After adding my graphics card, and switching to it from intergrated my usb tablet and keyboard seem to be not detected anymore.All the drivers are installed, and they run fine on my laptop.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently updated from Vista to Windows 7. I installed all some of my old games (Victoria 2 and Mass Effect, to be specific) and neither works. I checked my graphics settings and according to the Device Manager I only have the "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter".
I know this is wrong, I've played dozens of games on Vista and never had this problems. I've been looking around some old forums, and apparently this is quite a common problem, BUT I bought my computer 2 and 1/2 years ago and I have no recorded nor can remember what exact model my graphics card is.
I seem to be in a catch 22. I need to install a driver for my PC to recognize my graphics card, but I need to be able to know what my graphics card is in order to do that, but since my computer can't detect it in the first place, I have no idea which it is. It is all quite frustrating and I just want to be able to play my games!
After reinstalling Windows 7, I've never been able to play a single video game on my computer (really defeating the purpose of an Alienware). When I try to run Unreal Tournament 2004, the error message reads CRITICAL ERROR: Please enable Direct3D acceleration. You can do this by starting dxdiag and enabling it in Display tab after installing DirectX 8.1b (or later) and latest drivers. Woohoo. So I went to dxdiag, and it says that DirectDraw Acce;, Direct3D Accel, and AGP Texture Accel are all disabled. I went to see what the graphics card is, because I forget...and Windows can't even tell me what card it is. I have no clue. Also, I can't even use the ethernet port on the computer to hard wire a internet connection; I have to use my wireless usb plug in from Netgear.

When I restarted my computer it was slow and a bit sluggish. When I started it up I had a strange occurrence where my mouse and keyboard stopped working, the mouse has a blue light on the scroll button but I was unable to move the pointer. My keyboard was completely disconnected with no functionality at all. Even when I changed it to a different USB slot it was not working/ Again, I had to turn it off via the shutdown button.

i have heard a lot of my friends saying that they are unable to play high resolution and high definition games on their pc and told that they are on a low budget to buy a graphics card.here is a solution for that:there is a software named 3-d analyzer available in the internet which acts as a virtual graphics card for playing games. you can enter the graphic card needed from the 4 available graphic cards available and then you can get the attributes of that graphic card..if fine tuned,you can play games at the range of a 128mb ram virutal graphic card on your non graphic card pc. note:graphic intensive games,that requires atleast 512mb of graphics memory can't be played through 3d analyzer if you don't have a graphic card,but you can try running it if you have a 256/128 mb card. steps for using the 3-d analyzer software, *first download the file from here, *then extract that software and open the software, *then,select the exe file of the game that you want to run, *choose the select option, *then you can choose the attributes the options you require to play the game,*the attributes may be pixel shader or disable rendering in the game or emulation or some other options specified, *then,enter the device id and the vendor id for the graphics card you need from the available graphics card on the right.*i would suggest the ati radeon 9800pro to run most of the games like fifa 08/09 or prince of persia two thrones/sands of time, *then choose the run option and then i assure that the game would run for you at a decent/playable speed. note:1.if it shows any error that a file is not found pls reinstall the software.2.if the screen turns black/blank then play with the options in the s/w, by trial and error method,if fortunate,may be,you'll be able to run your favorite game.3.if pixel shader/shader version x.x not found,then select the appropriate shader model and run the game. all the best..happy gaming..if any queries post it below.how to: use 3d analyzer video at Internet

View 9 Replies View Relatedmy usb keyboard works fine on my freind pc win7ultimate32bit, i have same os service pack 1 also installed, my usb is amkette company---better than local, Problemis that it was working grt for 5 months, but for past 3 weeks it is detected as a unknown device, it is detected sometimes as hid device and works well for 3-4 hoursbut then suddenly goes off and a popup with malfunction and unknown device appers all time, then it will never that day maybe 10 min sometime. i plug out all power cables,uninstall usb controllers tried everything on internet, some techniques work but no permanent solution. i even reinstalled windows last week no luck.It works on my freind pc., diff in my freind pc is he has intel motherboard and i have biostar a785ge everything up to date,only solution that is left is to use a ps/2 to usb convertor(i have to wait for 3 weeks).
View 8 Replies View RelatedToday, while I was deleting a file on my computer using the Shift + Del command, my computer let out one long beep, and the display (and the keyboard, and the mouse) froze. I tried to reboot, and I noticed that all 3 of the keyboard's LEDs (Num Lock, Caps Lock, Scroll Lock) are open, but my screen displayed a "No keyboard Detected, press F1 to continue" error. This error is somewhat ironic because I can't really "press F1 to continue" since, you know, my keyboard keys aren't working, but it's making me wonder what happened because even though the keyboard keys aren't working, all the keyboards LED lights are open.

Those ports are now fed by the USB 2.0 header on my MB. I would sure be nice if I could have a USB 3.0 on the front.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my P55 LE for about a month and a half now, but I just bought a 120GB OCZ Agility SSD that I want to migrate my Windows 7 install to from my 300GB HDD. I created a backup image using Norton Ghost 15.0 on a third backup drive, and restored the image to the SSD. Alas when I went to boot, I got the BOOTMGR NOT FOUND error, so I tried to reboot with the Windows 7 install DVD in the drive to fix the problem.
The DVD drive is my #1 boot priority drive, and it started right up, detected an OS error, and decided to reboot to begin the fix. Although this time, it prompted me for a "Press any key to boot from CD/DVD..." and my keystrokes were not detected. I tried several times and I could not boot from the DVD! I had issues seeing my USB mouse/keyboard when booting from Acronis TrueImage 2010 Home Trial (but weirdly, THAT had no issue with the "Press any key..." prompt).
Any suggestions? I would love to fix my Windows 7 clone and get up and running on the beautiful SSD.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy google-fu is failing me and I can't seem to find any solution before I return some of my new hardware. I just picked up and assembled the PC. I unstalled Windows 7 64 bit ultimate without any issues. As soon as I add the Ceton InfiniTV4 to any PCI-E slot, I can't get past the loading operating system.
The Ceton card works fine in my other other PC with a Gigabyte board so I am guessing it is some conflict with something on the Z68 board. This is a fresh install with only driver updates, and Windows 7 updates.
Yesterday i received my new gigabyte k8100 Aivia keyboard. The key board its self is working how ever when i go into the ghost program so i can turn the back-lights on and add some macros it, a warning message comes up: " Warning: Cant find the Device!". I just can't figure out what to do. COMPUTER: Windows 7 32 bit Toshiba laptop.

My device manager does not detect that card and I installed the driver on the CD that came with the network card. Only a wired connection with an X mark shows on my task bar.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've completed a new custom build, but have had problems with BSOD from the beginning with any installation of Intel Graphics drivers or the installation of any graphics card.
When I first completed the build, the XFX-7950 Black was installed. I booted to BIOS without issue, but when I inserted the Windows 7 (64 bit) it would boot through the windows logo screen but immediately BSOD right after going to the first install screen.
I removed the graphics card, and was able to complete the full Windows install without issue. I updated Windows and the drivers on the system but as soon as I installed the Intel 3000 Graphics driver, it would BSOD on every restart. I recovered back prior to the Graphics driver install and installed all other drivers. I updated the BIOS to the latest version.
I have reattempted the XFX 7950 multiple times in different slots, but with the same results. I also attempted my Radeon HD 4550 from my old computer but it gave the same results. It always boots through the Windows logo screen, but BSOD within a few seconds of reaching the password screen.
I broke down and installed Driver Whiz, which did detect multiple outdated drivers that I had not caught, but none of these fix the issues.
I've attached the requested zip. I don't think all BSOD's are showing up, as I've had to use recovery points after installed drivers didn't work. The last .dmp on 19 JUL was a Intel Graphics driver install attempt that I pulled off in safe mode before recovering back to the pre-driver point.

I ve been playing a lot of games without having any trouble with my graphic card .Last thing I remember is I was playing Deus Ex Human Revolution and i did finish itSome days after that while attempting to boot my pc it struggled the first 2 times ( my CPU lights have gone in 2 seconds ) then it boots successfully in the third time. My Monitor was turned on but no display .. First I think the problem might be in the VGA cable but it is not coz when i unplugged it and plug it in the default pin in the CPU, the monitor shows display .. So definitely the problem is with the graphic card . I dust cleaned it and insert it again , no breakthrough but the fan in the card is rotating . I figured that there is a mild problem in my SMPS . I ve red in an article that problems in the SMPS will affect the power supply to the video card . So the real problem is the SMPS ???? or the Graphic card

Yesterday I got a PC from a colleague once I started up the PC everything works fine, but since there was a lot of random programs on the pc, I decided to install my own version of Windows, Windows 7 Enterprise on it.When the whole installation was finished the computer started, everything worked fine. BUT the PC did not recognize the Nvidea Geforce 560ti video card. Since It worked fine before I re-installed windows, I am sure that there is nothing wrong with the cables, however I think it is a problem with the Bios configuration. (because that is what changes after a reboot right?)So, I try to change the Bios configuration to, booting both display PCU (i think) and PCI E, but this did not fix the problem.
My suggestions are; either to update the bios, but I'm not sure witch version I need.
Also, I could disable the onboard VGA standard 14mb videocard, but I did not try this because I'm afraid I will get a black screen, and I also read in different posts that the PC will automaticly re-install the standard VGA.I have been lingering around sevenforums for a while, I have always found my solutions here, but this time I'm in really big sh*t.To make things easier I will also post some information about my new PC.

the volume icon has a 'x' over it and it says no audio output device is installed. device manager doesn't list any sound cards or controllers and scanning for hardware changes doesn't fix anything. I've been searching for audio drivers until recently I found out that the drivers are useless if your pc doesn't detect your sound card. I believe the audio was working after the upgrade to Win7 but after keeping the laptop muted for a long period of time (i don't use my laptop for music or video) the audio just stopped working.
