Installed Windows 7 32 Bit Sony Vaio And Wireless Not Working
Apr 14, 2012
Ok I have just installed windows 7 32 bit operating system and now my wireless is not working! I have a sony vaio VPCF132FX i7 processor,
It use to have windows 7 home premium but the hard drive had to be re formatted and then I installed windows 7 ultimate 32 bit and there is no drivers for mine .
The wireless card built in is a marvell i believe.
I was working on an email Saturday when my Sony Vaio stopped working & flipped over to the black & white Vaio screen. Since then, I've been able to reboot it once, but it flips right back over to the Vaio screen. At one point, I was able to get to the Advanced Boot Options menu by hitting F8. I tried to restore to the last known good configuration. It got to the Windows logo screen, then went back to the Vaio screen, then went to the "Operating System could not be found" screen. The computer has a One Touch Web Access Without Booting Up feature.
my sony vaio's built-in bluetooth is not working. im using windows 7 32-bit. what am i gonna do?? ( i already tried "services.msc" but still it is not working.
I recently installed a new HDD (Seagate ST9500424AS; p/n 9RW143-567) in my Sony VAIO VPCEH11FX and installed the OS using the Sony VAIO Recovery Media Kit (VPCE_10FX Series 989203008). During the installation, I selected the default or normal settings. A short while (1-2 weeks) after the installation was complete, I noticed that the track pad was not working after enabling it using Fn+F1. (The pointing device dialog box DOES appear when I press Fn+F1 and shows that it will toggle between enable & disable). I took the computer into Fry's (where I bought it) and they booted a different OS (I think it was Windows XP) using a CD. Using this OS, the track pad worked. So it was confirmed it wasn't a hardware issue. I proceeded to contact Sony. They had me do the following:
1) download the latest drivers & driver updates and install both. This didn't fix the problem. 2) uninstall 'Alps Pointing-device for VAIO' and run the .exe files for the driver & update. This didn't fix the problem. 3) boot the computer to recovery mode (press F10 when it starts); I noticed that the track pad was working in this mode. 4) Confirm that the other ALT keys functioned properly. (they do function properly)
The Sony rep asked me to confirm the type of HDD I installed (I forget what specifically he was interested in), but upon my reading him the part number, he confirmed the HDD was compatible. The Sony rep then suggested I either recover the system to a previous version/date and see if the track pad is working. (he seems to think some software I installed might have prevented the track pad from working) He also suggested I could reformat the HDD and reinstall the entire OS. I've balked at doing either, as I'm guessing there is an issue with the registry.
I'm having trouble with my Sony Vaio VGN-FW520F with the Function Key not working i tried looking up the drives from the Sony US website and cant seem to find it. I had updated my Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows Pro and cleared my hard drive in the process.
The notebook is Sony Vaio VGN-CS21S-W. I've upgraded to Windows 7 and the multimedia buttons stopped working. I'm talking about the sensor/touch buttons. I've installed drivers and the function buttons are ok, but still without success with multimedia buttons.
I have purchased Sony VAIO E series three months back working without any issues. But after 2 months, the built-in keyboard and mouse not working after windows starts. USB mouse and other features working without any issues. To make the keyboard and mouse, i have should restart the system 2 to 3 times or uninstall the driver for same. The laptop having Windows 7 Home Premium. After the problem, i have reinstalled Windows 7 Enterprise and also did built-in system recover. Still the problem persists. Is the problem related to Windows 7 or with hardware? But once the keyword and mouse drivers uninstalled via device manager working fine. OS is 64 bit
Cannot seem to get the webcam to work in any application, I think I need correct drivers or something, been on the sony website and downloaded everything that I thought would be relevant to no avail...
For example when I use Windows live messenger it says "we cannot connect to your webcam, your webcame may be in use by another program, please check it and try again"
Saw similar problem below but my computer is brand new (out the box today) Sony Vaio VPCEH14FM came with on board Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. When I input my SD card, the card reader lights up briefly so its seeing it, but it is not appearing on my computer and when i try and run the extra drives nothing shows up. When I plug my mini sd into the usb port it works, but id like to figure out the actual sd slot for my camera?
Sony vaio webcam not working or even detected in device manager from what i can see. there is an unknown usb device labelled as internal usb. its a brand new laptop, came pre installed with windows 7 pro, 64 bit. ive read around cant find much.
My TV is a Samsung LE40C580 and it connects to internet through ethernet cable. The TV can find my laptop when I go onto sources but my laptop device does not find it. From Windows media player I allowed streaming through the network but when I get onto Media Play(TV's Media Player) and choose the video folder for example it says, 'No movie files on current device. Select another category'. Same for Music and Photos. How am I supposed to fix this?
I've recently purchased a Samsung T23A750 monitor and to my disappointment when I try to watch a movie the built in speakers are not functioning. I have a Sony Vaio Z216GX connected via HDMI to the monitor (HDMI-DVI) port. I can definitely see the video, but no audio is playing from the speakers. The built in speakers are not at fault- I did a self-diagnosis of the monitor and the speakers seem to work fine. I also set the monitor as the default for the audio and even when Win 7 says its functioning properly, the speakers still don't work. Conversely, setting the default to my PC speakers work fine. I'm sure its not the HDMI cable- I used the same one to hook my pc to my tv with everything working fine.
Win7 64 wont start on a Sony Vaio. It will sometimes get to the desktop and seconds later it shuts down. No logout, just a black screen total shutoff. when restarted the black screen popped up again but this time it was with the message "windows failed to start" and the options were either "launch startup repair" or start windows normally. I chose "launch startup repair".
The startup again goes to the immediate shutdown, more quickly each time it is tried. I have gotten into safe mode and performed a memory and disk check which were ok. It seems to go farther into the startup after it has been shutdown for a while.
I'm new here so sorry if this is in the wrong section... I just got my sony vaio laptop and it has wondows seven on it. I can see the green bar going up and down indicating that my sound is on, but I do not hear anything. Also everytime I try to go to a website it says certificate error and even when I click Proceed to this website it shows no graphics. IS there any way to get rid of that anti virus feature? THE MODEL NUMBER OF MY COMPUTER IS "VPCEB15FX" Also, a fast response is needed. I'm leaving for vacation on the 15th and need this fixed by then.
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-Z590 that has 2 x 64 GB SSD hard disks that are arranged in a RAID 0 config. When installing Windows 7, the files are copied and the computer reboots, but when it reaches 85% on the Completing Installation screen, the laptop will power off. I have checked to make sure that the power adapter is plugged into a working power source, checked the battery, and even opened up the laptop to make sure that the cooling fan is working, but it still shuts off at that point. I have also disabled the RAID and tried running the Windows 7 install off of a USB drive, but it still shuts down at the same point.
One day when all my laptops performance was very fast and such, windows failed to start...and 15 16 times in row it failed...My laptop is Sony Vaio VPCF11Z1E btw - i7 8Gb ram bla bla bla basically it has almost top performance hardware. i said ok and removed my personal data with the help of recovery center and using recovery discs i reinstalled w7 (which is home premium btw). Anyway for 2 days it was ok STİLL SLOW but at least managable...but now it takes minimum 5 minutes to start-up.. another 4 minutes to load taskbar , desktop stuff...my antivirus (avira antivirus) keeps shutting down and start up again.. double clicking a file is like 3 minutes to open. and when i try to browse the web (doesn't matter if its chrome opera firefox happens to all) it just not responding ASAP. i mean its brandly new installed windows and its like a billion times slower performance...i dont understand why...i saw people posting messages on forums with same kind of problem and i tried basically EVERYTHİNG i saw as a suggestion..my startup is not full at all ...i turned off the ones that i dont need on startup. i mean nothing can cause any problems..checked everything on task schedule and all that ...even now i've been writing this post over 34 minutes (keeps giving "not responding" for 3 mins and giving me 45 seconds to 1 minute to type).basically its this.
- pressing power button to turn on - windows logo....now this takes minumum 4 5 minutes - Welcome screen ....3 - 4 minutes minimum - desktop bacground screen ..4 to 6 minutes
i mean what the hell i had that process under 2 minutes not 2 3 weeks ago and i just cant get this thing figured.
i just installed a a new OS of older version of window 7 32 bit than the default OS on of windows 7 64 bit my Sony Vaio laptop. I need drivers to enable my laptop work properly.
