View 5 Replies View Relatedi just bought a new video card (EVGA GTX260) yesterday and installed it and played with it with no problem....(one day later)......until now so basically here what happens now. when i boot up it goes through the "starting up" phase and when the window 7 says "Welcome" after that i just get a blue screen, no word no picture just blue!
So i press the reset button and i am only able to go to my desktop menu by safe mode! and if i try to go through "start up computer regular" it would just lead me to the blue plane screen....
The reason why i think it is the driver is because in safe mode i am able to uninstall my nvidia driver. Restart and WOW i am back to my "REGULAR" desktop menu but with no driver. SO as soon as i am on my screen Window 7 wants install the newly detected video card's drivers for me and i do. when i restart BAM! back to the blue screen..
[code] so i know i need more ram for video editing but what should i upgrade to 8gb and add another 2gb in or max out to 16gb.i know a ssd hard drive would be good but can;t afford at the moment.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a toshiba satellite laptop l455d-s5976 with windows 7 home premium its only using 2.87 gb of 4 gb that i installed. it originally came with 2 gb. it uses a AMD sempron SI 42 2.10 ghz processor, i like to edit video and i thought getting more ram would help speed it up but i see that its not even using 3 gb of the 4. is there anyway to make it use more like 3 or so? because i read that i would have to get a 64 bit OS to use all the 4 gb.
View 7 Replies View Relatedi've come across Age of Empires 2 and AoC expansion and want to play them, however get a graphics system error."Could not initialize graphics system. Make sure that your video card and driver are compatible with DirectDraw"

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit,
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8300 @2.50GHz

- I've tried to right click the shortcut and change the compatability to XP server pack 2, run as administrator, updated my graphics card drivers and downloaded the latest directX 11 from the Microsoft Website.
Just upgraded from Vista Business 32bit to Win 7 Pro 32 bit AOE working fine before upgrade but now error shown as:"Could not initialize graphics system. Make sure that your video card and driver are compatible with DirectDraw"I've checked the drivers are the latest. Directx is ver 11. DirectDraw enabled. Video card is ATI Radeon HD 3650 with latest driver.Tried compatibility modes, disabling Aero, re-install AOE, XP virtual mode. Nothing works.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems with my the graphics card on my laptop. It's an APU and I have picture and videos problems. Whenever I watch movies or look at pictures I see most things fuzzy, (if that makes any sense). I tried to watch a DVD and the video quality was unbearable. The most unbelievable thing is it affects picture quality. I can't do anything without poor quality pictures or videos. I have tried installing new drivers and all sorts of things. Is it me or is it my laptop?
My Laptop Specs:
AMD A6 Quad Core APU 1.5Ghz
AMD Radeon HD 6520G
6GB DDR3 Memory 1066Mhz
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
I recently purchased a new computer, and need some help finding the right video editing software. My previous computer couldn't support .3gp files (the format cell phones shoot video in), so I bought AVS Video Editor. Worked fine. Now the new computer (Win7 Home Premium) has a version of Windows Movie Maker on it that seems to play nice with .3gp files. BUT the new version of Windows Movie Maker is WAY too simple, or I just can't figure out where everything is. So I need to purchase new software. AVS might be fine again, but if there's any other input, I'm game.
Here's what I need:
1. Ability to work with .3gp files is a must.
2. Ability to display the preview on top and timeline/storyboard on bottom with separate lines for extra audio, subtitles, etc. is preferred.
3. If I could rotate videos 90 degrees, that would be nice. Sometimes cell phone videos don't get recorded at the right angle.
I use Windows 7 O/S and the spec of mypc is 1.61 GHZ with AMD 3000 processor. I want to edit a video using Windows Movie Maker what do I need.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have heard a lot of my friends saying that they are unable to play high resolution and high definition games on their pc and told that they are on a low budget to buy a graphics card.here is a solution for that:there is a software named 3-d analyzer available in the internet which acts as a virtual graphics card for playing games. you can enter the graphic card needed from the 4 available graphic cards available and then you can get the attributes of that graphic card..if fine tuned, you can play games at the range of a 128mb ram virutal graphic card on your non graphic card pc. note:graphic intensive games, that requires atleast 512mb of graphics memory can't be played through 3d analyzer if you don't have a graphic card, but you can try running it if you have a 256/128 mb card. steps for using the 3-d analyzer software, *first download the file from here, *then extract that software and open the software, *then, select the exe file of the game that you want to run, *choose the select option, *then you can choose the attributes the options you require to play the game,*the attributes may be pixel shader or disable rendering in the game or emulation or some other options specified, *then, enter the device id and the vendor id for the graphics card you need from the available graphics card on the right.*i would suggest the ati radeon 9800pro to run most of the games like fifa 08/09 or prince of persia two thrones/sands of time, *then choose the run option and then i assure that the game would run for you at a decent/playable speed. note:1.if it shows any error that a file is not found pls reinstall the software.2.if the screen turns black/blank then play with the options in the s/w, by trial and error method,if fortunate, may be,you'll be able to run your favorite game.3.if pixel shader/shader version x.x not found, then select the appropriate shader model and run the game. all the best..happy gaming..if any queries post it below.how to: use 3d analyzer video at Internet

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've completed a new custom build, but have had problems with BSOD from the beginning with any installation of Intel Graphics drivers or the installation of any graphics card.
When I first completed the build, the XFX-7950 Black was installed. I booted to BIOS without issue, but when I inserted the Windows 7 (64 bit) it would boot through the windows logo screen but immediately BSOD right after going to the first install screen.
I removed the graphics card, and was able to complete the full Windows install without issue. I updated Windows and the drivers on the system but as soon as I installed the Intel 3000 Graphics driver, it would BSOD on every restart. I recovered back prior to the Graphics driver install and installed all other drivers. I updated the BIOS to the latest version.
I have reattempted the XFX 7950 multiple times in different slots, but with the same results. I also attempted my Radeon HD 4550 from my old computer but it gave the same results. It always boots through the Windows logo screen, but BSOD within a few seconds of reaching the password screen.
I broke down and installed Driver Whiz, which did detect multiple outdated drivers that I had not caught, but none of these fix the issues.
I've attached the requested zip. I don't think all BSOD's are showing up, as I've had to use recovery points after installed drivers didn't work. The last .dmp on 19 JUL was a Intel Graphics driver install attempt that I pulled off in safe mode before recovering back to the pre-driver point.
System:
ASUS P8Z68-V Pro/GEN 3
Intel 2600K
XFX R7950 Black Edition
OCZ 850W
Crucial 128 GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HD
Corsair H100
Windows 7 64 bit (full)
PI have to use onboard sound card to have audio through HDMI output from video card. The external sound card installed is Xonar DG and it comes with SPDIF output header to be interfaced with video card. But I do not see no such header on the video card. I wonder what video card has such an interface header.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased Samsung RF511 notebook and I have been trying to run HD video files(mkv) and they do run but it is very laggy and stuttering occurs very often. So I looked a bit into this matter and what I have found is that the VLC player that I am using to play the video files runs of the onboard graphics card and not the nvidia 540M card that is also installed in this notebook.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI assembled this computer from parts bought about 6 weeks ago, have had no problems with it until yesterday. Suddenly, I was experiencing a multitude of graphic glitches and general lag when using the computer. Engaging the graphics processor in any way seems to provoke these glitches. From a fresh restart everything looks good, but if I try to play a video file in VLC I get flickering, flashing screen, freezing, weird purple noise appearing all over the Windows 7 interface. More often than not, the nVidia driver crashes, and it's not only when playing video, performing a "Windows Experience Index Assessment" also produces these errors. So far, I've gotten four blue screens. I'm on Win 7 Professional x64 (downloaded through MSDNAA), with an ASUS GeForce GTX 560 Ti graphics card. I've tried a few different things already, including:
- Restarting computer, obviously
- Upgrading to the latest beta graphics card drivers (290.36)
- Rolling back to latest stable graphics card drivers (285.62)
I think I noticed the same .dll mentioned in all the blue screens, but I never really had time to confirm this as they occurred. Also, please see the attached "example.png" for a demonstration of the "purple noise". It seems the screenshot was obsolete, since now that I view it on the computer, with no bugs present - it's unaffected by bugs. I don't know what this tells us, but either way, disregard the screenshot.
I was stupid and accidentally uninstalled my AMD Catalyst Program in an attempt to update the drivers. Now I cant switch to the card from the integrated Intel card. I can't restore the computer or re-install the program. When I try to re-install it, its doesn't work but there are no errors.
