View 2 RepliesI have recently been having a few problems with my graphics card running at a high temperature so i read a few things online on how to clean it and then i did so. Now when i start up my computer normally "start windows normally" i get blue screen and the computer re-starts. When i run dxdiag it says i have no graphics card so im not really sure if its broken or if i have re installed it incorrectly.

View 9 Replies View Relatedso I have a low profile Dell computer in the living room hooked up to an LG LCD TV. It did have an ATI graphics card which used the PCIe slot, and a USB stick for wireless internet. The wireless stick wasn't working great so I've just got a wireless card installed, however it also uses PCIe and there is only one slot. As the computer is not being used for games, the wireless card is much more valuable to have in the slot. When I had the ATI card in there though I could use CCC to adjust the screen over slightly (there is about an inch cut off on the left side of the screen). It is not a spanning/stretching issue, merely just needs a nudge to the left and it will all be good.I have just installed Intel Control Center, but when I click on monitor/tv settings it says that they are not supported. There is no option to adjust this in the Windows 7 display options either, so I'm not quite sure what else to try.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I installed the Windows Seven RC x64 today on my desktop machine after having a great experience on my notebook.
Most things worked out just fine, but the onboard raid controller is giving me alot of trouble (I got two hard disks connected there, should be raid0?), my mainboard is a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 an this is SiSoft Sandras report on my disk controllers:
Browsing this forum I found severel interesting posts, for example I tested the drivers of Driver and I tried the mainboard drivers for Vista in compatibility mode, but nothing works. I also looked for the "ITE IT8212 ATA RAID Controller" drivers directly, but there was nothing concerning Windows Seven. After that I tried the Released: Intel Chipset Software 9.1.1.1014 but that still did not solve anything.
I purchased motherboard with the manufacturer number of MB.G0409.005 (MB.G0409.005 GATEWAY MOTHERBOARD DESKTOP BOARD SOCKET AM2) on 2/3/12. I had put it into my system and then proceeded to install upgrades from the Gateway website. I saw there was a BIOS update (file: 924G1P11.ROM) available so I tried to update my BIOS. Well, after updating my BIOS with the .ROM file that I had gotten from their website [URL], but after that, the on board ATI graphics adapter is no longer working. I tried to contact Gateway with no luck and them telling me that they don't recommend updating the BIOS. I also tried to contact the place where I purchased the motherboard from and they said that they didn't have the original .ROM. The motherboard is also not listed on the Foxconn website either. I am running Windows 7 x64 Build 7601 and I have also tried using a Ubuntu 12.04 LTS live USB and that did not work as well. As far as I can tell, the BIOS will not even recognize it. I am now currently using a NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 graphics card that is plugged into the 16x PCI-E slot. I have found modified .ROM files that someone had done for this motherboard, but I don't want to risk it. And every forum and post I've come across has dead links to ones that someone has made a copy of the .ROM file and uploaded from their motherboard.
My system is a Gateway DX4300-15e with 6 gb's of DDR2 RAM (originally 8 gb's of RAM, but a 2 gb stick blew out from a power surge, hence why I had to get a new motherboard) with a AMD Phenom II x4 970 Black Edition Deneb 3.5GHz Socket AM3 processor.
I have an Alienware m14x, and I just learned today that I wasnt using my Graphics processor that I got with the laptop.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was in the middle of playing skyrim when the screen went black, and came up with a message "not support" which only happens when the computer goes to sleep. I rebooted and the screen turned green and fuzzy, when trying to start windows normally, right after the windows boot logo (which can't be recognized but the text can) the screen goes black and doesn't go any further. My b/f thought it *might* be just the new graphics card he had installed 3 days ago, so I removed it. No change.
I tried to start up in safe mode (loaded completely to the desktop), and that worked but everything is still green and fuzzy. After about 2 minutes in safe mode, the screen will cut to black for a few seconds, come back to the desktop, back and forth. My next thought was heat, everything is running perfect and nothing is hot. This computer was upgraded last week; Windows 7 Ultimate, the ram, motherboard, and graphics card are brand new. Processor is a year old, and the power supply is roughly 2 years.
All hardware specifications that I know are on my profile. All parts were bought from newegg. There is no POST coding (beeps) so there doesn't seem to be loading problems. Maybe CPU problems? But I would figure it wouldn't start at all on safe mode, if the processor was out, or can it slowly go out? I've never came across a problem like this, there have been times the green fuzzy screen would happen at the very beginning of starting up, but would clear up within 2 seconds. I've already been looking at new processors if that's the problem.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy computer is getting really hot lately (CPU can get to 96C/~200F), and I have some weird bugs as well. I have an HP pavilion laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate.
Some of the bugs are when SOMETIME I'm trying to delete a big file, it says "discovering..." but doesn't delete anything. When I open certain folders the green bar at the top just keeps on loading and loading even after all the previews of pictures/videos are done. Sometimes it doesn't even show the previews of some pictures/videos (and it did show without a problem in the past). It also happened to me that I opened the control panel, and I couldn't see anything (usually when the temp are really high and the fan is on max). After restarting my computer everything turned back to normal, but then it happens again...
For an antivirus I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials and for anti-malware I'm using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.
I dual boot windows 7 and vista on my rf1 asus tablet, but when ever i use windows7 for a while my tablet heats up and starts going wild. On windows vista however it runs ok. (just a bit slow)
Any ways i can fix this or does anyone know an email of Microsoft ? I can hear the laptop from another room, thats how loud it is when running on 7+It smells like heat.
I think ill just go back to xp.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble installing the drivers for a Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller in Windows 7 on a Gateway/Motion Computing M1300 tablet.
Before you say "DriverMax" please note that Windows 7 is the only operating system installed on the tablet. I hope there's another way to get it working.
Here's the thing that strikes me as odd: I have gotten it to work perfectly, but as soon as I restart it goes back to its old ways (default VGA controller driver, etc).
Here's what I do to get it working:
1) I run the setup file that came with the driver I downloaded from Intel (version 14.19.50), either natively or in Windows XP compatibility mode,
2) The setup software asks me to restart, and I comply
When the computer boots back up after those steps everything is working just fine, BUT then a Windows prompt appears telling me that I need to restart in order to complete the driver configuration. When I restart hardware once again has trouble.
My real problem with not having the correct driver installed is not that display functions are lost (though they are), but that the Hibernate and Stand By modes are disabled.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a way to keep Windows 7 from reverting to the old driver?
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (Build 7000) on an lenovo pc (Intel Pentium 4 - 2.8GHz, 2.00 GB RAM). my pc's actual graphics card is "Intel 82865G Graphics Controller" but windows 7 loads it as "standard VGA graphics card" which gives me a very very bad video quality but computer works great. HOWEVER,when i update video graphics back to my "Intel 82865G Graphics Controller" & play any video, the video quality is excellent & direct 3d & hardware acceleration starts working contrary to "standard VGA graphics card" but gives major computer operation problems. For e.g., As soon as i resize my VLC interface or run any other media players (like powerdvd or windows media players etc), the computer either gets stuck/hung or it shows a blue screen message saying "disable bios memory such as caching or shadowing" OR "page_fault_in_nonpaged_area" & lots of other explorer based problems.i tried changing various 3d settings in opengl as well, but in vain.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWith Windows XP SP3 I was able to transmit audio which was digital and sometimes multi-channel to my Denon reciever through the HDMI output on my motherboard; I was also able to simultaneoulsy display my computer through that same HDMI connection through my Denon reciever and on to my my Toshibe LCD TV.But when I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit the HDMI audio was very limited (only 16 bit 2-channel @ 48,000 Hz) and can only select it when the reciever is on (which makes sense, but it's anoying to have to go into sound properties and switch to HDMI if I started the computer before the reciever, I hate technology trying to pretend it knows what I want it to do, it should just be able to do what it's told.) Then, when I turn on the TV this message comes up (which I would see when I was using XP but it didn't change anything)An HDMI-to-DVI display connection has been detected. In order to hear audio on your HDMI based TV or display, you will need to have a seperate audio conecction from you computer sound outputs to your TV or audio equipment. However I'm not using the DVI at all I just want to use the HDMI into HDMI because that's the way it's supposed to work because HDMI is supposed to handle both and I shouldn't need to use another cord when I'm already using one that does both. And so then my sound no longer works but my computer shows on my TV.Whoopdee doo! why can't I have both. HDMI is supposed to support both and when computer/motherboard/OS manufacturers put these technologies on computers you'd think they should commit to applying them flawlessly the way they were intended to be used.I understand this may be a driver issue and I've tried many combinations of the newest & the just HDMI Realtek Driver as well as the Gigabyte mother board drivers and the appropriate ATI/Catalyst driver/downloads.
