View 2 Replies View RelatedYesterday when I install Windows 7 on my friend PC I realized it has Realtek audio chipset, and though the drivers for this audio chipset were installed, still the Windows has no audio. The issue was caused because the built-in Realtek audio drivers in Windows 7 were not compatible with the audio chipset of the computer which was causing problem. The problem was that windows has older version of realtek drivers installed. After googling I found the latest version of realtek drivers.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install Realtek HD Sound drivers; I have been unable to find any drivers that are written for Windows 7. So I have been downloading the Vista ones without success. I have tried loading them in compatibility mode and under windows vista and xp but each time it just says error during installation or OS not supported.
Does anybody know where I can find Realtek sound drivers for windows 7?
realtek has just released new drivers for their ethernet products.
i had the ugly "ethernet-connection-drop" -problem all the time with my Windows 7-builds, even with the rtm.
now i installed the new driver today and until now all runs fine without errors.
i didnt even touch the default configuration of the ethernet card!
i am very happy with that, because the random drop of the ethernet connection is a great showstopper for my work with my machine!
I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate Beta x64
All is fine, but my ASUS's Drivers Disk didn't autorun, neither it got installed, but still all basic drivers are here so i suppose i won't need that.
But now i m not able to listen to music from my Headphones.
So do i need the Realtek Drivers?
I tried installing Realtek Drivers for Vista x64, but those aren't supported.
installed 7 on desktop with no problems (64 build 7100) x-fi audio, no probs at all then i installed 7 on laptop with realtek hd codec drivers and the sound is all cracklely(driver from realtek(eventually!!)226 revision) any ideas????

I think I have found a solution to this.
I recently had problems my self.
First you have to install this, from Intel: Intel® Desktop Board D910GLDW Audio: Realtek* ALCxxx Driver
Second, install the latest drivers from Realtek, R2.22. I uploaded the zip file to filefront, as their ftp server is running by mouse power. Vista_R222.zip Download File
I hope it will work. for you. I had a lot of trouble finding the solution. Everything has to do with Intel's high definition codec that for some reason Realtek choose not to include in their driver packages.
I have an HP pavilion zv5000 laptop with the speakers on the front and the audio control buttons on the front and i have tried all the fixes i could find on other threads including: replacing the drivers from realteks website and making sure that the audio device is set to default. My?
is does anyone have any idea if there is another fix for this. I'm using the latest driver from realtek althouh i let windows try and fix it and it reverted back to the previous version. if anyone knows of a driver package that works for sure that would be great.
I bought a 27" monitor, keyboard and Logitech 5.1 Surround Sound System for my laptop; the only thing I can't get to work are my 5.1 Surround sound speakers.5.1 requires 3 audio ports (as you probably know) but only two of mine work; consequently only either the rear speakers, front speakers or middle speaker can work at the same time. (It only likes to use one port at a time due to the current issue, it's either 2.1 or 5.1, not halfway) My third audio port is a mic port, but I've heard that using Realtek HD Audio Manager you can retask this port to act as an audio output port. However after formatting my laptop months ago I have the Realtek drivers but not the manager, I can't find any downloads for the manager on the internet, they all appear to be driver only.IMPORTANT: my soundcard is meant to support 5.1; when I go into device manger and sound properties it says so. I have a two years old Dell Studio 1745. When I go into control panel, "uninstall programmes" I can see "RealTek HD Audio Driver" which I downloaded from the realtek site, but it clearly said "Driver Only".

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to install newest Realtek HD Audio drivers, but they just won't. It seems as if Windows drivers overrides them after every reboot.
I've tried:
- Disabling driver auto update/install
- Disabling auto download
- Disabling/uninstalling Windows drivers
- ...and everything else.
Somehow Windows drivers are always there after reboot, no matter what I do.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've spent a couple days trying to install the Realtek audio drivers onto my machine, but I can't get the installer to work properly. It looks like it's copied a lot of files to C:Program Files (x86)Realtek, but after I restart there are only four files copied there and the drivers haven't been successfully installed.
These are the only drivers I've had trouble with, and I was wondering if someone could give me directions on exactly how to install the drivers. No one else seems to have had trouble installing them, so I must be doing something wrong.
Just in case some of you havn't tried them yet.
View 9 Replies View Relatedmy using windows 7 ultimate RTM build 7600. by running a windows update i am able to download my intel GMA driver but yet i dont get my realtek high definition audio drivers.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo i installed windows 7 late last night (from xp Pro) and everything seemed to work fine but these audio drivers (seems to be a common enough issue as far as i can tell)
I've downloaded or installed 3 versions of the drivers. The ones that came with the MotherBoard(Abit IL9 Pro) disc, but it gives me an "error -001"
Second I located these "Windows 7 and vista drivers" from their site showing versions 6505 and 6503 - Both of these gets stuck on a screen that says "These drivers cannot be installed because they are no digitally signed" And it just loops when i try clicking on "install anyway."
Last i tried running them from the run menu with string attached to the end (silent install i think it was called) same digitally signed message again.
Any ideas?
I just downloaded a driver package from Realtek, these are for WIN 7 and they seem to have added some speed.
I will add them here but if that is not allowed, I understand that they will be removed. I have checked them for Viruses too.
My Realtek sound drivers keep on uninstalling themselves. I will install the drivers and I will then reboot as I says too, I reboot and they are there, if I boot the computer down and boot it back up the same day they are fine, no problems. But the next day when I go to boot up the pc I have no sound what so ever, I noticed that I have a HDMI Audio Driver, I disabled this and the problem went away for a few days.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was a succesful tester of Windows 7 RC, where the realtek audio drivers worked flawlessly. Recently i purchased and installed windows RTM Home Premium.
If you have the following symptoms when reinstalling windows 7 RTM with the realtek audio:
- No Realtek icon in the taskbar
- Cannot active the realtek driver window from control panel.
- The windows audio playing devices do not show up when requested...
well:
For some reason, the realtek driver or Windows 7 RTM are not compatible anymore with RTM got released.
The problem is not with the driver, however, but with User Accounts Management security settings.
Install the latest driver from Realtek, which you find on the www.realtek.com. The version of the driver currently is 235.
Then, disable UAC through Control Panel -> System -> Change User Account Management, and reboot.
You'll notice now that the Realtek driver taskbar icon (the brown luidspeaker) shows up in your taskbar. Good news.
Click on the taskbar icon, and the RT driver windows shows up. In this window, you can change the driver operating from Stereo to 5.1.
Clearly, some things are wrong with audio in RTM. Because you cannot open the audio play devices dialog through the windows luidspeaker icon and right clicking the option from the menu.
So, maybe this is a preliminary work around.
i installed windows 7 and after that everything works fine except that there is no sound. the device manager says that the HD audio is working fine. the driver is the updated version.
I don't know what to do. both the internal speakers and the headphones are not working. but the symbol for audio says it is working just fine.
what could be the problem?
According to my friend these driver wont work on windows 7, which they haven't.
So my question to you is where can i download the drivers for the audio device in my mobo
Realtek RTL8168D/8111D
The main reason for wanting this is i can stereo mix.
One more thing to mention is that i did try the sound drivers off of EVGA's website. they aren't the realtek ones from the disk. My disk is broken and the drivers on the disk from what i know wouldn't work anyways. I was told by a friend to download them from somewhere else.
Mobo:
EVGA X58 classified
Thank you to anyone who can help me out. usually it's not that hard to find drivers but the realtek website is hard to navigate AND for some reason i can only download 4 kb/s and the download times out.
need sound drivers for realtek ALC888
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, I've had my computer for a few years. But I didn't have the Realtek drivers installed for my onboard soundcard (I'm unsure if they were never there or they'd disappeared) and therefore none of the Realtek software installed, and I needed them, so I found, downloaded, and installed the right one for my Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 motherboard. (I installed from The installation went through fine. Now, no sound is coming out, at least out of any of the three rear 3.5mm jacks for 5.1-surround-sound. Interestingly, the microphone input still works, though.I tested a USB headset I have and it works fine (Realtek doesn't recognize the input or output of the USB headset), and I tested two different 3.5mm headsets and neither of them work (but the 3.5 microphone jack did work and *was* recognized by Realtek). When I go to the "Windows Playback Devices" manager it shows my computer playing sound on the correct device but no sound is actually going through the jacks. I've gone to the device manager and tried disabling the only other sound *device* showing up, which was "ATI HDMI Audio". I've tried restarting multiple times, replugging the jacks, trying both setero and 5.1 configs, playing with a few enhancements and settings like the bitrate and exclusivity options.[CODE]
View 2 Replies View Relatedcan I switch from my Realtek internal speakers to digital output without manually changing it in the Audio Control manager?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was originally having problems with Realtek HD Audio Manager properly operating my front panel audio jacks, so I attempted to update my audio drivers using the ones found on Realtek's website (2.70). After restarting, my computer has failed to load and locate the new drivers and in the task bar, the usual volume icon has a red and white X; mouse-overing brings up the message "No speakers or headphones are plugged in" (despite my speakers being plugged into the proper lime analog jack on my motherboard). Opening the Sound window from my control panel shows that there is only one option under playback devices: AMD HDMI Output, which it shows as not plugged in.
There is no analog speaker present, even with both "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices" checked by right clicking on the window. Within my device manager, under the 'Sound, video and game controllers' heading, there is only the AMD High Definition Audio Device. Under the 'System devices' heading, the only relevant devices are two High Definition Audio Controllers, one of which has a yellow caution symbol. Within the properties, under 'Device status', it displays "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". Both it and the working High Definition Audio Control point to the same driver, hdaudbus.sys.
In summary:
- No sound out of speakers.
- Sound icon in desktop taskbar says "No speakers or headphones plugged in" despite plugged in speakers
- Realtek HD Audio Manager does not open on system startup
- No analog sound present in Control Panel > Sound > Playback
- Two High Definition Audio Controller devices present in device manager, one with an error symbol, both pointing to the same windows (not realtek) HD driver
- No analog sound devices present in device manager
- Possibly incomplete install of Realtek Drivers upon reinstall attempt - installed files do not load when opened.
- No Rtlcpl.exe program present.
Steps already taken:
- Installed most recent version of Realtek HD Audio Codec (2.70) from realtek's website
- Redownload and reinstall of same drivers
- Download of Realtek HD Audio Codec (2.65 I believe, I'd have to uninstall to see)
- Redownload and reinstall of same drivers
- Extraction of files from .zip version of 2.70 drivers, unable to point to these drivers.
- Cleaning of registry (working on hunch that uninstalls of realtek drivers have lead to registry items being left that are preventing proper reinstall)
- System restore to week before the problem (loads original drivers, problem is still present)
- Removal of RTKVHD64.sys from c:WindowsSystem32drivers (was present after uninstall. I believe it was a remnant from the old system restored drivers, which couldn't be uninstalled due to missing registry files. File still remains outside of drivers folder as a backup)
- Ensuring integrated audio is inabled within the BIOS
- Update of BIOS
- Update of motherboard chipset.
Relevant System Specs:
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional (64 Bit)
Motherboard: Intel DP55WG
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
Hunches I have:
Something to do with hdaudbus.sys - old related problems dealing with the AC'97 realtek drivers with respect to Win XP mention windows' UAA Bus Driver, which is what this is. Something in my registry is preventing me from installing Realtek properly. Maybe I need to give the full .zip a try again? Maybe I need to repeat these steps in safemode? I've been trying everything through normal installs and restarts. Try to find original driver disk from motherboard. (Having no luck with this). Last resort is reformat of C: drive.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI Built my computer recently on christmas day.
