when I put fullscreen anykind of flash video like megavideo or videobb or others, fps rate is really low! I have disabled any windows visual effect and have tried on IE, Firefox and Opera and the problem is still the same. Cpu never goes above 40% so it is not performances problem... what is this?
When i play any video on flash player its not working properly and windows in giving me error report as display driver stopped working.I am using windows 7 and i hav ATI Express 200 graphics card
My problem is slow usb transfer rate - at first it start off real good (70-80 mb/s then within 10 sec it drops down to 3 and even 1 mb/s). 1.5 mb file gets into my flash drive in 10 min or so. Now I've formatted flash drives, no change. Write-caching enabled, "best performance" for flash drives enabled... Tried on a Lap-Top - transfer rate is not so high, but stable all the time - 15-12 mb/s. Remote Differential Compression disabled. Transfer rate within the hard drives in my computer is OK (I got 2). I don't know if it's the Windows 7 problem or the motherboard problem or hard drives config problem.
Here is my info: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit HDD's: Samsung 500bg and ST 320 bg, both 16 mb 7200 mobo - GA-770T-D3L, v.1. RAM - 8gb Phenom IIx6
how can I play a video in jet audio (or any other media program) on one monitor while I play a fullscreen game on the other. I can get it to work with streams off of website like own3d.tv and twitch.tv, and I can even run the streams in full screen. However when I try to run a movie through jet audio or even just play music through zune player, they freeze up. The audio will still come through, but either the picture is frozen in place or the zune player seems to get frozen.
am i alone in the fact that flash refuses to play nice with Windows 7. and no browser is immune to it's deadly ilk, that Windows 7 is starting to emanate. no sou gesly folks, it doesn't matter what browser i try to get flash installed on, it jus will not happen.
unless one of you geniuses figured out a way..... eh?
I have this laptop on loan and ca not play the gifs I created on WXP, there must be a simple solution, like open with windows picture and fax plyer but its not here?
wmp wont let me play any clips off the net,it says, Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct.

My computer is acting strangely and cannot seem to play video files without them freezing up. I can play up to about 10 mins of video before the audio starts getting scratchy and the video freezes and jumps or my computer will just shut down.
I bought an Nvidia 570gtx and I am able to have both audio and sound to play on my TV as a second monitor. However to do this I have to go into windows 7 screen resolution screen and duplicate the displays though ones 1900x1200 and the Tv is 1920x1080 causing the PC screen to look funky but I can live with it to launch the games.I than have to go into the sound properties and set the default for the system to the HDMI cable and I can play my games on the TV like I want. (about 30 feet away)When done I have to come back and undue each setting to get control back to my PC.

I've been using Windows 7 RC x64 6.1.7100 for about a month now, and i've used K-Lite to watch videos without running into any problems.
But for the past 3 days anytime i play a video, windows 7 will lock up sometimes in a few minutes and sometimes it will take longer. Keyboard commmands dont work.
This happens with K-Lite , VLC and WMP.
I have tried uninstalling K-Lite and installing the latest codecs, this didnt work. I have also tried Windows 7 Codecs ( Shark007.net - Windows 7 Codecs )
My video card is an ATI Radeon HD 3850, i had the latest Windows 7 drivers installed, I uninstalled those and installed the drivers for Vista, same problem.
any ideas of what could be wrong or something i have done or have not done?
Using dual monitors. Trying to find out how to configure how to play a game and watch video at the same time. Using VLC player for the video. Tried playing a game, and the video freezes but the audio is still playing.
i have some troubles to play all kind of media files now. the problem comes out a few days ago and i have no idea what may be the reason. i am very sure i didn't install anything to my computer and there is no notifications to tell me anything that is damaged etc. and i just reinstall the entire computer once today but the problem is ongoing!!!!!!!!!!i am running my computer on windows 7 Pro X86. And the problems is that doesn't matter what media player i use and no matter what type of files i try to play they start to play for about one second then automatically stopped. but if i switch the media player to background then they can play the file till it finish. so far i have tried windows media player VLC KMplayer Real player and quick time player. the file i have tried are mp3 mp4 flv mkv wma wmv avi 3gp and ape.
a funny thing i notice is that when i move my mouse to the minimized windows on taskbar, the preview only flash out for a short time then disappear even i don't move my mouse, not sure if this has anything to do with my problem though.
My laptop has started to freeze and make a horrible buzzing sound whenever I try to play video. It performs perfectly if I am not trying to watch a video. It has only recently started doing this. It freezes so badly, I have to completely reboot the system. All the drivers are up to date. That is the very first thing I checked. i went to the manufacturer's home page as well and made sure the newest drivers were installed. I have mobile Intel (r) 4 series express chipset family.
My hard drive crashed and when I replaced it and reinstalled windows7 everything worked except when I go online and try to view news stories or movie trailers. The commercial will play but then there is just a spinning loop and no video.
I am about to lose it. I have tried several firefox addons, tried replay media catcher and other media catchers/downloaders and all fail to download a simple flash video from a website. The frustrating part is that the video is non-existent in firefox cache as well so there is no way to download this. Replay media catcher and all these useless video downloaders.
Btw this is the video here: Powerful typhoon hits Japan mainland (+video) - World - NZ Herald News
when using sites like bbc iplayer or Internet the sound plays fine but the video freezes for a second every few seconds, i also see the same issue in vlc, windows media seems fine.
also my pc beeps repetitively when i exit firefox after having choppy playback, this last for a minute or so, this doesn't happen with vlc.
i have tried updating my nvidea drivers and also direct x but this has made no difference.
i use the latest version of firefox but have tried internet explorer and it has the same issues.
my pc is brand new from dell, although i re-installed everything from a fresh copy of windows seven as soon as i got it
i have 1 terabyte of space split over 2 actual drives that are partitioned into 4 drives, my c drive has 84 gb spare.
i have installed a windows 7 ultimate rtm trial on my pc and connected it to my internode nakedadsl2+ ultra net connection. it is an 18mbit connection with cat6 cables and when downloading a test file from internode's servers pulls about 1200kb/s.
i have noticed, ever since running 7085, that Internet and other video streaming sites (including facebook, collegehumour, etc.) that the buffering is very patchy. it does not seem to matter if it is a flash or vimeo or any other kind of video streaming. often times, i will be watching a video and the progress bar will catch up with the buffering and simply stop buffering. then when i try to re-watch the video, the already buffered material is in the cache and that is all that loads. it does not continue buffering from where it stopped. very annoying!
i also have a machine with xp which buffers much quicker and with minimal interruptions.
can anyone help with this and has anyone noticed the same thing?
Playing Flash videos in either regular or full screen will freeze PC to a point I have no option but to hard boot.
Long-term gaming has no issues, nor does long term PC "on-time".
An annoying "humm" is all i get besides a completely frozen desktop.
I have tested both IE 8, both 32bit and 64bit, and Firefox 3.55 32bit.
I have used the tools available from adobe to remove former versions, and reinstalled the newest available.
I came across a couple "tweaking solutions", but neither of which have worked.
1)disable java in firefox 2)disable hardware acceleration in Flash
I even went on to allow unlimited storage within flash for the sites i watch the most.
The videos can last anywhere from 2 seconds upwards of 30 minutes. No mouse movement, nothing else running, besides Comodo Firewall. (which I hope isn't the problem).
The last 2 things I have NOT tried yet is updating my BIOS, and a clean install. (original install was clean though)
This PC is a homebuild, and a completely new machine to me. SO i have yet to refine which drivers work best for me. It is only about 2 weeks old.
