Aug 21, 2009realtek has just released new drivers for their ethernet products.
i had the ugly "ethernet-connection-drop" -problem all the time with my Windows 7-builds, even with the rtm.
now i installed the new driver today and until now all runs fine without errors.
i didnt even touch the default configuration of the ethernet card!
i am very happy with that, because the random drop of the ethernet connection is a great showstopper for my work with my machine!
Gigabit Ethernet Card Not Faster Than Built-in
Feb 17, 2011I have a pentium 4 pc that had built in ethernet on the mobo, i replaced it with a gigabit ethernet.I did a speed test at speak easy with the built in and got 60ish mb. I disabled that device and used the gigabit and i got 38mb with or without jumbo frames 7k.I performed the test 4 times with similar results. I have updated both cards with the latest drivers via win update.

May 12, 2009I'm out of ideas. Tried several different drivers, and settings. Using a fresh install of Windows 7 RC. The drivers all seem to "work", by which I mean Windows 7 has no problem with them, but no driver I've tried will let the card actually talk with anything. It keeps trying to find a DHCP address and always comes up with a 169 address. Even when I specify a static IP it still won't see anything on the network.
DHCP is working for my on board NIC, and this card works in my XP installation on this same PC.
The driver that seems to "work" the best so far is this: Download HP Intel PRO/1000 Gigabit Driver 13.5.00 Rev.C for Vista64 Driver for Windows Vista64 - Softpedia
With that driver I actually get all of the nifty features in the driver properties page, and I've run all of it's diagnostic tests which all come up green.
Also worth nothing: I had this same problem with Windows 7 Beta.
Marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet Freezeing Every 15 Mins
Jul 30, 2009Earlier many reported this problem with win 7 x64 build 7100, now I did a clean install of build 7600 x64 & the problem is now more frequently happening every 15 mins it freezes the comp.
Uploading stops
downloading sometime stops
sound/video freezes
applications stop responding
nothing can be done to the system at that time.
I am using asus P5B dlx wifi mobo with Marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet lan drivers latest v 11.10.6.3 dated 6/15/09.
Is there any solution to this I am pulling my hair due to this issue & cant use the comp.

Nov 16, 2009Am running Windows 7 Pro on a Gigabyte GA-EG45M-UD2H motherboard with integrated Realtek RTL8111DL gigabit ethernet adapter.
Occasionally after walking from sleep I will not that the netork icon in the tray has a red cross through it with no internet access. Going into display manager shows no Network Adapter as if it just disappeared.
Rebooting restores the missing adapter and internet access.
Just wondering if there is a fix for this behavior? Note that it doesn't always do this after waking from sleep - only occasionally.

Aug 4, 2010I did a fresh Windows 7 64 bit installation and everything was going fine (besides the BSOD problems about the graphics card which I fixed by renaming nvlddmkm.sys which was the cause of the BSOD) until I tried installing the Ethernet drivers.
Specs:
Gigabyte GA-MA69G-S3H Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 6000+ CPU
4GB 800 DDR2 Memory
585 Watt Power supply
XFX 8800 GTS GPU
2 Seagate Hard drives : 250 GB & 160GB
Windows doesn't even detect the adapter even though its onboard. I've tried installing the drivers from the original dvd (and in compatible and as administrator) with no luck. I also tried downloading the latest lan drivers from [URL] but it still didn't work. I got a deep sleep error or something. (Which I couldn't resolve cause there's nothing in network connections, not even the 1394 connection which is also turned on in the bios)
No it does not show in device manager under Network adapters. Actually there isn't even a network adapter subcategory unless I click show hidden devices(which has multiple devices then but no network controller). The only driver with a question mark is the graphics card driver which I will try to install after I get the Ethernet adapter working. Microsoft did say its 64 bit compatible [URL] so I don't know what to do. I did check the settings in the bios to see if everything with network was enabled and whatnot.. I also tried resetting everything in the bios to default settings with no luck.
Out of desperation tried adding the device manually through device manager (action>add Legacy hardware>manually>network adapters>have disk..) I tried this with the latest drivers I got from gigabytes website but it didn't even show a device, so I tried the original drivers from the mobo dvd which gave 3 devices.. I tried them all.. each time reinstalling the latest drivers and whatnot to no avail. I'm Thinking of trying to use the windows 64 bit repair disk seeing as it might be software related seeing as it doesn't even show the firewire adapter.
AMD-8111 AC'97 Audio Controller Driver
Jan 10, 2009I just updated from Vista Ultimate 64 to Windows 7, Surprise it went very well except so far for sound. It did tell me that it would be a problem. So far WinTV 1600 is only program not working but I just started. Office 2007 took the upgrade. I was not able to get a performance rating, computer locked up I had to hard reset. All my files are intact, This is from Windows 7 to the Windows 7 forums pretty cool.

All is fine, but my ASUS's Drivers Disk didn't autorun, neither it got installed, but still all basic drivers are here so i suppose i won't need that.
But now i m not able to listen to music from my Headphones.

I think I have found a solution to this.
I recently had problems my self.
First you have to install this, from Intel: Intel® Desktop Board D910GLDW Audio: Realtek* ALCxxx Driver
Second, install the latest drivers from Realtek, R2.22. I uploaded the zip file to filefront, as their ftp server is running by mouse power. Vista_R222.zip Download File
I hope it will work. for you. I had a lot of trouble finding the solution. Everything has to do with Intel's high definition codec that for some reason Realtek choose not to include in their driver packages.

Have Realtek Drivers But No Manager
Nov 14, 2012I bought a 27" monitor, keyboard and Logitech 5.1 Surround Sound System for my laptop; the only thing I can't get to work are my 5.1 Surround sound speakers.5.1 requires 3 audio ports (as you probably know) but only two of mine work; consequently only either the rear speakers, front speakers or middle speaker can work at the same time. (It only likes to use one port at a time due to the current issue, it's either 2.1 or 5.1, not halfway) My third audio port is a mic port, but I've heard that using Realtek HD Audio Manager you can retask this port to act as an audio output port.However after formatting my laptop months ago I have the Realtek drivers but not the manager, I can't find any downloads for the manager on the internet, they all appear to be driver only.IMPORTANT: my soundcard is meant to support 5.1; when I go into device manger and sound properties it says so. I have a two years old Dell Studio 1745. When I go into control panel, "uninstall programmes" I can see "RealTek HD Audio Driver" which I downloaded from the realtek site, but it clearly said "Driver Only".

It looks like it's copied a lot of files to C:Program Files (x86)Realtek, but after I restart there are only four files copied there and the drivers haven't been successfully installed.
These are the only drivers I've had trouble with, and I was wondering if someone could give me directions on exactly how to install the drivers. No one else seems to have had trouble installing them, so I must be doing something wrong.
