I loaded Solidworks 2001 with OS Windows 7 and used the compatibility xp mode, it works just fine. But when I click any Hypelinks i get a blank tab and won't open. If restore my Windows to before I installed Solidworks, everything works just fine.

View 7 Replies View RelatedDisclaimers out of the way, I'm getting random BSOD's, seemingly to always to coincide with my usage of Solidworks (ver.2009). Although, to be fair, this is my work computer, and SW is always running, so it may be unrelated.This is my first foray into debugging BSOD's (only recently started doing IT stuff), so I *think* I know what I'm doing, but we all know how that ends. I've attached the jcgriff.zip, but I couldn't seem to get my perfmon /report to finish it's 60 second test for an output report (working on getting administrative rights, will update accordingly).I've also attached the two .dbg files I've found to help better understand.It appears to be an error involving Memory Dumps and ntkernal errors.

I had a bit of bad luck today and my laptop fell on the ground and cracked the case. I checked to make sure everything was functioning and running alright and everything seemed fine, so i proceeded to run solidworks and work on a project and again everything was working fine for about 40 minutes than blue screen popped up and computer tried to restart. When it started backup a screen popped up saying to run startup repair. Ran the repair and when a command window popped up i get a white screen saying error in big red font. So i restarted again and tried to start windows normally it began starting up but switched to start up repair automatically and same thing while start up repair was beggining.to stop happening preferably without re formatting and losing files as i have some really large solidworks files that i need for a project and dont have time to re draw
View 1 Replies View RelatedA friend asked me to setup her new Windows 7 Home Premium machine and her old Dell Dimension 4700 with windows xp. She bought a Belkin FLIP USB with audio to accomplish this somewhat, however the windows 7 pc seems to be causing issues as far as i can tell. At random times the keyboard will not switch during a flip but you can flip again and it corrects.
It also would sometimes get the KB/mouse on one computer and the monitor on the other, which was not fixable by her. The only solution being to fully unplug the KVM and let it power down for a few seconds and then rehook it up to the running PCs. She's not really prepared to do that for a KVM that should be simple.
Belkin's website does not claim compatibility with Windows 7 or 64bit, so can anyone recommend a KVM that has "fully" compatible drivers for Windows 7 64bit? The belkin flip will generally work with a little troubleshooting despite it not being supported on win7 64, but she doesn't want to do "any troubleshooting" and just wants it to work all the time.
My mom just got a new computer with Windows 7 - 64 bit operating system. She can't download Copmuserve Dialer software. Some Capatability issue with the 7.0 version on CD

Just installed Nero9 Essentials on Win7. I use Nero primarily for editing and burning vinyl records (recorderd via LP recorder)but can not find the recording via ADD in Nero to edit and burn. Since I still had one licence remaining I also installed my Office 2007. Now I can not open Word attachments which are being sent to me with many emails. There is info box saying that there is problem sending a command to the program. I can not open any documents that I transfered from my old PC. This documents open in some gibrish machine language.
