I want to be able to clear some of the tag suggestions from the automatic explorer list.Eg:When tagging photos and you mistype a tag (e.g., you meant to type "Mom", but instead you typed "Nom" or something like that). Even if you delete the tag on the file, the tag still shows up in this suggested list of tags in the Info Pane's tag edit box. So, whenever you go to tag a photo the auto-suggest list shows "Nom" with the other recently used tags.I found this for vista but the label assignment file isnt under photogallery How to clear tag suggestions - Windows Live Photo & Video Blog - Site Home - MSDN Blogs
Okay, so I love Arma 2 and I really want to play DayZ, but my graphics card sucks, and with upgrading my computer being not one of the options that I have,I'm sorry that it is so long, I'm new here, I don't know what is and what isn't important. Here are my computers specs:
I just purchased a new Acer 4830TG (i5 2.5 GHz) and immediately replaced the HD with a SanDisk Extreme (550 MB/s read, 510 MB/s write).I have certain programs in the Startup folder- Excel workspace (6 spreadsheets) for my business, Word, Firefox (with approx 35 tabs) and Thunderbird. I like to hit the power button, enter my password, then go make my coffee and come back to find everything loaded and my morning emails all downloaded (4 different accounts).Except now Firefox and Thunderbird are loading so fast the wireless network has not finished connecting before they start sending requests, and of course I am getting network connection errors.I can't believe I am actually having to ask this, but does anyone have any suggestions for freebie programs that can delay the loading of programs in the startup folder? Or tell me how to write a batch file of some kind that call these programs with a delay scripted in?
I previously shared my iTunes library from my desktop computer which was running Xp x64 Professional, and accessed the library through a M: drive that I could access on my laptop and other computers in the house. I set up the M drive following these instructions found here from LifeHacker and here from Microsoft previously.
I decided to try the same with 7 and everything goes according to plan until I get to the part where I go to add the new "M" drive and I can not click to "Assign the following drive letter" followed by letters that I can assign this new drive. I can only select "Mount in the following empty NTFS folder." Is anyone familliar with this issue and tell me what I am doing wrong?
I installed Windows 7 to test it on my PC (I still use XP for most purposes). Now I want to reinstall it because I want to try a different version. Unfortunately, I would have to re-assign all drives again and I have a lot of them. Is there any way to save the current assignment and restore it when I have reinstalled Windows?
I have the operating system win 7 professional 64 bit but it quit assigning drive letters. I can see the drives (usb flash memory or usb hard drives) in the disk managment and assign a drive letter successfully. I cannot figure out what changed and now my laptop will not assign any drive letters to my external drives automatically.
My front speaker pin (the green one) is ruined. When I plug my headphones into any other pin, the sound will not work. I know it's possible to change pin assignments with realtek, I used to do it through their software. IDT however allows no such thing through their control panel. Is there any other way to change it? I'm using an integrated sound processor Intel Dp35dp and Windows 7 x32bit

When using Word to print return mailing labels on Avery 8167 sheets, the font cannot be reduced to fit the label.
On laptop computers the Windows certificate of authenticity is printed on a piece of paper which is attached to the bottom of the device. Unfortunately, the license key gets damaged and you cannot read it.Is there some way to overcome this problem? Is there some kind of laminate plastic that can be used to cover the paper
I purchased a LITEON DVD 8X Burner , with lightScribe technology but it did not come with any instructions on how to actually make a label using the DVD burner
I'm running Win7 Home Premium (64-bit)I recently installed Audio Label software, a CD/DVD label maker, jewel case inserts etc It installed without any problem but whenever I start up Audio Label, I get a small window popping up showing: 'Error 557' with an OK button. When I click on OK, the window disappears, Audio Label opens and can be used fully. However, I'm finding it niggling to have that Error 557 everytime and I believe it's because of a missing 'dll' file, but which exactly? Why on earth give such info if you don't show a person how to 'fix' it or at least direct him in some way. OK is NOT OK!
I had a successful raid 5 array setup. It was assigned to g and while I was installing ps3 media server and then java it lost it's drive assignment. It shows up under disk management but asks me to initialize it. I really don't want to do that because it will format and i will lose the data on the volume. What else can i do to get my array to show up in windows with my data intact?
I have been trying to format a partition I created on my harddrive for my laptop. I booted from a disk into a program called GParted (live CD version). I used this to format the partition I created. Then, once I had finished attempting this task, my lack of expertise in computing took it's toll. I chose the option to create a disk label on the partition. I mistook this operation for something innocuous. It gave me a warning of some sort, which I ignored since I didn't think would be a problem since the recently formatted partition would be empty. This operation took a few seconds (30 or so) and once completed the drive map above said 685 GB unallocated space (or the size of my entire hard drive). I was very scared at this point so I restarted my comp and booted to hard drive and all I get is a blank screen and a mockingly blinking cursor. Now I am trying to see what my factory recovery disk can do for me. Using the windows recovery console I have attempted to repair this. Looking at the details, it runs a few tests. then sees that there is no valid partition, and tries to repair the partition. I restart and nothing has changed. Reattempting the repair just does the same thing and doesn't have any visible affect. Although it looked bad at this point there is some good news. In the recovery console I have attempted to load drivers from the other recovery disk. When the window opens to browse the disk I am able to navigate to the other drives (that I thought were gone) and it seems that all my system and personal files are still intact. I rebooted into GParted and it seems that the original hard drive is visible again and intact. However, I still can't boot!
I do have one option that is unnattractive to me. I have considered reinstalling windows to the partition I created, then once in the OS I could backup all my files to an external device, then redo everything from scratch. However, I am concerned that in the process of installing Windows 7 that I might everything for real. Maybe someone could affirm or repair my paranoia about this? However, I don't want to do this because I have been setting up this laptop for the last 2 weeks and I really don't want to spend the next 2 weeks doing it all over again (although it wouldn't be so bad if i could recover all my downloads and personal files).
I am trying to print a disc label on a dvd ,my printer is a Epson stylus photo Px650 .I have the software for the job but when I drag the into the software it says "this is not a epson cd print file.but I have printed dvd labels before with no problems but I can't remember if it was with XP but I am using windows 7 now .The I want to print is a jpeg is there a way to change it to an epson print file? and if so ,how do I do it?
Where do I find the label type or size that Access is currently using? I was given an Access database for a club's membership in order to print out membership cards. But the cards print just a little larger than I want. How do I change the label/card type? Everything I read uses the Label Wizard which takes me through all the steps to set up a label. However I don't want to have to go through selecting fonts, colors, etc as all this data is already correct. I just want to find a screen that shows the existing Avery label number so I can just change or customize that.Put another way, if I did not have any labels, where would I find the Avery label number that the database already uses so that I could order the correct type?
I guess that almost says it all, except when I attempted to clarify this in an edit, I suspect what I am trying to do is a document merge with fields I would need to create on the document that has the labels, one file has all the data and the other has a layout of six labels.I have a custom label sheet (8.5" x 11" paper, 2 rows, 3 columns with margins) that I wish to use in a merge for name tags. The sheet is NOT printed, so I am not feeding it through a printer for the merge, I wish to do the merge on the computer and send the completed label merge file to a printer at a later date. Part of the reason for this is that I do not have a color printer here and the label picture itself uses color.Where it gets a little more complicated is that though each of the six labels per page is the same, it is a picture (when I double click any one of them the "Picture" ribbon comes up).
How can I recover the Windows 7 key if the hard disk has broken (I have changed it) AND I cannot see the Windows key label on the back of the laptop because it isn't there (there's a linux label instead)?, of course my doubt is whether Windows or Linux was the original OS. If Windows 7 was the original OS and is thus an OEM version, can I contact Microsoft and ask them and give them the serial number or product number of the netbook?
I want to clear everything I have on my hard drive because it is getting pretty cluttered. Can someone tell me how I can clear my data but still keep my OS?Pretty much I just want all my data and programs to be deleted (ill install them later), but still keep the OS.
My sister sent our PC to her friend to have Windows 7 put on it and now the C: drive is almost maxed out. I don't know if it was that way before it was sent out or not, but it's definitely closer to the max than i would like it to be. I was able to clear about 30gb of space so now there's about 45gb worth of free space out of 143gb total. I have absolutely NO clue what is taking up so much space. Any help to get that number down would be great. We don't have an exorbitant amount of movies, pictures or music files on the computer either. So i'm really lost as to where it could be coming from.
it says that in order to clear events, go to the Action menu and click 'Clear'. I have already saved everything in an external file but in the Action menu there is no option to clear.
I'm using an hp computer with Windows 7. I use IE 9 as my browser. When I open tools, or click on the gear wheel I get the option to "view downloads". I click on clear list to get rid of the ones I don't want, or I clear the whole file. The list does clear. But the next time I open the browser and go to view downloads, the same items are still there. How do I clear them so they don't reappear? Do I need to go into the registry editor?
I want clear all my cookies with some exceptions For that I use Click&Clean extension to clear all cookies, history, ... when Chrome closes, for whitelist i use "Cookies" app (it has the "encrypted cookie storage"), it works great, but i don't know which the cookies i need add to whitelist, that keep me logged in to Gmail
Is there a way to clear the 'Last Run' date and % fragmented in Disk Defragmenter in Windows 7?I've cleared the event viewer application and system log files and also completely disabled and reenabled the defrag service. I'm not sure what else to try.I ran Analyze on my SSD (did not run defrag) to see what it would say. I just don't want that history showing it as fragmented. I understand it's a trivial complaint though, but don't like seeing it. That data has got to be saved somewhere in the OS and I want to blow it up
