It's been set up to run Windows XP, but I own a copy of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, and would like to install that. However, after selecting boot from CD/DVD, it gets as far as uploading the files, and then as soon as it starts the main installation program it just restarts.

NO issues, everything runs fine.
Removed WD 250g and switched to Samsung F1 Spinpoint 750g drive (which is essentially my old gamming system running on xp).
Cannot install Windows 7, regardless of version, locks halfway through install. Hard reset and Drive is no longer detected.
I experienced this same issue back when I had the gaming system and the only way to fix it was to disable Command Qeueing ( which was recommended by users with same issue ). The problem seems to be with the nvidia chipset ( in this case 6) not playing nice with some Samsung drives. However, I was able to install XP and of course disable this option. PC then ran fine for a year, no lockups.
Basically same system, but will not allow Windows 7 to install. Ive tried different sata ports, different partitions, different Windows 7 versions, different bios settings... Always locks halfway through.
I'm having a hard time trying to install Win 7 Ent on a Samsung NP900X3A with an SSD. I tried the flash drive method, DVD's and also the factory recovery disc without any luck. I can get it to boot and pass the Install window, but once it's there, I'm stuck at the part where it ask what disk and partition to install. I've used GregRocker's suggestions to prep the SSD but, still no luck.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI thought my Netbook deserved a fresh install and so I started formatting my HD's with GParted. NTFS all in one HD of course. Well I fixed my bootable ISO with the original Windows MSDN on my USB stick and it all worked perfect. UNTIL I had to restart my computer.
First I got this error: "Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware." Then, when I restart my Netbook again, it gives me this error: "Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart the installation."
I've tried a lot, messed around in my BIOS, tried reinstalls of multiple versions of Windows: Windows 7 Ultimate x86, Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Windows 7 Starter (32bit only), Windows 7 Enterprise and much more. It simply all gives me the same ****ing error I really don't like it.
Alright so, I just got a new computer yesterday and it just so happened to have Windows 7 64-Bit on it. I am a new user, that in a few days has switched from XP to 7. I own a Samsung BlackJack II, which I have done countless modifications to, and now, I cannot seem to sync it up, let alone, connect it to my computer. When I plug it in, via USB.
It worked the first time, synced it and everything with Windows Mobile Device Center, but then when I unplugged and replugged it in, driver's were corrupt(obviously), and tried uninstalling it all, and then reinstalling them all, drivers and WMDC, and I get a little notification that informs me that the drivers were unsuccessfully installed.
Which is no longer making any sense to me... At all! lol, so I was wandering could you guys help me out here? I'm new to Windows 7 and I hope that this Community, gives me a lot of insight, and information to get back on my feet.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUp until now I've never used the SD Card reader in my laptop, but now I want to use it however it's not showing up under My Computer. I have downloaded the 'MS Hotfix MemoryCard' listed under Software (which only appears for WinXP) here: Support for NP-R519
But when I try to install (Running as Administrator), the command prompt flashes for a second then nothing happens. I've tried restarting anyway in case it had installed but my SD card is still not recognised. I've also tried running in compatibility mode with WinXP SP2 and Vista SP2 - no luck.
This card reader apparently is SDHC compatible, but my card is only 2GB anyway so its 100% compatible. I've done a google search and it seems a lot of people have problems with this one particular device/driver.
Also I've looked under Device Manager but I'm not sure where it would be listed, though I'm confident its actually not listed at all.
So what should I try next? I'd rather get it working than have to buy an adapter.
Got a problem with a fresh install on my laptop like the title says. Normally I can always figure pc related problems myself but this is my second night trying to fix it and I"m about to give up. So my last resort is to create a topic here, res something I haven't tried yet (or make a conclusion my laptop is ****ed). So here's the situation. Bought this samsung R710 laptop about 2 years ago with vista premium on it. With windows 7 release got a digital legit version through my student program on MSDNAA. Downloaded the image, burned, install went all smooth. So basically I've been cruising on windows 7 professional 32 bit since the release without ANY problem.
Thing is now, computer was getting slow and started to see some malware and spyware so like most people do then, time for fresh windows install! So yesterday I started the process of getting the fresh install. Backing up all my files on my external hdd en found my windows 7 dvd again. So my computer is nearly completely empty, something like 250gb free of the 300gb.Got the disc in, rebooted my pc in the hope that the installation starts. And here comes the problem, it's getting the disc and i'm getting the screen with windows is loading the files, then the windows is starting logo. Then I see some low resolution big ass mouse appearing on the screen and I"m like, well this is going fine, this is the installation starting like I remember. Well after a few seconds, the laptop just shuts down and just reboots. And this happens really EVERY frikkin time. So basically I'm not getting into the installation of windows 7.
So already tried alot of things, like doing the upgrade instead of the fresh install ( yes I know, windows 7 upgrade to windows 7 but I was just trying everything out). Well this gives the error that I dont have enough harddisk space which is really strange aswell. I tried doing a fresh install through while my pc is turned on in the setup of the disc. This actually went fine, the installation started getting the "windows is copying files" and all untill the point the computer has to restart to finish the installation. Here is where it goes wrong, from the setup on my desktop windows starts installing but when it reboots it just does the same thing again. It wants to enter the installation but it goes into a endless reboot loop.Well luckily i'm still able to get back into my pc since it's now on some strange dual boot where it says 1 option with "windows setup" and the other with "windows 7"where the latter one gets me back into my pc normally.I'm really out of ideas, tried nearly everything, from installing random drivers like for my videocard to updating my bios. At this point I don't even mind going back to vista but samsung never gave me a vista disc so I'm basically stuck on this shitty windows 7 installation which I want to get rid of.
i have changed my system type from64-bit to 32-bit and lost drivers required for youcam..so can i know what kind of driver are needed to get a you cam installed in a samsung laptop

I finally browsed to it in the Programs folder and deleted that .exe file so it wouldn't pop up at every start. It shows installed in the Device Manager, however doesn't have the functions I had in the Samsung factory install. View 5 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if Samsung have released drivers for the R60 laptop that are fully functional in Windows 7, when I installed Windows 7 I had to search for all of the drivers myself, I was given a disk with the laptop but it only works in Vista. When running a benchmark test, the graphics were much better in Vista because I dont think I can find the right driver for the graphics card in Windows 7.
Also, a lot of the Fn buttons dont work anymore, for example changing the brightness, turning off the display, showing the battery level on screen, etc. I assume this is done through the chipset driver which I never had to install or even looked for.
Also, one last thing, with my graphics card on Vista I get a little ATI icon in the notification area, along with the Catalyst Control Centre, although I never get this in Windows 7.
i just installed the latest build of Windows 7 (build 7100). and there are a few problems with my graphics options. There are 2 systems that i tried this on and both are having the same problem. The first setup has a Ati Radeon X1650 by MSI, and the drivers install, signed by WDDM. Now the monitor/tv that i am using is a 42inch LCD TV, and has the 1920x1080 resolution, that is its native resolution. Windows 7, supports the resolution and has it as the recommended resolution, however, when i select it, my monitor says "mode not supported" this is the same problem i have with the HD2600XT card from ATI.
Both of these cards work in Vista Ultimate, Vista Home Premium, Vista Business, and XP Pro SP3 and XP Home SP3, and even tried Server 2008 and server 2003. all of those OS's work with the native resolution on the monitor except the Windows 7 builds. anyone have an idea why this would be??
also, for the HD2600XT i did install the latest ati driver 9-4, and nothing is fixed. right now i am running it at 1280x768, but its skewed.
if anyone has any info on this it would be great, as i have tried everything.
i have also tried installing the 9-3 drivers on both cards, manually and using the installs. the manual way was to unzip the driver package and in device manager install the drivers myself.
The one system i have plugged into it now is a Shuttle Barebone SG31G2B, 4 GB of ddr2/800 ram, quad core q6600 2.4ghz, and the hd 2600xt.
Set up:
OS: Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit
Graphics card: Radeon HD 5450
This graphics card is connected with a samsung syncmaster 2253bw (Main monitor) and a samsung LED TV ue40b6000vpxxn (HDMI to HDMI).
Screen Resolution Syncmaster: 1680x1050
Screen Resolution LED TV: 1920x1080p
Problem Description:
I've connected my graphics card with the hdmi 1 port of the led tv. The tv only shows a crispy image of the first few boot screens whenever i turn my desktop on. The tv shows the error "Mode Not Supported" once it gets to the account login screen. According to the tv manufacturer's manual, the screen resolution and refresh rate of both screens should match in order to get it working.
Actions taken:
I've tried out all possible screen resolution combinations at the control panel of the pc. None of them gets my tv to show what's on my main monitor screen.
Question:
Are there any other steps I can do in order to use my tv as a pc display?

View 2 Replies View RelatedCurrently having resolution issues with my 26" Samsung LCD TV (Model #LN26B360C5D) when used with an older Dell Dimension 3100 PC with Windows 7 Ultimate, SP1.After a re-install of Windows 7 done by a colleague, for some reason my TV won't display it's native resolution of 1366x768 which I'm almost 100 percent sure it had before because I didn't notice any distortion or quality loss. I checked the drivers of both the monitor and the adapter and they read as follows:
-Adapter - Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
-Monitor - Generic PnP Monitor
When I first plugged the VGA cable into the PC, after the re-install, a Samsung driver option appeared and then quickly changed itself to the Generic PnP driver. I have searched all over the web and cannot find the corresponding PC driver from Windows that will work with my TV (if that is even the issue). I also tried booting in Safe Mode and into low-resolution 640x480 and changing the resolution manually hoping that would work but it didn't. There are several Samsung drivers on the PC when I deselect the option "show compatible hardware" in the screen resolution window but I can't figure out which driver works for my tv.
So I got a samsung mobile phone and I use Samsung PC Studio (latest version, upgraded etc) to transfer files. I also can set that mobile phone in "Removable disc" mode, and then I access it like a removable disc (like a flash drive).
But none works. In Studio app my phone isn't recognized, and I can't either do anything in removable disc mode. I'm using RC1.
I have a Samsung NP300E5A-A03US laptop, It has it's own interface for it's updates, it keeps telling me I need a bios update, I have called Samsung support, chatted with Samsung techs. I have done this update at least 15 times, 2 different ways. The tier 2 tech told me that I didn't need the update, He said why do you think that your computer needs a bios update, and I said, because I keep getting these messages that I need it, and it is in the interface as needed. He said, you don't really need it, I said, why does it tell me I need the update. He said ,is your computer ok?, I said, it has some performance issues, and it turns stuff on and off by itself.I have talked to at least 5 different people ,they all make me go thru the same steps. I keep telling them, this won't work, I have tried it ten times. They are starting to get rude. I googled bios updates and Samsung, and a lot of posts came up. Can someone help me and also to understand what bios is, it says it helps with computer stability.
