Sound Not Matching Picture
Sep 14, 2012Had to get new tv Tosb 1080i use to have a 1080p but now the sound dose not match picture and some of the channels wink in and out.

Sep 10, 2012I have a Acer aspire 5536 laptop with ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics card which i connect to my Pansonic TX-L37G20B LCD Tv via the HDMI output on a regular basis to watch films etc. I have had no problems with the connection since the day i bought the TV and have been happlily using it for the last 2 years.
A couple of days ago i connected the laptop to TV as usual and changed to the correct HDMI channel and got nothing. I disconnecetd the lead and reconnected but still no picture or sound on the TV. I tested the HDMI cable and Tv input by connecting the lead to my XBOX and it worked perfectly.
When i connect the lead to the laptop the screen goes blank for a second and i hear the connection sound as normal however no picture on the TV.
I have checked the display settings and the TV is listed under monitors. I have tried all settings eg extend display, duplicate etc.. and it appears to work correctly but i cannot get a picture or sound on the TV. I did think maybe this problem was due to a recent windows update so i have run a system restore to a previous time when this worked, but no joy. I have also unistalled the old graphics card drivers and installed the new ones from the AMD web site and again nothing.
Media Centre Live Tv Sound But No Picture?
Oct 31, 2011I have suddenly found that media centre when opening live tv i have the sound but no vision. It displays the progress bar OK and you can can even display the active thumbnail when you left click progress tracker,but just black full screen,i have all latest drivers for sound and graphics.I have reloaded direct x and codec drivers ,tried retuning ,tried resetting monitor,all to no avail.My system OS is w7 x64 ,CPU 6600 O/C 2.4 GHz, GPU NV GTX460.4MB Ram.

Jul 10, 2011I have 22" 1080p monitor which I use for gaming, but I also have a cheapo 19" 1440x900 monitor that I use for IRC, Vent etc.My problem is that everything looks larger on the smaller monitor due lower resolution. For example, dragging a window from 1080p monitor to the 1440x900 makes makes it increase in size by ~1/3. Also, you can only move your mouse to the smaller screen if it's within the top 900 pixels of the 1080p monitor. This make sense, but doesn't make it any less annoying.I thought of finding a way to force a higher resolution to the smaller monitor, though from searching around it seems very difficult/impossible. And If achieved it could also be dangerous to the monitor and the graphics card? reduce the scale of the second monitor so that the things are the same size and make the mouse pass between screens without being restricted to the upper 900p pixels on the 1080p monitor?

Dec 10, 2011I bought a new computer last week & it's pre-installed with Windows 7. When I first put in my Mini TV DVB-T USB stick, Windows 7 found drivers for it and WMC recognised it and gave me instant TV to watch. However, just this last 2 days it all went sour. I still have the channels listed but on each one I get sound and just a black screen. No idea what changed, perhaps a Windows update as you get heaps of these when running a new system. Anyway I have tried running the USB drivers again and re scanning my channels but the result is still the same. It's so annoying knowing it has worked but now it won"t. Here's my system stats.

Sep 17, 2009I absolute dont like the way Win 7 behaves, when connecting a camera.
In XP, I could choose which pictures to import, and give them names, and XP would number them for me, for instance import into C:Pictures2009, and the pictures would be named 2009 001.jpg and so on.
Now I dont understand how to do it, and if I have imported some pictures, I'm not allowed to do it again. WHAT???
Why should Windows 7 decide if I can import my pictures again, what if I delete a picture by mistake?
Is there a way to make it work like in "the good old days"?
