Today I was going to move my gamer profile from my XBOX onto a USB, and after that, I tried loading it onto my computer, and it said:"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"Pretty sure it is a driver problem, but I've searched all over google for my same problem, and returned nothing.

Issue: The old build has an OEM license, so I can not directly transfer it to the new motherboard. I need a way to transfer my data, but not the license.
Bonus Question: Can I do a fresh install of the OEM W7 license on the old computer so I can sell it?
For some reason, I am no longer able to play MKV files through WMC on my 360.
The error message it's giving me is:
Cannot play Video,
The file type is not recognized and cannot be played. Either the correct codec (a file that compresses/decompresses audio or video) is not installed or the file is corrupt.
It used to play fine when I had installed K-lite codec pack as well as Divx direct show filters.
However, I had bad ram and had to re-install Windows 7 and since then, playing MKV movies on my 360 through WMC does not work!
Any suggestions?
I've un-installed all the codec packs like Divx and k-lite, still not working.
Is there any way to use 2 XBOX 360 Controllers for Windows and 2 XBOX 360 Wired headsets at the same time in a game on the same PC? I have tried and both headsets are working properly independently but was just hoping to get them both outputting sound primarily with both microphones recording as the secondary priority.

I'm so tired of this error that I could I throw my computer down the window. So the thing is I'm trying to share my mobile connection from my computer to my xbox (which has worked before without any problems) but now when I click on properties on my mobile connection on the share tab to check the "allow sharing" box this error: 0x80004005 along with "undefined error" comes up. How I could want to share mobile connection to the xbox when it's only going to lag, it will not, it works like a dream when it chooses to work..

I essentially want the best possible stuff I can get but I would never dare overclock my stuff.I've looked at the ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z as supposedly being the best motherboard out there... for overclockers.It being so highly rated all around draws me to it, but also hear very great things about various other ASUS types, like ASUS p8Z68 which are basically just as good as the Maximus IV Gene-Z, but without overclocking or some additional features I won't use.
So being that I basically want a computer twice as fast as my ass, what would be a good personalized recommendation for me with regards to motherboards?
I have had this sound card now for about 3 years. Everything worked fine with XP sp2 along with my old Logitech Z-560(THx) 4.1 speaker setup. Ever since I upgraded to Win7x64 it seems to not like this new card for whatever reason. I uninstalled the Xp drivers, and I disabled onboard sound in the bios. I even tried the latest beta driver on the Creative website. Nothing seems to work for my issue. The issue is that the rear speakers work, but they act as another somewhat muted front, and not a rear speaker. In the Creative Console Launcher, the rear speakers don't make any sound at all when testing channels.Also, the card stutters a bit during gameplay. More noticeably so during older games like CS Source. It will pause the graphics for 1/2 a second during a sound about once every 4-5 minutes (sometimes more often).I have been using 2.1, or stereo just fine, but I would like to use those rear speakers! Of note, the Logitech Z-560 speakers only have a green and black connection both are plugged in.

"The User Profile Service service failed the log in. User Profile cannot be loaded".
I was able to log in on an other user account and ran system restore and the account was repaired.
Any ideas on what happened?

The last program that I was messing with was VMware Workstation.
The sound drivers intermittently do not load. It is listed in Device Manager under Other Devices as Multimedia Audio Controller when it does not load at boot. I have to turn off the computer and boot again until it loads. This is a clean install and not sure what is not right.

I have a problem in explorer that whenever I move a folder into another folder, explorer prompts:
Could not find this item
[Try Again] [Cancel]
If I click cancel, nothing will happen, the operation is cancelled.
If I click Try Again, the operation will proceed, the folder will move.
This isn't really a problem, but a HUGE nuisance.

so I was on my desktop main account and then let my dad log on to a guest account I recently created for him since his laptop isn't working, then when I came back I logged onto my profile I couldn't open any browser, in the case of firefox this came up (firefox can't load host something, missing profile) and chrome (your preferences cannot be read)
then I couln't open some shorcuts (windows cannot find the target. and my utorrent setting reset as well, like if I had never used it, BUT the guest account works perfectly.
I'm able to open firefox with open as administrator but all addons, bookmarks are gone, I can't open the document, picture, and music links on the start menu either
For the past 2 months, i have had re-occurring issues with logging onto my computer (windows 7 64 bit) and getting the error message 'you have been logged on with a temporary profile'. It got the the point where this was happening nearly every time i switched on, and had to do a system restore to get the computer working again. i spent hours reading forums and trying to fix the problem, but nothing worked with my limited computer knowledge. So i finally caved in and wiped the whole computer and have reinstalled everything. How do i stop this happening again. I have turned off windows automatic updates as it was mentioned it may be caused by an automatic update-is this advisable?

View 3 Replies View Relatedi recently got a computer from my aunt, and decided to put windows 7 on it. Before I installed it, I put in a Geforce 8800 graphics card and a (2nd) cd rom drive. After 20 failed attempts to install windows 7 (it kept freezing at the completing installation part) it worked after i disconnected the new graphics card and one of the hard drives. Now, however, i keep on getting periodic blue screens with the following error messages : Memory Management, and PFN_List Corrupt. I ran a memory diagnostic and it said that the memory is fine. Originally I had all my data files in drive D and only programs in drive C. Somehow my old user profile got corrupted and the Backgound wall paper is not working properly. So I created a new admin profile to fix it but now I have a mess.After I created a new admin profile and moved the old users folder/files to the new user , I decided to delete the old profile after everything seems to be working properly . When deleting the old profile I elected to save old user files to my desktop ( fortunately) . I now have a very fragmented system . Some of the folder/files are still under my old username in D drive, nothing in my new user name in D drive plus almost all of the folder/files from the old user ( in drive D) are now in a folder on the desktop where windows elected to place them when I elected to save the folders/files. I really need all the old user folders.I would like to have the Data in either under my old or new username in Drive D instead of fragmented all over the place. I realize I ended up in this situation because I didnt understand fully what windows will do when creating and deleting user profiles.

This just started happening a few days ago and I can't seem to determine why? I also cannot seem to run the perfmon report as my system won't stay running long enough to generate it and I can't seem to run the report tool from safe mode.

View 4 Replies View RelatedYesterday when I got home I could not get my headset working on my PC. It's a USB headset (Tritton AX720) but it works perfectly on my Xbox 360. There is sound coming from the headset but it is really quiet. My speakers to my computer work fine, it's just when I plug the headset in I'm not getting sound. I was working on it for about an hour last night and I can't figure out what is wrong with it. So far I've tried to make it my default audio device, I did a system restore to a few days ago, and messed with the setting a little bit. This headset has worked on my PC for about 6-8 months up until yesterday. By the way my audio for my computer is still working perfectly. It is only when I plug my headset in that it isn't working properly. I'm completely lost on what is wrong.
