May 15, 2011I use High Contrast Black as my theme. In the past, when I would print a document, it would print normally, i.e., black text on a white background. Some time ago, tho, my printer began to print the document as white print on a black background! But here is the strange thing: if I copy and paste my text to Notepad and print, it prints normally as black on white. Both Word 2010, Jarte, and Wordpad will NOT print normall, and I cannot find settings to change this behavior. Please note that to the best of my knowledge, I did NOT change any settings to cause this printing anomaly to begin. HOw can a person using the High Contrast BaBlack teheme arrange it so that documents print out normally, black text on the white sheet of paper?

When I select part of the text (in a word document, for instance) the selected text is highlighted with white background color. Is it possible to change the background color and the font color of the selected text?
It seems that changes made to the "Window" colors in the "Windows Color" dialog (accessible from personalization), have an impact on those colors which leads to the conclusion that those colors are computed based on those settings. I'm asking whether there is an option to modify selected text colors while still using black background and white text.

Apr 4, 2012my monitor exhibited signs of flickering during start-up, but only minor ones and would just stop at the 'Welcome' screen of windows so I didn't give it much thought. Iv'e been using it with the cpu the same time I bought the monitor.But after some time, the flickering got worse. It went from 1-2 second interval flickers to a whole 10 seconds of blackness before it showed anything.Now,Iv'e got a new cpu but still using the old monitor. After a day or so, the monitor exhibited the first symptoms of my first cpu, so I just dismissed it. But after a week, It got a hell worse, before I even start-up my computer, the monitor doesn't show Analog/Digital at the top-left corner of the screen. PLUS my cpu keeps restarting after I pushed the ON button after 10 seconds or so. Is the monitor responsible for the restart and what could be the reason for the flickering?

Jul 23, 2012Recently i have been having extremely high ping rates to any website i try to ping. Normally i run ping [URL] -t well my results constantly run over 100ms ping times while all of the rest of the computers on my network run around 40ms ping time. I have determined that it must have something to do with my computer. Here is a list of everything i have tried:
-Reinstall network card drivers (had no effect)
-Scan my computer with msert, Security essentials, spybot S&D (no results)
-Plugging a different computer into the same network cable (other computer worked fine)
-Boot in safe mode (had no effect, still getting bad ping times)
I ran Hijackthis and here are the results:

Greenpower 1TB
The only problem is, it runs very slowly in some applications such as Firefox and Minecraft. I've installed all drivers listed on the MSI website as well as my GPU drivers. Still no luck. I've installed Steam, microTorrent, Microsoft Security Essentials, Java (x64), Adobe Flash, and Adobe Reader X.

Mar 22, 2011I just installed windows 7 ultimate sp1 - Like the title says I'm seeing 35% cpu usage with nothing going on. I googled around and ran traces to see which driver it was, turned out the ahci driver was doing it. The USB driver showed similarly high latency but that can be delt with later. Most forums recommend upgrading your drivers but this problem has stayed constant both with microsoft's stock drivers for everything and after running windows built in search for drivers even after I manually grabbed the latest drivers for everything. url...BIOS is up to date4 GB RAM - Corsair something or otherEVGA Geforce 8800 GT450W psu1 DVD burner (sata)5 hard drives (sata) plugged into all but the first sata port because that caused nothing but headaches for me. Update - switching from AHCI to IDE in BIOS fixed the problem.

Aug 12, 2012I had only used it for a day and then the next day it wouldn't even turn on. I have tried everything that I can think of to fix it. From unplugging it and plugging it back in, changing out the power cord with a different one, trying to plug it into a different location in the house, turning the surge protector on and off, etc. I opened the side up and everything seemed to be in place and nothing was obviously unplugged. We do have a warranty but when we called we got put on hold for an hour + and gave up. We will probably call them again Monday I just wondered if there was something else that I should try before calling it quits and switching the computer out completely.
