I have reformatted the laptop for which i thought it was some kind of virus, then after a few windows update the problem still remain. Am i the only one having this problem?

The problem that came up though, is after installing Windows 7 home premium 64bit OEM to my HDD (it went through the whole copying files,expanding files, ect.). Nov 9, 2011I can't find this as I dunno how to explain it for googling. unless I get irrelevant answers! When I clear my browser (IE9) cache, cookies etc, whether via ccleaner or the delete browsing history general tab, I get an annoying voice telling me "how to clear cache, then cookies etc" whenever I open a new window or most new tabs for a sometime afterwards, eventually it stops occuring, obviously fed up with me hitting the mute button, I've checked the audio settings in the ease of access center in control panel, all off & ok, the voice is different anyway.

Way Of Clearing Error / Wiping Memory Off Hardrive And Loading Windows Again Onto PC?
Apr 9, 2011I have built a new PC, I had it working at the start. for couple of days. i started then to update and install drivers off the chipset support disc. I have a ASUS P5G4IT-M, the installion of these drivers seemed to go alrite. Then when I downloaded the updates through windows and tried to restart the PC it wouldn't restart. i tried repairing the error. The first time it said windows had repaired the errors but it still didn't work. so i tried it again, it keeping saying that I recently attached a device to the computer, such as a camera or portable music device. which i didn't. then i says remove and restart. When i restart after the windows repair it goes down the list of files loading in safe mode and it stops when loading some of the drivers. Is there some way of clearing this error or wiping the memory off my hardrive and loading windows again onto the PC??

Stop Auto-hide Taskbar From Being Auto-ticked?
May 20, 2012I bought a Asus U36J laptop back in April of last year and ever since then I have been beating around an issue that I dont seem to be able to resolve one way or the other. When ever the laptop is on battery and in battery saving mode it has my taskbar on autohide. If I turn that off, then it stays off right until it is put back into battery saving mode at which point it is "magically" ticked on again.
Is there no way to simply disable that feature, as its annoying me greatly. I know its tied into the battery saving desktop, and I want to keep the battery saving desktop but want a full taskbar all the time. I found a supposed fix to make that happen, and while it actually makes the taskbar appear all the time, it still is a bad hack as any windows I have open wont "attach" to the taskbar but attaches to the buttom of the screen.
So for the love of god is there no sane way for me to keep the battery saving desktop but get rid of the autohiding taskbar. Otherwise I know Asus most likely wont be my laptop of choice next time aroumd.

Can't Disable Touch Pad
Mar 16, 2011I have a Dell laptop model 1720. I have tried every suggestion made by numerous posts to google but I'm unable to disable my touch pad. Nothing seems to work. Dell had told me the only way to do this would be to return to factory settings. I originally purchased my computer with Vista and recently upgraded to Windows 7. With Vista, disabling the touchpad only required entering a check in a box. Now that I have Windows 7 the options are different. 'Touch Pad Pal' doesn't work at all.

May 21, 2009I thought I would give windows 7 a go about a week ago on my Home system and loved it so much I've decided to install on my "carpc" that's fitted in my Toyota Hilux
The install seemed to go well just like it did on my Home system, with even the touch screen being found, only problem I could not get it to Calibrate very precise.
One thing I noticed right away was Windows 7 seems to have a built in Touch Screen interface that only shows the options to when it knows a Touch screen is present, for example you can scroll about in word docs, or internet explorer just by placing your finger anywhere on the screen rather than the little bar on the right you normally have to use which can be hard on a 7" touch screen.
There is a better on screen keyboard that pops out when needed if using the touch screen, also the cursor changes to a small dot rather than a mouse cursor, but changes back as soon as you move the mouse. I'm sure there are other features I not had chance to find yet.
My only problem now is due to me not being able to calibrate the screen as good as normal I decided to install the Software/drivers from the screen manufacture, I used the Vista version which worked well, and now the screen is calibrated perfectly.
The problem is now windows 7 has taken away all the touch screen options in the control panel, plus all the above features I said no longer happen
Any idea how I can get them back while still maintaining my manufactures driver/software?
Can't Record Sound Any More
Sep 19, 2010I have Windows 7 and have successfully recorded sound clips using the Accessories Sound Recorder. Next time I recorded a sound I carelessly plugged the mic into the earphone socket. Naturally I was unable to play back a previously recorded sound so I fiddled with the settings (I'm descended from a long line of idiots). Then the penny dropped and I plugged the mic into the correct socket, now because of my fiddling I can't record clips that will play back. I can play back my earlier clips.
