View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed Windows 7 a few months ago. I started having problems soon after. So I reinstalled Win 7, Friday. The same problems continued. One that my son found was when we installed Spy Sweeper. That made it impossible to switch between users, so we uninstalled it. The other major problem has been the Developer's Tools window that pops up when I try to type any reply or information into any program on the internet. I can't get rid of it by hitting the X. After about an hour on the computer, that stops. Does anyone have an idea on what could cause this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the past two days a tremendously annoying popup window has started showing up about every minute and a half. It is labeled "Xmarks Authentication" and it asks for a username and a password. I don't have any idea where it came from. I have run a McAfee scan with no result, and have searched the hard drive for "Xmarks*" and found nothing.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a genuine copy of windows 7 and the validation tool has ran on several occasions without a problem. I purchased it from PC World prior to when windows 7 was first released so that I received my copy asap. I'm now getting a pop up window which says my copy isn't genuine even though I know it is, can this be resolved without a reinstall?
View 5 Replies View RelatedReceived above cheerio about a week ago ignored it and carried on as I knew my version was indeed genuine have had it for three years. 2 days ago, after normal start up,the screen went blank actually black , and the only thing showing is the above message again ,with the notation " Build 7601 " Unable to get any thing to come up at all except " Task Master " reference which proved to be useless. So made the call to Microsoft in Manila, and was able to convince them that my item was " genuine " however they then left me "in the lurch " saying I need to get in a tech guy, as the MS guy could not guide me out of my black screen situation, tho he gave me several ideas to try and pull up the "Start " button and get back in,So any ideas how I can get myself back to " Square One " ?? let MS know I am not impressed -- they cause the problem , in my opinion.

All of a sudden I have this message in the corner of my screen- Windows 7 Build 7600- This copy of Windows is not genuine. The last thing I changed in my system was adding an SSD which was about 3 months ago now, and haven't had any problems. It is on Windows 7 Ultimate and I have had it installed for nearly 2 years now(jan 2011).
Here is the info I believe is required-

A few pop-ups lead me to some kind of Windows validation where after a few minutes it came up with the message- "The product key used to activate Windows on your PC is already in use on another PC or has been blocked by Microsoft. Not to worry, we can assist you with that."
I had to reinstall my OS due to a hard drive failure about a month ago. When I did I used the re-installation disk that came with computer. Everything was fine until yesterday. Out of nowhere I am getting a message that my copy of Windows is not genuine. I tried system restore and used a restore point that was created right after I installed the OS. Still no good.
View 7 Replies View RelatedA couple of days ago, my laptop which is a few months old, started showing the message on my desktop Windows 7 Build 7601 This copy of Windows is not Genuine" and was asked to validate my Windows. My Windows 7 was pre-installed by the manufacturer and I do not have a key to validate it? I have not had any issues with it so far. I have double checked for any malware etc, no viruses present.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have purchased a laptop computer, it was for a 64 bit copy of windows. I was having problems getting the computer to work in our office, so after much research I determined I needed the 32bit copy of windows 7. I popped a disk for windows 32bit in the computer and it automatically started to copy the needed files to install the windows 7 32bit edition. It stored my old settings in a windows.old folder. s
So I figured this was something really cool that Windows had coded to allow someone to quickly change over to a 32 bit OS. Last week I get a message that my copy of windows is not genuine. I tried entering the code on the underside of my laptop and it stated that it was for a different copy of windows. The problem I am having is I now have a working laptop with windows 7 that has been working fine for a long time. I don't want to have to buy a new OS license.
Can i install printer drivers if the copy of Windows is not genuine?
