Since I installed Windows 7 (Home Premium Edition) my Word 2010 program is deleting random spaces when I save a document. This happens whether I am in 2010 mode or 97-2003 compatibility mode. It's been happening on all my documents for over two months and I can't find a way to stop it.
We upgraded Office Home and Student 2010 a month or so ago. It works fine on one account but Word freezes when trying to save a file on another account. The Excel works ok.I have to restart to get out of it. I opened another account to see if it would work, it did
Using Win 7 Home premium and Word 2003. Record new macros, but they're not available if I close and re-open Word. Have renamed normal.dot to oldnormal.dot but don't see a new normal template. Have Acrobat 9.0 but found past problems only with Acrobat 7Everything worked fine using Word 2003 with Vista so wonder if Win 7 is the proble

windows 7 prof. 64bit / office 2010 When i have been working on documents which require repetative entries and I copy these entries to the clipbpard, is there a way of saving these entries on the clipboard so when so that when I close the current document and open a new one that all previous entries onto the clipboard will still be there? At the moment it is only the last item copied to the clipboard in the previous session that remains when I open a new document.
I've just downloaded Student and Home Office 2010, and for some reason I now cannot open documnents that are Word 2007. I also cannot save work onto my memory stick, as for some reason, it saves the document as Word 2007, even though I am doing the work on Word 2010! (I only ever had a trial version of 2007, never the whole thing and it is no longer on my comp) I am starting a history course soon, and their online docs are 2007, and again, I can't open them. A message pops up saying that 'the file does not have a programme associated with it for perfoming this action' thats what pops up every time.
I am trying to create a template with specific styling to be used by our group. Any document created with this template should be saved to a shared network folder. I'd like to know if this is possible...When I right click on my template and choose NEW, the resulting document should use...- the default text font face, size and colour that I specified.- the default paragraph spacing and indentation rules that I specified.
I have been looking around for a Windows altern eative to mac spaces. I hate everything about the mac os except for spaces. LOL . All I've been able to find are ones that you have to use keyboard shortcuts for, when I really want one that takes advantage of touchpad control. If there is not anything out there like this is there a program that will allow me to record a touchpad gesture and set it to a set of keys (imitating gesture support).
It works fine on almost anything except flash spaces.
See, I play this game in which I have to speak Japanese, but since it's a flash space I have to type in the given comment box. Every time I click the comment box, the language bar disappears and switches to roman characters automatically. It's rather inconvenient to copy and paste everything I type. And it's not only about the game, but these live events in which people give their opinions online and if I can only type English, my opinion would be ignored.
I somehow figured out how to get it to work right a few days ago, but after I turned my computer on the next day, everything is back to the way it was.
I thought if I switched the default input language to Japanese, it would work, but nothing is happening still.
I am having trouble setting up junctions and I think it isn't working because some of the folders/filenames have spaces and it messes up the syntax. How to get it to work?
I changed via the dialog the TEXT SIZE via the screen resolution in the control panel to CUSTOM SIZE.With one of the newer "Cinema" or Very Wide screen (1680 X 900) displays after I'd increased the text size to over 160 % I didn't get the possibility to SAVE any documents any more via the SAVE AS button. The SAVE dialog would appear but the SAVE button was missing. The effect was noticed in Office 2007 (all programs) Notepad etc etc.Seems to be a Windows fault as this should not be allowed to happen.on more traditional "Squarer" type monitors -- no problem.
Is there any way to set the default save location folder for downloads in IE8 to the last folder that the same file type was saved in? It makes no sense to default to a single folder and have to browse through to the desired folder for every single download, so I assume there has to be an option somewhere.
I normally use Word 2003 for documents, although I use Outlook 2010. This morning I opened a Word 2010 document and after quite a while of some sort of an installation, I was able to open the Word 2010 document. I did not think too much of it, except that later I was sending an e-mail and attached a Word 2003 document and when I went to check it (i.e. open it up) it opened in Word 2010. How do I disable Word 2010 as my default program to open Word documents. I do not want to uninstall the program, but at this point I am not ready to learn how to use Word 2010.
Have been using WORD 2007.But, I just downloaded and installed Open Office. But I only want to use it for its Spreadsheet. However, it looks like its word processing component has taken over. Now, my WORD documents are being opened by Open Office which I do not want. How can I make WORD the Default word processing program (again)?
When I first set it up, I said yes to IE's, "Do you want IE to remember this info....." Now that user id is no longer used, and it is a real pain because it starts with the same letter as a currently used ID, and when that letter is typed in, the old one pops into the sign in box. Then of course, I have to type in the rest of the ID until the correct ID is recognized. I've tried to uand it says I need to go to User Accounts. I can't even figure out how to do that
In error from a brand new hard drive (and build), I installed the 32-bit version of windows 7 onto my SSD. Upon the product key screen was when I noticed the issue. I input my product key, got windows loaded and then booted from the 64-bit CD instead. Here I chose the custom install feature and went to overwrite my old partition from the 32-bit version but it would not let me. I tried deleting it as well and I could not. I've since loaded 64-bit windows but I do notice that approximately 8Gb is down on my SSD.So at this point, I think I may have 2 options but I'm not sure how to go about either:1) Format the SSD completely so it is in a state like it came out of the box.2) Delete the old partition and gain 8Gb of space on the SSD while using 64-bit windows.
I recently had major problems accessing the internet and some other problems, so I reinstalled Win 7 Home Premium. I had problems reinstalling anmd had to do it a couple of times. I now find in explorer that I have Windows.old, windows.old000 and windows old.001. They do not shown in uninstall. They are taking up a lot of space and when I try to delete them I get messages saying that I need system permission to delete some files, so the folders will not delete. How do I get rid of them.I originally wanted to reformat the hard drive (after backing up everything I wanted on an external HDD) but at teh command prompt I was told thatI did not have sufficient privileges. Can anyone tell me how I can get the privileges to reformat the HDD.I have also found now that my internet connection is running so sloww as to be useless. It is down loading at about 600 BYTES per sec.
I have tried making a VPN, and did it and could connect. Now this was just something I wanted to try for the fun of knowing I'd be able to do it. I have a problem now, I don't know how to delete a network on Windows 7. If someone could help me as google was of no help to remove a single network (as there are important ones, mostly because of the college).
I'm using Windows 7 Pro x64 and when I try to remove the network, I firstly don't know where to go to find it, and when I thought I had found a way to remove it and tried it in the "Merge or delete network locations" link on the "set Network Preperties" Window, it didn't work.
Okay, I want to do a fresh install of Windows 7 onto an SSD, then use my HDD which currently has Windows 7 on it for extra storage. However, I don't want to be prompted about which drive to boot from, nor do I want useless OS files on my spare drive.I don't have another drive to backup files to, so backing up then formatting isn't an option. What can I do to delete the OS files entirely and structure the drive like you would a typical backup drive?
Try to delete in WLM account A but deletion occurs in accounts B and C as well. How can you delete contacts in WLM in one account but keep contacts in other accounts?
I don't know if this is the right section to post this but can not find one that looks like it suites my problem.I downloaded a free font the other day and with it came this incredibar search bar it overrides my google search engine and any other one I want to use. I have gone online and searched and have came up with many ways people say they have gotten rid on it but none of there solutions have worked for m I read that it is malware and you should not leave it on your machine. I have ran my AVG and it does not detect it. I have deleted it from the all programs and done many things in the settings and set google as my default but to no avail it still comes up.

I just reinstalled windows and wanted to get a homegroup going for my desktop and my laptop. THe problem is some kid in my complex who was friends with my roommate has created one for some random reason and win7 only wants me to join his. Is there a way i can get his homegroup off of my network? or just make a new one all together?
I thought that re-installing Win7 Upgrade over Vista using Custom install would get rid of ALL the win7 files. This needed to be done as the virus that got that computer was next to impossible to get off. After re-installing (twice to make sure) there are still files from the original install over Vista. The windows.old and windows.old.000 files are both referring to Win7. What I would like to do is this: Uninstall everything from Win7, taking me back to Vista, doing a recovery (alt-f12) so I have clean Vista then install Win7.
so I have a new computer with Windows 7. I want to know the best way to delete junk files etc. automatically each time I boot up. I used Ccleaner on XP and I'd like to know if there is an alternative.
