View 2 Repliesi was installing Microsoft Home and Student 2007 on my son's new laptop (hp pavillion dv6) which is running windows 7 64 bit. I got the error "Error 1704 an installation for microsoft.net framework 4 client profile is currently suspended. You must undo those changes made by that installation before continuing." I don't know what that means. Should I undo or just cancel?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Office 2007 with 3 licences. Jus after Xmas I build myself a new PC with absolutely top spec. I purchased legal Windows 7 Pro and installed 64 version on my new PC. Since I still had one licence remaining I also installed my Office 2007. Now I can not open Word attachments which are being sent to me with many emails. There is info box saying that there is problem sending a command to the program. I can not open any documents that I transfered from my old PC. This documents open in some gibrish machine language. I have Adobe Reader ilstalled but still no joy.

Do I have to or rather should I install MS updates for Office 2007? For instance KB. Im not sure because I do not have the suite installed. But given that these are security updates I want to be sure.
MS Home & Student 2007 won't set up on my new Windows 7 Computer. It's reading the disk, but the setup never initiates.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust bought a new laptop with Windows7 64bit installed-my first exposure to Windows7. I had Office 2007 installed on my old Dell 32 bit machine. I had also recently pruchased Office 2010 and installed that on my new machine. Now, when I try to open those 32bit 2007 files with 64bt 2011, Iget an error message that "no picture file is available", or words to that effect. When I try to "open with", the only option displayed is "Microsoft Office" with an icon that looks like a picture file. When I try to browse to the proper office program(Excel, for example), there are none of teh Office suite programs displayed, only "Microsoft Office".I can navigate seperately to the proper progran, Excel, etc., and drag the file into the application, and it opens, and all seems to work OK. I "save as" the proper application file, but it still will not open with double-click on the file name.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI now have a new problem, before I managed to open 2007 files by opening Office 2010 and then from inside the application choosing to open a file. The problem I have though is if I just try to open an Office 2007 file then I can't open it, and I can't change the default program to open it. How do you get Office 2010 to open all the Office 2007 files such as word, excel etc?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've recently got a new machine and had copied my old PST file over. Whenever I go to open it I get "File access is denied. You do not have the permission required to access the file C:Users*username*DocumentsOutlook Files*pst file name*"I created a test archive and was able to open that one (same location ) just fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy new computer came with Office 2010 Starter installed. I believe I activated it. Then I installed my last legal version of Office Home 2007. Now neither one seems to be working properly. I probably should have uninstalled 2010 prior to installing 2007. How do I remove 2010 without screwing up 2007?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHas anyone tried installing office 2000 after windows 7 install followed by office 2007 upgrade? I know there is a compatibility issue with office 2000, but will the upgrade still work?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI live by Outlook and I use 2007 because it syncs with the iPhone 4. If I can't make this work, then I won't buy a new computer now, but to be honest, I really want this to work.
(1) I've read many complaints elsewhere that Outlook 2007 doesn't run on the 64 bit Windows 7 Professional. Does anyone here have any experience with that?
(2) I'm not against buying a new Office 2010 with Outlook 2010 but...again from comments online, it doesn't seem to sync the iPhone 4 properly.
Microsoft Office 2000 and Windows 7 compatibility
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy question concerns Microsoft Office 2000 and Windows 7 compatibility. Windows 7 isnt compatible with Office 2000. In a new system build with Windows 7, would a second operating system (Windows XP) on a separate partition or disc drive get around the compatibility issue?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using Outlook 2007 on Windows 7 RC1 (7100) with Franklin Covey PlanPLus for Outlook v.6 add-on. This add-ob really gets slow at times. I asked tehir support, they said windows 7 is not supported (ah, that was easy to forsee).
Before I try the thing on XP - I want to try running Outlook in XP Compatibility Mode. When I try this Outlook starts, but cannot find my profile (or any profiles whatsoever).
Ok, windows 7 keeps Outlook data differently from Win XP. But how can I create a profile for XP compatibility mode? The craziest thing is run a control panel which creates profiels in XP Compatibility mode, or reinstall outlook (or start it with some command-line switch to pretend that it runs the very first time and force it to craete a profile while running in XP Compatibility mode?)
Anybody? Any ideas?
i wanted to deploy windows 7 onto the clients side but am still skeptical on how go about the exchange 2003 /2008 on the server end and the outlook on windows 7 clients side? is there any issues which i shoud be knowing before i go ahead with it?
