View 1 Replies View Relatedfind a driver for my video controller? I've just upgraded to windows 7 from xp, and HP doesnt seem to make drivers for my old laptop anymore, though windows 7 is running pretty smoothly! I've been able to find all of the missing drivers, like the one for my soundcard, and install them either in vista or xp compatibility mode, but I can't seem to find this last one. I read in another thread that the hardware IDs might be helpful. Well, here are the hardware ids listed for my video controller (I'm still not even sure what the video controller does):

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had one of my regular BSOD (I'm quite sure its a RAM issue) and nothing unusual ever really comes from it, however today it screwed up my USB controller driver and now I'm perplexed as to how to get a fix for it.
(Windows 7 64-bit)
Windows recognises all of my 8 Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller devices in Device Manager and upon startup it attempts to install the drivers, but fails on each one of them every time. I've tried to manually update the driver and I get the message:
"Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
Intel(R) ICH9 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2935
The system cannot find the file specified."
The file associated with each of these devices is C:WindowsSystem32driversusbuhci.sys
I've tried countless chkdsk C: /f in CMD to no avail and my Windows 7 disc did nothing to automatically find a cure (wasn't sure how to find the driver manually from disc). I've been told that the drivers for USB controllers are downloaded through Windows Update however I have extremely limited internet bandwidth and simply cannot be downloading 300mb of updates (I searched and couldn't find anything vaguely matching the description of the driver I'm after).
This is driving me a little mad and I really don't want to resort to reinstalling Windows. I've tried Aida32 to try and find out my motherboard type and it shows as unknown.
I've just been downloading various Chipset drivers and browsing through the MANY options that windows provides me with when searching for drivers on my computer, however, whenever I try and automatically OR manually install a driver, even when I'm SELECTING THE FILE for the driver, it STILL comes up with that ridiculous message of "Windows found the driver software ... ... The system cannot find the file specified."
So My new Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit PC doesnt seem to want to sleep. I'm away to work for a day at a time and when I get home the PC is up and running.I found this article:Windows 7 will not sleep or not sleepingwhich indicates to update driver, particularly the video card driver. I go to the vendor site and download the newest driver. I go to Device Manager open Display Adapters and find my card, double click on that and I'm in the properties. The driver date is 9/2010 so there is definitely a newer driver. Click on update driver/search on computer and navigate to the folder where I downloaded the new driver. I click next and get "Windows has determined that the current driver software for the device is up to date" and thats it, no apparent way around.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just bought parts and collected a new PC system. My Motherboard is AsRock M3A785GXH/128 ASRock > Products > M3A785GXH/128M
and regarding to the manufacturer it should be Windows 7 hardware ready.
But I can't install Windows 7 pro 64 bit on my new system. The Windows 7 installation application can't see my harddrives and want a driver to them. I assume that should be a driver for the SATA controller on the motherboard. I've tryed to use the drivers on the motherboard cd-rom and tryed to use the drivers froms asrock homepage, but Windows 7 wont accept them.
I have contacted AsRock about this issue, but I'm wating for an answer and hoped that you guys might has seen this problem before, and will answer quicker than AsRock Support
I should say that I cant install Windows Vista Business 64bit without any problems at all.
i don't know if the video card and the graphics card is the same thing (because im not from UK or USA). my problem is that i have installed the driver and by the devices appears a yellow sign that shows that i have installed nothing what should i do ? my card is : ati radeon saphire x1550 (if someone didn't understand that what i wrote plz ask me for more explanations)

I opened the setup on the video card cd but it says "the graphics adapter installed in this system is not compatible with the current set of drivers" and it won't install the drivers. The opening screen of the setup cd says "installed graphics adapter: not found".
