I am having issues when trying to pause then play most video types including mkv. If I pause and then play a video the audio starts just fine but the video is frozen until I skip forward or backward. It is only an issue if I pause then play the video within ~10 seconds. Not sure what is going on here or how to fix this. I'm using Shark007 codecs.
My computer is acting strangely and cannot seem to play video files without them freezing up. I can play up to about 10 mins of video before the audio starts getting scratchy and the video freezes and jumps or my computer will just shut down.
My laptop has started to freeze and make a horrible buzzing sound whenever I try to play video. It performs perfectly if I am not trying to watch a video. It has only recently started doing this. It freezes so badly, I have to completely reboot the system. All the drivers are up to date. That is the very first thing I checked. i went to the manufacturer's home page as well and made sure the newest drivers were installed. I have mobile Intel (r) 4 series express chipset family.
how can I play a video in jet audio (or any other media program) on one monitor while I play a fullscreen game on the other. I can get it to work with streams off of website like own3d.tv and twitch.tv, and I can even run the streams in full screen. However when I try to run a movie through jet audio or even just play music through zune player, they freeze up. The audio will still come through, but either the picture is frozen in place or the zune player seems to get frozen.
I am experiencing a unique issue with my WMC HTPC box. Anytime I watch content from either WMC7 or WMP7 I get audio and video stuttering every minute. Sometimes, the stuttering will cause the box to freeze up, forcing a restart. At no time do I receive memory warnings prior to or after each event. I've tried restarting the computer in the hopes of clearing the RAM, clearing the Temp Files, and running ChkDsk (at the time of this posting, the process has taken over 1 hour to complete - not sure if this is normal). I also installed Process Explorer to see if the issue was memory related. While it appears that WMC is hogging up to 3/4 of my RAM at some points, usage is mostly confined between 1.3-1.7 GB.
The spikes occur regardless of the RAM usage but not when WMC is running idle (meaning ON but not displaying content other than the main menu). Process Explorer appears to show that the issue is possibly related to SVCHOST - when I place my mouse over each spike, it displays SVCHOST but not the programs which that particular version of HOST is running. I am running WMC7 64-bit, with two 500GB drives (one mirrored), a third drive (2TB internal) for video and music, 4GB of RAM, an Intel i3, a Hauppauge 1850 Dual Tuner, and a ASUS P7H55-M PRO motherboard. I will update with ChkDsk info when it finishes.
When I use firefox to try to watch video the video runs OK but when I stop it or it ends, my PC then freezes. This does not happen with IE8.I have uninstalled Adobe flash player (with the uninstall software from Adobe) then reinstalled it bit the same happens.
"The big ?""Why does my computer freeze and makes a ugly sound how can I fix it"This is how------- use a program to update your video driver (driver genie) windows update gives you a bad update that makes your video card error out and freezes your pc.or you can roll back your driver to the last known working driver
I haven't been able to resolve. This is a new PC build, one month old, that has been having download issues, frequently freezing in the middle of downloads, and also freezes when watching streaming video. On file downloads, when it freezes, I can pause the download, then resume, and it will usually resume the download. I may have to do that 5-10 times to get the entire file. I was just watching a streaming video promo on buy.com's website (about 4 minutes long), and at 1 minute and 6 seconds the video freezes every time. I've tried to watch that video with IE, Firefox and Chrome, with the same results - freezing at 1 minute and 6 seconds with all three browsers. My regular web browsing seems to be very fast, no issues there (I have 6 mbps DSL). My network card has the latest driver (but I haven't tried to reinstall it). I have attached my PC info as a text file.
wmp wont let me play any clips off the net,it says, Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct.
i have a problem with my computer or maybe browser ,when i want to play video on facebook ,its not work and show the text "video unavailable: this video has either has been removed from facebook or is not visible due to privacy setting"....i have installed the latest adobe flash player and the video has not removed, my friend can play the video except me ,but when i want to play video on Internet ,its work?
I recently got a 32" tv which I am using as a monitor, hooked up using hdmi. During gameplay my computer freezes for a second or less and then everything is fine. This only happens when I play games. I was wondering if its because of the tv my gpu has to push out more power b/c of the hdmi setup? My previous monitor was an hyundai 17" crt using a vga cable.I don't think it has anything to do with any particular game b/c they all ran fine before at 1280 x 960, and I now run games at either 1280 x 720 or 1360 x 768.Do I need a more powerful PSU, the one I have is a Xtech 500W with a over a years use. (I am in the process of getting a Thermaltake TR2 600W)My specs are:Win 7 Ultimate x64 SP1AMD Phenom II X4 965Kingston 8GB DDR 32 hard drives at 7200 rpmnvidia gtx 550 Ti
I've done some very basic things, such as update my drivers that needed to be updated, I've also scanned for possible RAT's and malware. Malwarebytes and DarkComet Remover did pop up malware, and they were removed. I have also done a System Restore on this laptop, and well, nothing has worked either. I have anime and media on this computer. (All were backed up just in case the bombshell dropped on this laptop.) This is a issue with drivers, and not the internal parts. I really do not want to loose any of them, or even format the laptop. This laptop works 100% fine while running in Safe Mode w/ Networking, but when I hit a video or audio, it just freezes.
recently, it happens when i click play on any video (Internet, facebook.. ), my computer's screen went black immediately and the power is still on. i have to hold the start button for 2,3 seconds to restart it.
I recorded a video on my HTC EVO & it will not play nor has ever played. It says sorry this video cannot be played on the phone & on my computer it will not play either. I use VLC to playback on the computer. I have used handbrake and vlc to try in convert it but with out success. I am desperate to have this video play. These are the error messages when trying to play on VLC;
main error: ES_OUT_SET_(GROUP_)PCR is called too late (jitter of 17382 ms ignored) main error: ES_OUT_RESET_PCR called main error: ES_OUT_SET_(GROUP_)PCR is called too late (pts_delay increased to 5135 ms)
I bought an Nvidia 570gtx and I am able to have both audio and sound to play on my TV as a second monitor. However to do this I have to go into windows 7 screen resolution screen and duplicate the displays though ones 1900x1200 and the Tv is 1920x1080 causing the PC screen to look funky but I can live with it to launch the games.I than have to go into the sound properties and set the default for the system to the HDMI cable and I can play my games on the TV like I want. (about 30 feet away)When done I have to come back and undue each setting to get control back to my PC.
have a dell vostro 360, and im just wondering if i need to to upgrade my Dedicated Video RAM. i want to play games on the pc but when i check if it will play a game i allways fail on the video ram
It plays about the first 5 minutes of a video pretty well, but then it stutters...Stops n goes... Windows 7, wmp 11 i think, on the gateway n72 laptop.Upgrade to wmp n/a... May it be that i need a service pack to windows 7?
I've been using Windows 7 RC x64 6.1.7100 for about a month now, and i've used K-Lite to watch videos without running into any problems.
But for the past 3 days anytime i play a video, windows 7 will lock up sometimes in a few minutes and sometimes it will take longer. Keyboard commmands dont work.
This happens with K-Lite , VLC and WMP.
I have tried uninstalling K-Lite and installing the latest codecs, this didnt work. I have also tried Windows 7 Codecs ( Shark007.net - Windows 7 Codecs )
My video card is an ATI Radeon HD 3850, i had the latest Windows 7 drivers installed, I uninstalled those and installed the drivers for Vista, same problem.
any ideas of what could be wrong or something i have done or have not done?
Using dual monitors. Trying to find out how to configure how to play a game and watch video at the same time. Using VLC player for the video. Tried playing a game, and the video freezes but the audio is still playing.
i have some troubles to play all kind of media files now. the problem comes out a few days ago and i have no idea what may be the reason. i am very sure i didn't install anything to my computer and there is no notifications to tell me anything that is damaged etc. and i just reinstall the entire computer once today but the problem is ongoing!!!!!!!!!!i am running my computer on windows 7 Pro X86. And the problems is that doesn't matter what media player i use and no matter what type of files i try to play they start to play for about one second then automatically stopped. but if i switch the media player to background then they can play the file till it finish. so far i have tried windows media player VLC KMplayer Real player and quick time player. the file i have tried are mp3 mp4 flv mkv wma wmv avi 3gp and ape.
a funny thing i notice is that when i move my mouse to the minimized windows on taskbar, the preview only flash out for a short time then disappear even i don't move my mouse, not sure if this has anything to do with my problem though.
when I put fullscreen anykind of flash video like megavideo or videobb or others, fps rate is really low! I have disabled any windows visual effect and have tried on IE, Firefox and Opera and the problem is still the same. Cpu never goes above 40% so it is not performances problem... what is this?
My hard drive crashed and when I replaced it and reinstalled windows7 everything worked except when I go online and try to view news stories or movie trailers. The commercial will play but then there is just a spinning loop and no video.
The reason I ended up there was because I was getting a problem where, at random times during random programs, the computer would lose signal to the monitor... Pause for a while, then reboot. Figuring I might have old hardware profiles that needed updating, I went to check my windows updater and found it was disabled... A short series of checks and Gringo was head to head with a Zero Acess Infection, which he promptly kicked the backside of.However, since then, the black screen issue has returned. It seems it wasn't Malware related. It doesn't seem to have any obvious pattern. Sometimes it happens when nothing it happening at all, and when I get back to the computer there is just an error log.Sometimes it happens twice in a row, sometimes not for hours. CPU and GPU seem to be at normal tempsWhen windows reboots it has the following error log: Problem signature: Problem Event Name[CODE]
I recently had to purchase a brand new motherboard because my last one died on me and now I am having a strange problem. I can not seem to play any video games without the sound from the game turning off and pausing any music I happen to be listening to. I can turn back on the Music by skipping ahead in the song track but the game sound stays off until it resolves itself after a few minutes.
after hardrive died a6417c hp installed hardrive (up the drive to 1 tb western black and windows 7 ) sound system works except no sound display on screen.
