View 1 RepliesI bought a new pc with Intel i3 2120 CPU, Asus P8B75-v mainboar and 8gb DDR3 2166mhz memory. I've installed windows 7 64bit but it's not starting after the fresh install. I tried starting the computer with onboard VGA but it's looping in restarts. After testing all the components, I managed to start the computer using a discret video card. It runs fine. When I switch to integrated GPU, the sistem enters the restarting loops. I've done some check up's in BIOS and selected video mode to AUTO or GPU but no succes. I installed the latest video driver for intel 2000hd but it;s still not starting with the onboard vga.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen windows updates, it then reboots, and just hangs on the 'starting windows' screen. Only after it updates, works fine before. I've re-installed it many times, but get the same result. This never used to happen until i did this fresh installation today. Now it happens every time, just after it installs some standard updates, it wont boot up..

View 3 Replies View RelatedFor a while now I have been experiencing a strange problem. My laptop keeps changing the Windows Updates without my consent. I know this has been raised in the past but my problem is slightly different.I prefer to choose "Check for updates but let me choose whether to download or install them", however periodically the settings change without my consent to "Never check for updates".This is very frustrating as I am constantly having to keep an eye on this, and change the settings back to what they were in order to receive critical updates, or indeed any other update. The laptop was bought new just under 12 months ago and came with Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit pre-installed.Has anyone else experienced this, or can anyone advise on a fix?

View 4 Replies View RelatedDid anyone succeed in making this damn printer work properly (especially for the scan) on a fresh install of 7-64bits? Despite installing the latest driver from Canon for 7-64 bits (here: PIXMA MP520 /MP drivers 64 bits (1.01)) I can't get the scan working properly. For me it looks like only the generic driver from Seven is installed properly, allowing me to print but nothing else (the miniature picture from my printer indeed appears as a generic printer). Any idea?
When I install the program from Canon (MP Navigator), it says on launch that the driver is not setup...
I uninstall/reinstall several times, disabled UAC and close all apps including Kaspersky but still stuck there.
Well, I've been trying to install this for a long time and I don't seem to finnish it. The installation shows a "did not install" message. I've searched through the internet about solutions and found in my pc a ie9_main.log that shows everything about the installation.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I had ONLY 4 gigs RAM, will I be better off with 32 or 64 bits? I'm leaning towards 64 bit to be more future-proof. But will this also make every application use twice as much memory as before? Something like registers using twice as much data? With 6+ gigs, 64 bit is the only choice, but with 4 gigs I don't have a clear answer.

Answer:-
Xerox does not support Vista, give up on Win7. Have you considered running a virtual machine of XP on your Win7 box?
Xerox don't have any Vista or W7 drivers, but this site do have Vista x64 drivers that should work under W7.

I removed (?) all the bloatware and software I did not wanted to use that came with my Toshiba laptop! Ex: McAfee, Nero, I removed via Control Panel/Uninstall programs! But I know that almost all the time, there are still "bits" of those sw that remain in the computer! My question: how can I remove all those "bits"? For example I saw that somewhere in the Registry (via regedit) there was (still) some McAfee and Nero folders!!! Is it safe to delete those?
