View 2 RepliesI have my USB plugged in, it's bootable, and it has Windows 8 installed on it. When I restart my PC, my BIOS has USB set to first boot. It just keeps beeping and beeping until I remove the drive and reboot.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently got a new computer. a windows 7 x64 bit When i plug in any headphones (they all work perfectly), windows does not detect them as headphone but as speakers. i can still hear everything fine but the audio is just not right, even my ipod, using the same headphones has more bass and clearer sound. i have tried different steps already but none seem to work.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I was trying to uninstall this one driver (it caused IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL problems)
and I eventually did through safe mode but I noticed that my dvd's/cds weren't getting readand it wouldn't show up under my computer. It shows up as a BD-ROMand it was cause of Daemon Toolswhich was a known problemso I was trying to fix that too. Then all of a sudden my computer stalls at the BIOS screenand then I unplugged my D drive from one of the SATA ports
and currently that's like the only to start the computer now.I uninstalled Daemon's Toolsbut I still can't get my DVD drive to work.I changed SATA ports and it bootedbut then it tried to install CD drive drivers and then it failed. My computer is an Alienware M11x R1 (yes yes, gripe all you want, I like them!) running Windows 7 Premium 64 bit. Okay so since the day I got my M11x it has been freezing randomly. No one could find the source of this problem, though I seem to have located it recently...
Whenever I have an external HDD plugged in my system will completely lock up randomly. Can't move the mouse or do anything, the last sound that was playing hangs (Ie. if a song was playing the song would go kind of "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-" continuously), and I have to shut it off by holding the power button. It can go for a week without locking up or it can lock up two times in a single day. It also does this with some random programs that it just doesn't seem to like very much.
I just went out and bought a new HDD to see if it was a compatibility problem (the old external I was using was fairly old) and it just froze up again while using the new one...
I recently purchased the Phillips Universal USB from Amazon for my mp3 player; my previous one broke and now I have no way of hooking it up to my computer and putting new music on my mp3. The problem is when I plug in the usb the computer does NOTHING, nothing pops up. Nada. When I plug in other usbs they seem to work fine so I'm not sure what the problem is. What can I do to fix this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought a bluetooth dongle [URL] to connect my phone to my computer. While the bluetooth dongle is plugged into the computer (windows 7), the computer will not go to sleep. It won't even go to sleep if I manually put it to sleep. I didn't see any settings in device manager to fix the issue.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a new MP4 from ebay, and it came with a usb cable, however when I plug the usb cable in to my computer, it will not find the device. It will only charge.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAnything that I plug into the usb ports isn't recognized on my computer. When I plug something in, my computer doesn't make the usual "bloomp" sound and nothing pops up. When I search for my usb in my computer, it's not there. My computer acts like I didn't plug anything in.
View 4 Replies View RelatedUnless I have speakers or headphones plugged in, my computer gives me the red "X" over my sound icon in my system tray, and anything that involves sound won't work. This is annoying because I don't always want to listen to sound at work, but I still need to be able to play things that have sound while I listen to music from another source.I guess I could just find a wire to plug into the headphone jack (yup, that works) but that seems silly.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been getting really annoying sounds while playing CS:S that freezes the screen for half a second.. It sounds like the device plugged in / device removed sound.. and it happens randomly. It even happens when I'm not playing any games. I don't have any USB devices that are plugged in except for my USB mouse.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried searching for the solution to this problem but even after installing the realtek drivers, i still get that issue of no speakers or headphones.Below is information about the onboad sound.

I had not used my desktop for one week due to some problem of too much dust accumlating in the machine. Due to this the system would not power up. After the dust was removed, system powers up but i now get this problem with sound. Before this everything was fine. The speakers work fine on the laptop.I installed the drivers from the motherboard driver disc. I am using a gigabyte board (GA-G31M-ES2L).I have installed the drivers directly from the gigabyte website for my motherboard as well as from the realtek website. Also updated bios online from gigabyte server. But none of these methods causes sound to be restored.Theres no exclamation mark by the audio drivers in Device Manager. I have removed the audio drivers and after a restart, i still get the "no speakers or headphones are plugged in" error on the speaker icon.In device manager after restarting the system, i get the "high definition audio" device listed under "Sound, video and game controllers".Now i am wondering there is something wrong with the motherboard.
including mouse, adapter, pendrive..

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I plugged in to the charger or plugged out my laptop, It's display goes off and on again. I'm using a dell N5110 laptop and I formatted it 4days ago, and before the format this didn't happen. I'm using windows 7 ultimate.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery 10 seconds or so, Windows will think my charger is unplugged. Then, it will proceed to switch back and fourth between plugged in and not, forcing my laptop to switch between power modes. (I'm guessing this is stress on the CPU and I do not want it to have to do that all the time)It's getting annoying having to deal with my laptop getting hot and such because of the switching power modes.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've spent days researching this problem and have found no solutions. I plug the Microsoft wireless mobile mouse 3500 transceiver into my USB 2.0 port and the cursor movements are so erratic that the mouse is useless. I try to use a Microsoft wired mouse connected to the USB 2.0 port and it does not work at all. However, both the wireless mobile mouse and wired mouse work perfectly when plugged into one of the two USB 3.0 ports.
This problem occurs on my Dell XPS 17 L702X laptop, which is less than three weeks old. The laptop is running Win 7 Ultimate x64. I have installed the latest drivers from Microsoft's website. I have uninstalled them and reinstalled them but the problem remains. I have exchanged the Microsoft wireless mobile mouse 3500 for a new one but the identical problem remains.
I do not have this problem on my Dell Studio XPS 7100, which is also running Win 7 Ultimate x64. The same mice that fail to work properly on the laptop's USB 2.0 port work perfectly with the USB 2.0 ports on the desktop. Everything in Device Manager (laptop) is up to snuff and no problems are indicated.
