View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using Office 2010 on Windows 7 (64bit) with high contrast theme (white on black). When I select part of the text (in a word document, for instance) the selected text is highlighted with white background color. Is it possible to change the background color and the font color of the selected text?
It seems that changes made to the "Window" colors in the "Windows Color" dialog (accessible from personalization), have an impact on those colors which leads to the conclusion that those colors are computed based on those settings. I'm asking whether there is an option to modify selected text colors while still using black background and white text.
How do I delete high contrast?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use High Contrast Black as my theme. In the past, when I would print a document, it would print normally, i.e., black text on a white background. Some time ago, tho, my printer began to print the document as white print on a black background! But here is the strange thing: if I copy and paste my text to Notepad and print, it prints normally as black on white. Both Word 2010, Jarte, and Wordpad will NOT print normall, and I cannot find settings to change this behavior. Please note that to the best of my knowledge, I did NOT change any settings to cause this printing anomaly to begin. HOw can a person using the High Contrast BaBlack teheme arrange it so that documents print out normally, black text on the white sheet of paper?

View 1 Replies View RelatedShortly after installing a theme (I can not remember as I can't get into the file system) which is as far as I can see a perfectly legitimate theme (recommended by a user from overclock.net) explorer.exe hasn't worked. I installed it, it asked me to restart explorer.exe by pressing the button. I got the error that it could not start. Itrecommended that I restart the computer before all changes take place. I assumed that I had to restart the computer for Explorer.EXE to work. It did not. At startup, the following happened and now does every time I start it up: (A note, sorry for the low quality photo's, I'm letting someone using my DSLR as they're on holidays.)Everything goes seemingly normal in the BIOS.FYI, the debug code on the motherboard is AA so all is fine according to the debug code.Just before Windows logs me in (just after the Windows logo at boot) there is a blacks screen displayed for a significant amount of time. As I have an SSD, it shouldn't be there and it shouldn't take that long.
Before I get to the desktop, the following errors come up:his is what the desktop looks at login. Firstly, there is not start menu - which means no explorer.exe. Secondly, why has this application started up? Nothing else seems to be able to but this application however manages to. Is it because it uses it's own UI? Nothing else seems to startup. Hmm.I press ctrl+alt+delete and the following comes up as usual: I click "start task manager" and the following error comes up then decided to start the computer up in safe mode.Same errors as before: This is what the desktop looks like, no start menu there:I press ctrl+alt+delete and the normal ctrl+alt+delete screen comes up. Same taskmanager error as earlier.I next boot into safe mode with command prompt. This time only this error comes up: (that is, unless I missed the explorer.exe error or I subconsciously clicked the ok button which is a possibility)
Is there anyway to have a High Definition/Quality moving background? I've tried dreamscene and searched around, but no luck. I'm looking for something that can make wmv / flv / etc../ into a background.

View 0 Replies View Relatedcan no longer change my windows 7 theme. It's in aero mode, but when i right click, and open personalization, it's in classic view mode. I try clicking "Window Color and Appearance" except it only gives me an error "there was a problem loading pre-set color." Also when i click "them" nothing happens, no sign of loading. I'm fine with the default windows 7 aero theme, except i'd love to install windowblinds 7 again (this will be my first time installing windowblinds 7 on this new installation of windows 7, so it's not a pre-installation of windowblinds 7 that causes my personalization options to go away.ps: i think this problem began when i installed deskscapes and dreamscene (2 programs that allow your background to be a video) I have uninstalled both of them.

It's so annoying and unnecessary. How can I prevent it from doing this when all I want to do is vary the themes? View 2 Replies View RelatedFor the past few days, if not a week now, I've noticed that when I switch to Basic theme for RAM intesive programs like Adobe After Effects, Windows is quite slow, almost running as though my laptop is 1GB not 2GB RAM.Though when I switch to Aero theme, Windows is only slightly slower with Adobe After Effects running. My laptop is Compaq Presario CQ56, 2GB shared graphics and I can't explain why the Basic theme is running slow whereas Aero is responding faster, so much so, programs tend to stop responding more frequently on Basic. I have run MSE, MBAM and SAS (MSE realtime, others are standalone mode) and found no viruses and I update them all either daily or every two days. I only have Realtek Audio and MSE on Startup so I can't figure out why this happening!
