My remote control (Windows 7 Vista XP Media Center MCE PC Remote Control and Infrared Receiver for Home, Premium and Ultimate Edition) doesn't work with Netflix online streaming. The pause button works fine with live tv, recorded tv, and DVD playback but not Netflix.getting the pause button to work with Netflix?

My laptop is hp pavilion dv7-1023cl and i have all windows 7 x64 drivers, and all hp services running on automatic mode, HID also. I am new to WMC and I linked my netflix account to it. While I like the fact that WMC integrates my media experience, I am very disappointed that the Netflix streaming does not have a good exit. Everytime I choose a movie to watch, it's OK, but at the end of the movie, I get a black screen. No Exit, No way to get back to the Browsing Window. Nothing. I have to Ctrl-Alt-Delete, restart WMC, and get back to Netflix.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy MCE remote has been working perfectly since the instllation of Windows 7 RC1, howeer recently it has stopped responding after reboots forcing me to uninstall the "Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver" driver from the device manager and walla, it works again. My infrared receiver is built into my machine. This behavior started about a week ago. Has anyone experienced this issue and if so have you found a solution?

Means that Fn + F2,F3 doesn't work, change from Windows Power Options doesn't work, change from intel graphic doesn't work. If I have to restart some services to get it working? It's occasional and I can't find anything exact in EventLog. My system is HP Probook 4230s with Core i5-2410 with intel HD3000. Latest patches on both Win 7 Pro 32-bit and intel driver. Restart machines solve the problem, re-hibernate or re-suspend machine occasionally solve the problem, but mostly not.

The keyboard also got a volume wheel which worked with Vista like it should: I could controle the speaker's volume by the keyboard.
Now with Win 7 I can't use the wheel anymore, even with the latest drivers.

I have 3 computers running 7600 ultimate, 2 are running x64 one is running x86. All 3 have remote streaming enabled, all 3 have the same windows live linked credential. Is there a port I need to open from the router side on my home network to allow remote streaming to function correctly? I consistently get the error ''Windows Media Player encountered a problem while downloading the playlist." when playing from a remote connection. All 3 computers are on the same homegroup also when they're at my place. Additionally all the computers dont show up for eachother in the ''other libraries'' section of WMP, they show up intermittently.

Like to watch Netflix or Xfinity TV on the computer while he's in bed. He has a large monitor and then I could get him to get the pc off the kitchen table and upstairs. I tried using google but just got hits for remotely accessing from another computer. Didn't know exactly what to search for. His HP laptop came with a remote but we've never used it.

I thought it might be the hardware at first but I switched over to Vista MCE and they work fine.
I just re-installed the OS after upgrading the MOBO and RAM 2 days ago. When I stream videos on line, I usually select the full screen option. In the past, the video would automatically take up the entire screen of the monitor. Now, even if I select 'Full Screen Mode', the task bar still shows at the bottom of the screen.This does not happen if I'm watching a DVD, only when I stream movies/videos online.
I checked my browser but didn't see any options for that sort of thing. Seems like it's a setting somewhere in Windows that needs to be changed.
I have a Vista generation WMC remote I use with my new Xbox extender and all the functions work properly except for the TV on/off & volume. I know have to use the TV remote to do these functions, the WMC control for WMC functions, and the Xbox console for Xbox on/off. Is there a way I can get this down to just one or two? From what I read, it looks like the Xbox 360 universal remote does these functions so I'm wondering why this one wouldn't...I don't need to control the Xbox functions other than turning it on.

There is a way of setting only certain remotes to work with certain PCs so they don't interfere with others. I have my HTPC and laptop in the same room, both with IR receivers - whenever I use the remote for my PC, the laptop ends up with all the signals too, and I come back to find it's playing a video or something.

I am trying to have my computer the most secure as possible. I have a firewall, antivirus, anti-malware, etc. But I was wondering is it possible to have on your computer even with an anti-virus, a malicious program that allow Remote Desktop Control access (something like ProRat trojan or teamviewer)? Because I am suspecting that someone I know could had install/changed something on my computer. I know those suspicion might not be founded but in anyway I would like to understand how it work.

I have a Windows 7 network set up and whenever I connect remotely to another computer and lock their input such as their keyboard and mouse, the remote user still has the ability to press ctrl alt del, which then allows them to use their keyboard and mouse. My question is, is it possible to disable the ctrl alt del functionality in Windows 7 so that that Blue security screen does not appear? I have tried lots of remote desktop controlling software which has the option to lock the remote computer input, but they still can press ctrl alt del and unlock their keyboard and mouse. How do I stop this?

My local system uses a brother HL-5250DN printer hooked up via a network cable (otherwards, it's not directly connected).
My remote computer was running Visa Ultimate and when I connected from home, it would see the Brother printer from the Windows 7 machine.
Since I upgraded the remote system to Windows 7, the printer is no longer seen remotely.
Any suggestions?
I am trying to remote shut down a nother computer (adn this one at the same time) I open the cmd and type shutdown -i. then i click ADD and type in the external ip then i select planned and type in a reason. when i click ok the white window closes and it says in the cmd, The enterd computer name is not valid, or remote shut down is not supported on the target computer.

Since from the site of Creative, it has only driver available for windows 7 x64, so i installed the driver. It works great, then the console can work too, but he can't starting automatically when windows boots. - i have to start the console by my-self and he can't be in tray bar (notification area) either.
Then the second thing is ... the remote doesn't work.
PS: I have used the update tool from Creative and all seem that all driver or soft is updated.
Anybody has a solution to make the remote works again in windows 7 ?
[I reinstalled Windows 7 using the Upgrade option (not clean install) but before I could do the reinstall it said I had to uninstall Ati Technologies which I could then reinstall after the upgraded Windows]I ran install for the Catalyst Softward Suite for drivers which had the CCC listed, but there is no CCC option in the install list when I run to install. It just doesn't appear! I've uninstalled ATI Catalyst Install Manager, ran Driver Sweeper in safe mode and then reinstalled but still the CCC does not appear in the list. I've also checked the Windows/Assesmbly key problem too. It's the same problem as this post: Catalyst Control Center missing/Wont install?I have a Radeon 4000 series card.

I feel like I have tried everything and still it says my credentials did not work.I am trying to set this pc up for WOL. I have activated Remote Device Access through the Control Panel and in the BIOS. I have followed through with everything to achieve waking my pc through WOL Magic Packet sending. I just can't get the Remote Desktop Connection to work to see if I can actually access the pc and get into my files.I am setting it up to be an offsite storage unit for my place of business.
