Audio Distorted On Acer Aspire 5741?
Jun 3, 2012I have a sound issue on an acer aspire 5741 the sound drivers are the realtek6.0.1.6602 high def audio driver and also the intel display audio high def audio buswhen I play sound through either the speakers or the headphones jack the sound is distorted like an effect has been added when I test the speakers through the testing it sounds clear and perfect I have removed third party audio editing software such as audacity software and audio box

Jul 13, 2010I have a recently bought Acer Aspire 5745g and made a clean install of Windows 7 since I couldn't stand all the jibberish that accompanied the laptop in the first place. However, when I run all the drivers provided by Acer (their website, didn't get any CD/DVD) all devices except one function properly; "PCI simple communications controller".
Without pushing the Aspire nearly as hard as I could push my old one (3 years old HP nx9420) it got too warm and froze twice. Hence I'm thinking the "PCI simple communications controller" maybe could have something to do with the fan speed (barely noticeable wind-flow)??

Unusable Memory Windows 7 64bit Acer Aspire 5532
May 19, 2012I have an Acer Aspire 5532 running Windows 7 64 bit with 3.00 GB ram and I have 2.75 GB of ram saying unusable. My computer is and has been very slow and I haven't recently added or removed any hardware.I have checked 2 possible problems from info I found on this problem being I've located msconfig, boot, advanced options, max memory is "unchecked" and have checked my bios which do show the correct amount of memory but I can not enable "memory remap" because bios does not support. I've added a resource monitor screen shot below.

Jan 6, 2012I have a acer aspire 5935G 64bit running Windows 7 home premium and cannot for the life of me get the internal speakers to work I have been on the acer website and downloaded Audio_Realtek_6.0.1.5932_W7x64W7x86_A as recommended by the site but to no joy.At first I just downloaded and tried to install which didn't work - well it said it did but the little speaker in the bottom left has a 'x' in the centre when clicked it says there is a issue and tries to fix it then fails.My device manager has one failed driver 'with yellow/orange exclamation mark' on high definition audio controller. Other sound drivers that do not have a error are another high def audio controller which are both in the system devices section, and then theres a hdmi audio controller in speakers and sound section. I then tried to disable then uninstall all sound drivers and try again which gave me the same result as above.Now after unstalling it one click on speaker and it installs windows audio drivers which do not work.
