windows 7 on my Dell Vostro 220. I recently started getting the popup prompting me to save my password in outlook. This has happened before on other computers in my office and we normally fix it by changing the password. This time I've changed the passwords, tried everything listed here - [URL] and it still wont save. I am prompted for the password every time I try to run a send/receive or when any email comes in or out. At first I would just hit save two or three times and it would go away for a little while until I got another email but the the emails would be sent or received. Now I am getting incoming emails but cant send, it just keeps popping back up.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy computer crashed then re-booted to the login. After logging in, it all seemed to load as usual. Then I clicked on the icon for Outlook 2007 and it came up with the request for the password to the Personal Folders(1).pstThe problem is that I can't recall ever setting the password for that particular personal folder and after several attempts it refuses to let me in to Outlook. I can see the Menu bar and the titles in the menu bar but cannot click on them or ANYTHING.Have tried using Scanpst.exe without success. When I look in C:Users Pete App Data Local Microsoft Outlook I can see the archive .pst file there. The one that is causing the problem(Personal Folders(1).pst) is in a separate folder. My computer is Windows 7 x 64 Professional with Office 2007 sp2. Memory is 4Gb, I have My Documents in a separate HDD. Have attached a .docx of the issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have installed Outlook 2007 on a 2 year old HP slimline with Win7. The computer broke down and constantly was shutting itself off. We had 1 more month in warrantee. Hp took 2 attempts at sending people with different parts and finally fixed that problem (supposedly). Regardless I cannot install Outlook without constantly entering the password in order to send & to receive. I set up the commands the way mindspring.com ( which is under earthlink.net) says to do and even used to ports they say to use for smtp. I followed all their intructions to no avail. I even reinstalled it and no luck either. I can get my mail but I shouldn't be bothered with this. I read a lot about it and did the registry changes everyone reccomends.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using Outlook 2007 for a while with no problems. I used to select my account, and when the "Enter Network Password" box popped up it had the focus, so I would just immediately type in my password. I did a set of Windows and Office updates a couple of weeks ago, and now when that box pops up the focus is still on the main Outlook mail reader screen. I have to click the Password box to shift the focus so I can type in my password. Is there a way to restore this automatic focus for the Password panel when it pops up?

Anyone else get this?
I've always thought of networking as one of the black arts.
4 PCs - One Vista, 2 Windows 7 Home Premium, 1 Windows 7 Ultimate. All see each other. All have appropriate folders shared.
Try accessing A from B and I get "Enter Network Password (to connect to B)". I never set one up to start with, so why is it asking me for it. How do I access/change something I never set?
Try accessing B from A - I see the PC, and the folders I want but trying to access them results in "You do not have permissionto access folder names Contact your network administrator - who he? Obviously me but I don't know what the answer is!
Trying similar things with the other two PCs in the mix results in various permutations of the same problem.
I have tried all the various links suggested through Networking and Help, but most of the actions seem to be boxes to click to make the PCs try to sort themselves out. When it fails I can't find a manual way of trying to sort it out.
Any suitable tutorials that may help? Couldn't see any.
I have an old XP laptop which I was using Outlook Express for one of my mail accounts (a work account). I also ran regular Outlook for another (personal). I want to have both of these accounts on my new PC.
My new PC is running Windows 7 wiht Office 2007. I used the Windows transfer cable and things worked failry well. My regular Outlook files all came over well, but nothing for Outlook Express.
I really would like to take this time to somehow export my OE files into my Outlook 2007. I would really like to keep the account which imported in on Outlook seperate.
Question 1: Is there a way to import my OE files into Outlook 2007?
Question 2: Is there a way to have two seperate email accounts in Outlook without combining them? Basically I want to have a work email and a personal and keep them seperate.
If I can't have two seperate emails with Outlook, can anyone suggest something which would allow me to export my old Outlook (the old personal emails) into another program so that I can at least use my work email on Outlook 2007?
i have just got a new pc with windows 7 on it and have installed office 2007.my old pc was windows xp and outlook express 6
how do i get the emails from my old pc into outlook 2007 on my new pc?i can copy the pst and dbx files but are these the right ones and wht ever i seem to do i can get outlook 2007 to import the emails
Have a dilemma here about this "Enter Network Password" issue.
Been reading some of the other threads and tried some of the settings offered and still nothing seems to work. I'm not understanding why I have to enter a network password and where its coming from. Obliviously its from Windows 7. Also I'm assuming the enter network password is for the homegroup? I don't even have homegroup setup or enabled. If it was once setup and then disabled will the password prompt still pop-up? I'm currently using the work network as the network location, with password protect sharing off and under Homegroup connections use User Account and passwords.
I have a windows server 03 running and all my comps can login with the 03 local account but windows 7 wont let me with out putting in a "Enter Network Password". I even tested this using XP on vmware bridged environment and it let me login. So I dont know what the deal is with Windows7.
I have got a Windows7 & Windows Vista machine seeing each other to a point, when I try to access a folder that I have the permissions setup correctly for on a Windows Vista computer, the Vista computer asks me for the Network Password when I enter in the Name and Password which is on Admin it won't connect
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought W7 Ultimate edition a few days ago, and i tried to install it. after facing a lot of problems with the instalation ( had to take out all usb cables, also 2gb of ram so i have 1 left inside, in order to finish the instalation.) and now, finally, the instalation is finished. not to mention that somehow even though i chose to create the new copy of w7, my old XP is still installed.
Beside that, i finally installed w7, and once w7 starts, i enter the password, 5 sec passes, and the whole pc freezes. I Read a bit on the forums and seen that some people advised to download newest video drivers, but it didint help. In safe mode, it runs perfectyl, but outside the safe mode, nothing works.
I use bitlocker on a 500 gb partiton in my hard drive. Windows 7 is also installed in the same drive. before it was all fine but since this morning i hvnt been able to start windows(it hangs at the welcome screen). I switched on the computer then I enter the numerical bitlocker password ....then it hangs at the welcome screen. I tried accessing the Bitlocker encrypted drive from other operating systems the drive is shown as locked. when i tried to open it, it prompts for the password. when I enter the password the computer freezes.
View 1 Replies View RelatedVery strange issue on HP Elitebook 8440p running Windows 7 Pro - 32bit:
- Domain user logs in successfully after PC powers on
- Goes into Standby mode while still logged in
- Resumes from Standby by pressing the power button
- Gets to the login prompt by pressing Ctl-Alt-Del
- Begins entering password (which begins with an uppercase character), and is only able to enter *two* chars - after which all other keystrokes are ignored.
The only way to login is to force the machine to power cycle.
I've got a desktop computer with XP Pro SP3 and a laptop with both XP and Windows 7(dual-boot). These two computers are connected through a router in a network(desktop comp-wired, laptop-wireless). Everything works fine, except the sharing in Windows 7. From the desktop computer I can access all resources on the laptop without problems. From the laptop, everything works fine too, when I try to access the desktop computer's shared folders and printers, but ONLY FROM XP. Every time I want to do this from Windows 7, I'll be prompted for a "network password". I have no idea what I had to enter - I did a search over the internet, and found following suggestions:
-turn on network discovery, file and printer sharing, public folder sharing at the Advanced Sharing Settings, and disable password-protected sharing
-both computers are in the same workgroup
-disabled the limitation of blank passwords in the group policy editor
NOTHING WORKED. (firewall might not be the reason, because I use Windows Firewall, and it's configured to enable sharing)What username/password do I have to enter, or how could I access the resources without a password?
I created a vpn 'server' on a XP pro machine...I am using a Win 7 Home machine as the Client...I vpn in...goes thru perfect...I cant actually see the computer or get to it by name, I only can if it input the ip \10.0.0.? when I do this i get a Enter Network Password...I have tried the user/pass I created for a shared folder on the target machine...i have tried the admin user/pass on the target machine...i made my user/pass on my Windows 7 machine the exact same as the taget machine and nothing works.
whats jacked up is....I have a laptop with Windows 7 on it and it works great...and another XP machine that goes thru perfect as well.. the Windows 7 machine in question I just did a complete factory restore on it and still same thing
I connected win xp with Windows 7 before and it probably work . now i've changed my win xp and connected it again . now when I want to logging in win 7 it doesn't have any problem but when i want to logging in win xp it show me a windows that says enter your user name and password . I have define a user and pass for win xp and tried it again but it doesn't log in .
How can fix the problem?
It is becoming such a hassle trying to play a game with a friend, when every 15 mins i get forcibly minimized to this box, and have died from it before. I have tried all the "fixes" regarding the user account and sharing part, none have worked, but somehow delayed the speed of the messages. Nothing has really changed lately, other than formatting a partition (but the messages appeared before this) Any suggestions? Also, it pops up on every program I use, my games, my browser, msn, etc. Wont let me click back on the program till I hit cancel
