Word 2000 Works On One Pc But Not The Other?

I have 2 identical windows 7 pc's that I just setup. They are both running windows 7 pro x64. I installed office 2000 small business with sp1. One one machine word and excel will launch just fine. On the other machine, excel will launch but word hangs.I tried starting word in compatibility mode and as an administrator. That didn't work. I lauched it from the run command using the /a and it would start. I looked and there are no startup macros that run

After Installing Office 2000 Pro On My Lab Top With Windows 7 I Try To Open Word And Get A Error Saying No Registration Information Found The Word Shuts Down. I Installed It On My Other Lab Top With Windows 7 And It Works Fine I Deleted All Office 2010 Products.

I have Office 2000 and I like it, I moved it over to my new Windows 7 laptop and moved all my Word docs over and now I can't do a thing with my word files - they are all read only.

Each day, the first time I opening 'any' existing Microsoft Works Word Processor file that I have, such as ones I have for phone numbers, addresses, etc., I have to wait about 45 seconds for the file to open. And while I'm waiting, I can't do anything else on the computer. Any of those files I open the rest of the day, open immediately. It's just the first time each day.

Friend has some old documents from the days of Windows 3.1. They are written in Microsoft Works 3.0 (or was it 4.0).
The problem is all the solution I found to open those documents in Word are for Word 2000, which I don't have.
Is there a way to open them in Word 2007 or Word 2010?

I normally use Word 2003 for documents, although I use Outlook 2010. This morning I opened a Word 2010 document and after quite a while of some sort of an installation, I was able to open the Word 2010 document. I did not think too much of it, except that later I was sending an e-mail and attached a Word 2003 document and when I went to check it (i.e. open it up) it opened in Word 2010. How do I disable Word 2010 as my default program to open Word documents. I do not want to uninstall the program, but at this point I am not ready to learn how to use Word 2010.

But I only want to use it for its Spreadsheet.However, it looks like its word processing component has taken over.Now, my WORD documents are being opened by Open Office which I do not want.How can I make WORD the Default word processing program (again)?

I have a new laptop running Win7 Home Premium. I also have another (older) laptop running the same. The problem is that although both are 64bit, the older one loaded and runs Office 2000 quite happily, but the newer one says it's incompatible!
1, Why does one comp run it and not the other?
2. How can I make it compatible?

I have an ECS H61H2-M2 mobo with a G620 cpu. Makes a nice budget rig, but I was thinking of using it as an HTPC in the near future. It only has a VGA out right now. What would be a good video card to upgrade to with HDMI and DVI? Low profile and fanless would be optimal but not mandatory.

I had all my files transfered from my old desktop to a new laptop. When I tried to load Microsoft 2000, I was asked for the 25 digit product key which I typed in the required box. I assumed that finished the process. Now when I click on a file, I get the following message" required registry information is missing and this application cannot run.
