Is there a good hardware testing program to test if im having hardware issues or windows issues how about reverse a good windows program to test?
I mean is only way to reformat and reinstall windows to tell if its a windows issue? Not big deal but does take all day plus I don't want kill the stupid mother board by over working it if its a mother board issue.

I am curious, Mac's have a feature I saw someone at work use where you can capture a screen shot by dragging out a square (I think they used Cmd+Shift+4 or something) and saving the image inside the square as a capture - Does Windows 7 have anything like that? Or is there an app I can download to allow me to do that?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo after testing a few useless screen capture softwares I downloaded microsoft expression encoder 4 screen capture. The problem is that it puts out massive screen capture video files. On a 15-20 sec screen capture it produces a 17.4MB file. And here is the confusing part when I choose a lower birate but same frame rate the video is choppy and unwatchable but I have to select 30000kbps opposed to like 500kbps for it to produce a smooth video. Does tweaking the frame rate/quality rate and also bitrate produce smaller file sizes or am do I have to find another screen capture software that captures a decent video quality with audio and average file size?

I use lib vlc for video capture, or "print screen" button for image capture. When I try to capture a fullscreen opengl application, or a QML application, or WPF application, the captured image is black. It seems that graphic card content can't be acquired. It is the same for each computer which is under windows 7. This manipulation worked on windows XP.
Question:
What are the changes on screen capturing between windows XP and windows 7?
Is there any option to activate in system?
Is there any software which could work (with an API)?
My Pc is working 100%, except for this annoying problem.when i hit print screen, go to paint and save it as png it shows 100% crisp and high resolution 1900*1200 If i edit the pic saved on my desktop in paint or photoshop it show perfect. but if i open it with windows 7 photo viewer or live gallery the dpi is very poor and the lettters are obscure.i right clicked the file and went to file details , i picked up paint does not store the dpi of the print screen on the file.all the other normal photos and images display perfect in photo viewer except the screen captures

Running Windows 7 64
my laptop will not load up. I can get it to the screen where it says repair computer, safe mode and all that. (advance boot options) but anytime I click any off them it goes to a screen where it says I need to put in the windows installer disk. I do not have any disk but I downloaded the repair disc from my other laptop. I put the disk in the computer and restart it and it just goes back to same screen. It does not automatic rebot, or ask me to rebot from disk.

Now I can't find it; it was something that didn't require installation, because it doesn't appear in the start menu. Just needed to point to the jpg I wanted and it changed it for me. im using microsoft visual c# program under windows 7.
my generated application use in cmd screen but this programs just open and close fastly. i dont freeze commnet line end of my programs. that reason i didn't see my programs results.
how can i freeze cmd screen end of the program finish?
When I open my Windsor program I can see it is open but it won't show anywhere. I have an extended screen and I can see when the program opens that the screen flashes and it looks like the program is hidden. I have tried all the options I know of including re-installing software.
Some more details. The program I run had four charts open and when I last closed the program I had one of the charts expanded.
I use on screen keyboard a bit and have the problem that when I have multiple programs running when I click on the task bar to bring up keyboard (already running) it brings up the last program I was using before the one I am currently on. E.g. may be using windows live mail and then click over to IE and then click on task-bar to bring up on screen keyboard and it will come up ok but also re-maximize or bring to top windows live mail.
