Kindle Transfer/usb Stick To Kindle?
Mar 14, 2012A friend gave me a usb stick with Kindle ebooks on it, I made a new folder in documents the dragged & dropped a number of book titles from the usb stick to my laptop new folder. I then ejected the usb stick, clicked on new folder in documents, connected my kindle & tried to download the ebooks to my kindle. When I thought I had finished I tried to find the books on my Kindle, nothing there. Went to documents ,clicked on new folder & was told folder empty. As the books on the usb stick had dissapeared, where did they go?

Can this be done on windows 7? If not will it work if I do it on windows server 2008 r2 via creating a dhcp server?
Kindle For PC On Windows Home Premium 64 Freezes
Dec 30, 2011Sometimes I am able to access the menu but it freezes at some point. everything is green and ok. Sometimes I can access one bought books, but cannot highlight a text. Or change the size of the font. I can mark the text, but when I try to highlight, the pointing hand turns into a hyphen. Cannot, in any way, add a note or use the copy function. However I can always use the built dictionary without any problems. If I try to access the Library, most of the time it freezes and sometimes not. The reading process has been very uneasy to follow. If I do access one book, there is no way to come back to the Library and read another book. Checked virus many times and nothing came up. This is a very strange behavior. Checking the Task manager and in Kindle line says it is running and does not show any problem. Everything I know was done, like install/uninstall, erase all traces of prior installation, install again as Administrator, run the installation or the Kindle program as an Administrator, deregister, register again, download books again and so on, following all instructions on Amazon site. Kindle 1.8.3 System with 6 GB of memory I7 NVIDIA GeForce GT 425M with 1 GB of dedicated video memory that passed the stress test 300 GB of free HD Operating System and virus program completely updated.

May 19, 2011Untill yesterday my homegroup was working just fine. Two laptops / home premium / windows 7.Now when I try to access it I am prompted for a Network user name and password, the same promt giving details of my domain. This is not my homegroup password, I know where and how to find / use it. I have renamed pc's tried setting up homegroup again etc etc. Incidently I cant change the share options on any of my folders now, they are all locked to 'Nobody'.Can anyone help as it appears to have support from Microsoft for their product I'll have to pay pardon my igronance but if I sold a product with constant updates I wont charge for the support.

4 PCs - One Vista, 2 Windows 7 Home Premium, 1 Windows 7 Ultimate. All see each other. All have appropriate folders shared.
Try accessing A from B and I get "Enter Network Password (to connect to B)". I never set one up to start with, so why is it asking me for it. How do I access/change something I never set?
Try accessing B from A - I see the PC, and the folders I want but trying to access them results in "You do not have permissionto access folder names Contact your network administrator - who he? Obviously me but I don't know what the answer is!
Trying similar things with the other two PCs in the mix results in various permutations of the same problem.
I have tried all the various links suggested through Networking and Help, but most of the actions seem to be boxes to click to make the PCs try to sort themselves out. When it fails I can't find a manual way of trying to sort it out.
Any suitable tutorials that may help? Couldn't see any.

I have valid IPs on all the laptops, but cannot connect to router setup page.
