Nov 29, 2011I have an desktop Asus with windows 7 Home premium. System has been working fine untill this morning. the CD does not display when I slect (My Computer). Also tried to bring up a dvd and nothing happens. Worked with Asus support. On the device manager the device shows location but has the Yellow error message. On trouble shooting I get ( HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH40N ATA Device has driver problem). I tried fix it but it says no fix. We checked bios it shows there. Down loaded driver software no change. In device manager I slected unit, selected uninstalled. Restarted computer it recognized CD-Rom loaded software successvely. But still not showing

Dec 13, 20101. I bought an ASUS K52 laptop. It has a 500 GB drive and a Win 7 x64 Home premium OS.
2. And then I install Windows 7 x86
3. Now I want to back Windows 7 x64 from Hidden partition but when I ran recovery (pressing F9), it just stuck, didn't want to work and then returned an error message with "cannot connect do a device on your computer".
I thing MBR is corrupted. How to repair that and how can I make the ASUS recovery part work? I tried startup repair but but nothing seems to work.

May 19, 2012Every time i want to use the computers sound it starts making a horrible beep sound, very high pitch. I tried using the sound settings but nothing, if i disable the mic then i cannot hear anything i want to play on netflix. i cant use skype or any other program designed to use sound without hearing this beep.

Nov 25, 2009When connecting from my own or a 2nd computer from my own windows live home page which shows my data every time I click mail it shows up as a no can do due to log in error. My computer will go there automatically w/o a problem but not from the live mail home page. Whats up w/that?
I have shanged my password and that took, so I know that's not the problem.
I installed Win 7 from Vista, no problem and then installed Win Live Mail only. This was the 1st use of Live mail. I dropped Outlook. Do I need to install something else?
