View 2 Repliesthe volume icon has a 'x' over it and it says no audio output device is installed. device manager doesn't list any sound cards or controllers and scanning for hardware changes doesn't fix anything. I've been searching for audio drivers until recently I found out that the drivers are useless if your pc doesn't detect your sound card. I believe the audio was working after the upgrade to Win7 but after keeping the laptop muted for a long period of time (i don't use my laptop for music or video) the audio just stopped working.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI ve been playing a lot of games without having any trouble with my graphic card .Last thing I remember is I was playing Deus Ex Human Revolution and i did finish itSome days after that while attempting to boot my pc it struggled the first 2 times ( my CPU lights have gone in 2 seconds ) then it boots successfully in the third time. My Monitor was turned on but no display .. First I think the problem might be in the VGA cable but it is not coz when i unplugged it and plug it in the default pin in the CPU, the monitor shows display .. So definitely the problem is with the graphic card . I dust cleaned it and insert it again , no breakthrough but the fan in the card is rotating . I figured that there is a mild problem in my SMPS . I ve red in an article that problems in the SMPS will affect the power supply to the video card . So the real problem is the SMPS ???? or the Graphic card

I have sent in my computer to get repaired and got it back yestersay. Since then i've been trying to get it to work properly again.I can't play any of the games I used to play before I sent it in to get repaired (for example, Battlefield 3). I can start dota2 but it looks pretty messed up. My computer shows me that I have an nvidia geforce 7025 nforce 630a graphic card.Although it says in the computer description that it SHOULD have a AMD HD 6870 1GB GDDR 5. My screen isn't plugged in the graphic card, since it doesn't recieve anything from there. It is plugged directly to the motherboard. So, from what I understand the nvidia card is the integrated graphic card or am I totally wrong?Anyway, the device manager can only find the nvidia card and I cannot run any game smoothly on this computer. Before I realized this possibility I've tried to download newer drivers for the nvidia card, but it didn't help.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I just upgraded from a GTX 560 TI to a GTX 670 and now my computer can't detect my second monitor. My main monitor is plugged in via DVI while my second computer is plugged in via HDMI. I've been on nvidia control panel and tried finding my second monitor there on the "multiple monitors" section, no second monitor there either.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am experiencing print quality problems which I think is coming from the computer. The printouts I am receiving are in Windows Basic Graphics format, but I would like them to be high quality. The problem seemed to occur when I was running a software facility which was set up for printing out on to templates. A message appeared on the screen saying that Windows 7 did not support this driver and would revert to Windows Basic Graphics when printing out. I have reset my computer to the factory default but this does not appear to have done anything. The printer I am using is an Epson SX125.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm new here because I've been searching everywhere and I can't find an answerRecently, I bought and downloaded The Sims 3 Supernatural, because I'm a huge fan and have all the games. Well, after I played the first time, and shut it off, my screen resolution went really big, so I adjusted that, then I noticed that my computer has been very laggy, and it recently told me it doesn't support 'Aero effects' So, I assumed it was the game, and uninstalled it. Then I re installed it, and now it is telling me that it doesn't have a graphics card to support it. I am not very intelligent when it comes to computers, and I have no idea what to do

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy system was working fine last week until I've installed an additional SATA HDD, windows will boot up until the windows 7 logo after that its all black screen, I've waited for hours for some response to happen but nothing happened, I've reformatted it a few times with the same outcome. I've tried resetting CMOS a lot of times but to no avail. But this evening I tried taking out my Graphics card and other peripherals and then windows boot! it boots with all other accesories(wifi card, firewire etc.) and the new HDD but when I try to reinstall the Graphics card it goes back to a black screen after the windows 7 logo!! is it a case of a busted video card? if so then why does it have display? I also checked the back of the Graphics card's heatsink and it has this white paste-like goo that has hardened, should i clean it and apply new thermal paste?

Get the irony in this, I am less than a mile ( as the crow flies ) from Comcasts antennas/dishes and a quarter mile from our state police communications tower. I had to install my Radeon HD 6990M and it went smoothly..hou, Windows is telling me my graphic device is working proberly I'm still having issues with Auro and some games.I've tried troubleshooting, but all I've got was an error telling me that card doesn't support DirectX 9.0... even it has DirectX 11.0 EvolvedTypically when a pc isn't running on a graphic card you can see it by moving different Windows around, cause it leaves some kind of trail and that is exactly what happens for me atm.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently updated from Vista to Windows 7. I installed all some of my old games (Victoria 2 and Mass Effect, to be specific) and neither works. I checked my graphics settings and according to the Device Manager I only have the "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter".
I know this is wrong, I've played dozens of games on Vista and never had this problems. I've been looking around some old forums, and apparently this is quite a common problem, BUT I bought my computer 2 and 1/2 years ago and I have no recorded nor can remember what exact model my graphics card is.
I seem to be in a catch 22. I need to install a driver for my PC to recognize my graphics card, but I need to be able to know what my graphics card is in order to do that, but since my computer can't detect it in the first place, I have no idea which it is. It is all quite frustrating and I just want to be able to play my games!
