View 1 RepliesBeen pulling my hair out for a few days trying to solve an unidentified network problem with my Marvell Yukon 88E8052 . Tried all the fixes I found on the web and nothing worked. I finally did an ipconfig all and noticed the MAC address reported was totally bogus (something like F0-00-00-00-00-00). I went into adapter settings - advanced tab and configured the network name (MAC address) manually. As soon as I did that windows recognized the network and asked what type it was. I've been golden ever since.

nothing can be done to the system at that time.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was browsing my Event Viewer when I ran across a series of Event 101 errors, all re: the Marvell Yukon 88E8001/8003/8010 PCI Gigabit Ethernet Controller. There would be a series of identical errors, 6-8 in a row, all with the same time stamp. They repeated once a day, sometimes twice, going back weeks. I never noticed a problem with my Internet connection.
I have a wired cable connection. The power has been going out frequently, because of storms. Could that cause the error messages?
I'm using a Marvell Yukon 88E8053 Gigabit adapter. When I installed 7 and logged in for the first time, my ethernet did not work. I had to use a USB drive to get drivers to install it. So, I get it installed and working and then I add the PC to my domain, log in with a domain user and it cant even find the DC to authenticate to!
I log back in with the user on the workgroup and find that the ethernet is not working. I look under device manager and the "Network Adapters" node is not even there! I try to install the Marvell adapter and ony Intel adapters are listed. When I try to "Add Legacy Device" and use the drivers for my Marvell, it won't even display a list to choose a model from, so at this point I'm pulling my hair out. I reboot, log in with the worgroup user and the network card shows up; OMG.
At this point I can finally log in with the domain user. I'm installing a bunch of software and I finally stop and let the system lock the computer. I come back, log in and guess what, no stinkin adapter; not even in device manager. Looks I have to reboot every time this happens. I just set the power options to High Performance, so hopefully I can get past this issue for now.
Anyone else having this problem?
My system is slow to load and no real problem with using the internet. It's just when I play BF3 online my system crashes hard sometimes and powers off or I get real slow fps/ freezes up and I have to shut down the pc to get out. Windows tells me the hd controllers driver (Marvell) is not compatible with windows 7, that everything is bottle necking at the controller and suggests I go to the OEM site for an updated, compatible driver. No luck there. No driver and they claim that hd is compatible with Win 7. The hd is a Western Digital, WD 5000 AADS, 500 gig, 32 mb SATA 3. End of the road? Do I have to buy a new hd that has drivers that are compatible with windows 7?

The problem lies in Windows keeps telling me that the current driver isnt compatible and to go to Marvel for more current drivers/software , yet when I go there there is not 1 single download available (that I can find) to correct this issue.

Just built this machine. Installed Windows 7 on the 500GB drive. Both drives are plugged into the blue SATA 6GB ports on my board. My drivers for these controllers are Marvell 91xx SATA 6G v1.2.0.1002 (Dated 3/7/2011). The second 2TB drive shows up in BIOS as well as Drive Management in Windows, but it will not be recognized as an accessible drive that can be formatted, partitioned, or anything. I get an error each time I attempt to format or partition through Drive Management. When I plug the 2TB drive into one of the other (black, Intel) SATA ports, the drive works fine, but in the blue ports it just won't seem to work. The 500GB drive, however, works perfectly as the boot disk in these ports.
Intel D975XBX2 Marvell SATA driver needed for Windows 7
Installed Windows 7 (62 bit) onto Intel D975XBX2 ATX Motherboard.
I can not get windows to recognize the SATA drives attached to the internal Marvell card.
BIOS see the drives, just not windows.
Attempted to install both Windows XP 64 and Vista 64 Intel drivers (STOR_allOS_8.7.0.1007_PV), but the install fails with "system does not meet the minimum requirements)
Any Ideas?
I am using an Asus P6T Deluxe V2 motherboard and Windows 7 Professional. I am having a problem with my external (esata) disk drive being recognized by the OS. It used to work and now it don't?? During boot up I see the drive in the bios messages on my screen. Also when I look in device manager it shows the drive and says this device is working properly. However, when I click on "computer" its not there and no software program such as backup finds the drive either. I have tried uninstalling the drive in device manager and then rebooting. No luck? I am not sure when it quit working or why. Its not the drive as I have tried more than one and they are recognized when used in the USB port. I have uninstalled the Marvell 61xx RAID controller in the device manager also but no change?

View 7 Replies View RelatedWell, I was messing around and thought I would test out the Vista beta 182.06 drivers vs. the drivers you get through Windows Update. All I did was run a demo in Team Fortress 2 in with both drivers. Also my gfx card is a 7800gt, so this might not apply to newer cards.
Of course take this with a grain of salt, especially for newer systems, but if you have an older pc, and are running with the 182.06 or maybe Vista drivers in general, try using the Windows Update drivers again. I know which one's I will be using from now on.
I just finished building my PC. I read in many places in Internet about drivers updates and they all say I shouldn't update my driver from the CD provided from the manufacturer but from Internet and install them in a USB flash drive. So that's what I did, I installed my BIOS current driver and other MOBO drivers in my USB flash drive. However, I don't know now how to update my drivers without the CD's. I would like some help on how to update all my drivers (my PC is completly new) using a USB flash drive.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI actually don't have a problem with drivers, but in how windows detects hardware and finds appropiate drivers. Because sometimes I have many computers at a time to fix, I wondered if there was a way in which windows 7 can be forced to update every installed driver in the system at once, this because when windows 7 is installed, it installs outdated (but working) drivers for some devices. Generally, I don't install drivers by double clicking them, but rather by extracting them (exe's) and then making windows find them, I do this because doing so, prevents most of the time, the installation of unwanted applications. Now, I know I can update each driver individually using the device manager, but this could take very long depending on the machine. I would like windows (on a clean installation), to uninstall ALL of the drivers, including chipset, video, audio, etc, and then look for them in a specific folder, say C:ew_drivers (where all new extracted drivers are).
View 4 Replies View Relatedok over the past month or so I have been trying to solve a problem with my Windows 7 installation (build 7232.0.1md64fre.winmain.0980610-1900)
after a fresh install I had to find the smu drivers for my biostar MB and windows installed it's own video driver 8.15.11.8585 dated april 09. the gfx card is a 9800GTX+ has the bios 62.92.56.0.6.
now since then I haven't been able to install any of nvidias driver updates and windows own driver update for my my gfx card, what happens is I install the driver then my system reeboots and as the driver loads after reeboot I simply get a blue screen error
I have tried various methods of unninstalling the drivers first and also using "drivercleaner.net" and also unninstalling my antivirus but none of these make any difference I still get the blue screen error "System_Service_Exception" stop 0x0000003B etc etc file mentioned is "nvlddmkm.sys"
now I can continue to use the OS by going into safe mode and removing the driver and letting windows install the default driver, but the tweaker in me is determined to get to the route cause of this problem
Is this something specific to this build or do I have a corrupted driver file somewhere or is there something simple I need to do with possibly the registry.
I have to format my Pc but I would like to know if all the drivers update I need (especially chipset, audio and video card) will be shown with windows update:[CODE]
View 3 Replies View RelatedI remember a few years back, when I used Windows XP, that driver updating was sort of troublesome -- sometimes you had to completely remove the older version of the driver to install the newer, and so on.
But.. once I installed Vista, I never really had to deal with that. My NVIDIA drivers always updated properly without uninstalling them first.
Now, I hear people still using programs that entirely erase all traces of a previous driver.. why do they still use those? I don't believe you have to use them anymore to update drivers..
If you install, for example, the latest NVIDIA driver -- the installer erases the previous driver from your system, then installs the new driver.
I think people are living in the past when I hear: "I'm uninstalling my current drivers right now, then I'm gonna run a sweeper to erase all traces of it. Then I have to reboot, and install the updated driver. Then reboot again."
Uninstalled and reinstalled my Radeon graphics card driver and during this I downloaded the DriverTuner "free" programme. It detected (surprise, surprise) over 30 out of date drivers.Has anyone used this - is it worth registering for?terestingly I ran it after I reinstalled my graphics driver and it's recognised it but says there are problems still. This is interesting as I've been having the occasional crash with it (hence the uninstall/reinstall of it)
