I never had trouble with my usb mouse, but now im getting the "usb not recognized". How do i fix that? Theres no drivers for this mouse. Ive red somewhere to turn off the pc and take the battery out and stuff like that, but it seems like magic.
View 1 RepliesToday I pugged in my iPod shuffle in my Toshiba Satellite laptop. Soon afterwards I removed it. Ever since my USB mouse is not being recognized by Windows. It was plugged in all this time. I tried uninstalling the USB drivers and re-booting, replacing with a different mouse.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn my new Acer M7720 (X58 Core-i7-920) I have Vista HP 64 bits working fine with an Conceptronic 2 port KVM switch so I can also use keyboard, mouse & monitor on my old PC. On the new Acer I also installed Windows 7, but here the mous and keyboard are not recogized when connected through the KVM switch.
I have to stick both in the front site USB ports, then baoth are working. When I stick them in the KVM switch, you can here the USB connect sound and both devices are shown under unknown devices, wereas the are shown under devices when connected through the front side USB ports.
Any one an idea how to salve this? by the way the KVM switch is also 'seen' by Windows 7 under devices even though it doens't need any drivers. All conncected devices are shown (I have also 2 USB drives)
Today I started my PC, and everything was fine until I tried to move my mouse pointer. I don't know what's wrong because everything else from the mouse works perfectly fine, right/left click, in browser back/next (I'm using a r.a.t. 5 mouse). I tried reinstalling its software, and also tried different mice. Still only clicks are recognized, no movement.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI rebooted my machine the other night and when it came back on, my Logitech EX 100 mouse and keyboard were non-functional.
They (the keyboard, at least) work in bios, when the adapter is plugged into my laptop, both devices work flawlessly, just on my main machine, it's a no-go. This is maddening.
I downloaded the newest Setpoint version from Logitech to no avail, I've disabled and uninstalled all of these usb devices in my device manager, and tried the adapter in every usb port (there are 12) on my motherboard. All other usb devices work fine.
Sometimes I am getting the message USB device not recognized when my mouse sticks. I don't know how to check my usb drivers. I am running windows seven. I don"t have another device to try in the USB ports.

Just built a new system today, components seem to be working fine. Popped in the 64bit install disk and...can't proceed past the first page of the installation because my keyboard and mouse are not showing up.I thought it might have been the usb ports, but the peripherals show up and work fine when I boot into UEFI. The mouse is a Coolermaster Storm Spawn, and I'm trying to use a Razer Black Widow keyboard.I did a google search,o remedy this.[CODE]
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Zotac 570 gtx connected via HDMI cable to my Asus VE258 LED monitor.I've had this video card and monitor setup working before with the exact cable, card and monitor.Something changed in my system where the monitor is no longer recognized for what it is. When i go into my Nvidia control panel under change resolution 1.Digital Display, 2. DVI-PC Display - Resolution 1080p 59 Hz. There is no DVI cable plugged into the computer and the monitor is set on HDMI input. When i go to my Audio playback devices, the HDMI connection does not show up at all, even as disabled or disconnected.When i go to play a game (Diablo 3, Skyrim, Farcry2) The game either doesn't open (skyrim) giving me the error that resolution is not recognized (but then does not give me any resolutions to choose from in the options menu) or will play (Diablo 3) but is stuck on extremely low resolutions with only 2 options.
Here's what i've done. Contacted Zotac and had them send me the most recent drivers for the video card. Uninstalled originals and re-installed the new ones. Contacted Asus (they say its not the monitor as long as its set on HDMI input) I am unable to find a driver that will make my computer (Windows 7) recognize the monitor for what it is. Zotac failed after their attempt with the driver and told me to RMA the card. So i did... i waited a month.
My computer qwill freeze for a few seconds followed by system lag which seems to get worse (freezing every few seconds/taking 2 seconds to recognise a click etc.). If i reset my computer it resolves the issue but i was hoping you guys may be able to give me more insight as to what the issue may be.It nearly always happens when i am browsing in firefox. Have never had it happen to me during gaming etc. which is why i'm hesitant to believe it is to do with my GPU or it's drivers which are always kept up to date.i have included pics of the cursor and what processes were running at the time of the freeze/lag
View 9 Replies View RelatedLately I have been having an annoying problem with my wireless mouse. For some reason the pointer will lag, and be very sluggish and jumpy. I've had this mouse on this computer for about a year and I've had no problem. Out of nowhere this problem is happening. I've tried re installing drivers with no luck. I tried uninstalling intellipoint and re-installing it, but when I tried I got the BSOD, and then it completely disabled my mouse and keyboard so I had to use wired peripherals to go in to safe mode and do a system restore. Now everything is working again, except my mouse is still jumpy.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI probably spilled some coffee on the keyboard and now I can not inactivate the mouse pad in favor of the external mouse. The only way I can eliminate the conflict is to uninstall the mouse pad. That works fine but every time I reboot for something I have to uninstall it again. As you know rebooting is common and therefore I have to reboot twice for every time I have to reboot. Anyone with a solution to this problem? This is a HP laptop. The mouse automatically installs everytime I have to reboot. I do not shut down normaly.

Biggest problem I am facing is the mistaking of the wheel with mouse 1. Some times when I am browsing the net and i have to scroll, and generally every time I move my mouse fast, it automatically presses the wheel. The problem is that since its reading two mice the one i have been using forever has stopped working right.ouble Click is disabled and it moves extremely fast. I go to disable the HID Mouse and everything is working fine again. But when the computer restarts it seems to reinitalize the HID Mouse. So i uninstalled the driver for it. Next reboot it was back again and this time the headset wasnt even plugged in. I am not getting any error messages in my device manager but i cant seem to get the HID mouse to disappear. Whenever i plug anything into the USB port even if its a Thumb drive the mouse comes back.

When I plug it into my hub nothing.I tried unplugging the hub from the computer and plugged it back in to see if it would reinstall itself but windows does not detect it.

Upon checking the internet I found that a probable cause was linked to power supply....not spinning HD fast enough to boot so I uprated to 500W... and as the computer leads were all out I took the opportunity of putting in an extra 2 Gb RAM (New and checked with Crucial as being compatible)Total 4Gb RAM Install went well.... and boot up took a fraction of the time! The extra RAM was recognised Total 4Gb, initially the Windows theme played.... then...... unable to start - blue screen re Graphics card - started in safe mode... download drivers.... Then graphics OK.... but No Audio - download new driver for Gigabyte MB..... checked Graphics card in Device Manager - Not working Code 32! I thought there must be an issue with the graphics card so I purchased and installed another. I also removed the extra 2Gb of RAM. I performed a clean install of Windows 7.... Graphics card working and drivers downloaded.... Brilliant ! Then I re installed the 2Gb RAM.... switched on nothing but a long beeeeeep foloowed by another.... followed by another .... I turned off the power, removed the 2Gb RAM and the computer booted fine! So I can deduce that the graphics card works OK (the old one probably did too!) and the 4Gb RAM is OK.... just that the 4Gb of RAM and the Graphics card do not like to work together?

I then have to switch users at the start menu and then no more pop up and I do have administrative capabilities.I am not that computer savy but I dont think this is normal. Other than the guest account(which is off), I am the only user. I have been through the control panel inside out and upside down. I am listed as the administrator for sure, in a group, not a domain. I also turned off the password requirement.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThere are times when it is not being recognized by Windows 7(pro). It has three interface options (fire wire, esata, and USB). I have tried all three at one time or another, finally settling on the eSATA interface. When it IS recognized, it runs smoothly, with no hiccups. But when I try to shut down the PC, sometimes it hangs up on the shut down screen for a long time (more than 15 minutes at times) until I actually press the on/off button on the My Book. When I do this, my PC immediately shuts down, but then, if I start up my PC, Windows does not see it again. I then have to power the My Book back on, then power up the PC and hope that it is recognized again. It�s not a big issue, because it is not frequently used, except for storing back-ups. It�s just something that is a nuisance. I�m not even sure that it is a Windows problem, because sometimes it is not detected in BIOS. why it is intermittently being detected and why it is hindering the shut-down process?

My computer is an ASUS CG5270, Specs: Core 2 Quad @ 2.4 GHZ,8 gigs ram, 750GB hard drive. I tried going into the device manager and uninstalling everything under "USB", and then restarting and replugging everything in..no luck. I found some Fix for Windows 7 SP1...no luck. Whenever I go into the Device Manager, there are two ports ( I think they're ports) listed as "Enhanced", with the rest as "Universal". I keep getting errors when I plug in my external HD that "this device could perform faster". (I also get another message telling me that the drive needs to be formatted, but it works anyway). I also get a "this device could perform faster" with my webcam, as well...
