I tried to use Picasa 3 but what a complacated mess. They give you 1 gig of space on the Internet and you can upload so your friends can see without sending huge files through the Internet. Do I just need to learn this or is there something more simple?

Unable to open large picture with win32. What can I do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI imported some video from my handy cam and they were placed in my "imported pictures and Video" file, but when i tried to find them via the search tool accessible by the windows button, it could not find "Imported pictures and Videos". i have spent a half hour trying to find them but the computer seems to have no such file called "Imported pictures and videos". Of course, I checked my regular videos and pictures file and found nothing... Why is this folder nowhere to be found?

My internet usage is way below over, so I have a fine internet connection, yet when I try to watch videos on the internet, they will stop playing a couple seconds into the video and act as if that was the end of the video. if I try to make the video load, then it will just load forever and NEVER work. I also have issues when viewing images, some images are half loaded and look very strange (google images for example). Also, alot of th web pages I load up go straight to the page saying an error has occured. I have had windows seven for a few months and have no viruses (that I know of).
View 2 Replies View RelatedThey were working then I rebooted the pc today and went to click on computer and nothing happens, the only thing is the little folder icon comes on the taskbar and that's it, it doesn't open.Also all of a sudden my events viewer doesn't work either, get this error, specified query is invalid 15001BTW system restore wasn't on, I guess when I fixed my booting problem it turned it off, the only drives that had restore enabled where my other 2 drives not the one I needed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I noticed that my 500GB hard drive was beginning to get full. It has everything on it. I installed a second hard drive, 1TB, and my intention was to keep all of the programs and OS on the primary 500GB hard drive and transfer all of my documents (pics, vids, docs & music) to the 1TB drive.
When I go to C:UsersMyName and I go to "cut" a folder like MyMusic and then "paste" it in my new E: drive, it says that the folder is shared and if I move it others will not be able to use it.
Now, before I do this, with MyMusic, MyPictures, etc. I have a question: By moving these over to the E: drive (the new 1TB) drive, am I going to do something I regret, like losing access to these files, the OS not being able to find them, or something like that?
As the title states, I cannot get my music, pictures and videos links to show up on the right side of my start menu. I have used all of Brink's tutorials and or registry hacks and double checked everything...but to no resolve.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn Windows 7 I installed the xbox 360 extender using Media Center, all my media files show up, but after exiting the extender, all my media files do not show anymore on their default windows folders for Pictures, Videos, and Music. Re-enter Media Center, and I am able to see all my media files, but unable to reach them through my PC, even after exiting again, and using my PC normally.
1- Advance searched my files to no avail, restored WMP library to no avail, restarted several times to no avail.
2- Used old Vista tricks in regedit to no avail, files still don't show up, they only do when I start the extender, and I see them through the extender only.
3- Restored to previous point in history on Windows to no avail.
4- Disabled WMP and WMC in Windows services and features, and re-enabled them, to no avail.
Which backup software to backup Pictures/Documents/Videos so that when you do a fresh install you don't loose anything.apart from your programs of course, just the documents backed up what do you use?

View 14 Replies View RelatedMy client's computer was infected with a virus obtained via Facebook. I removed this and multiple other infections (and I'm pretty thorough with my scanning). She gets it back, starts working on it, and apparently her devices and printers icons are blank. Not missing, like with a "blank page" icon, just... blank. Here's the kicker: it only happens with large and extra large icons. It also happens with normal folder icons. When I change it to medium or lower, they come back. I've tried rebuilding the icon cache database several times, tried sfc /scannow, tried chkdsk, tried uninstalling any recent updates, etc... There have been no hardware changes, the hard drive has been tested as good (no bad sectors), her dual monitors are at a sane resolution, and I'm confident that the viruses has been removed.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI imported my photos from my SDCard to my PC using Picasa 3, and everything was going smoothly... until I tried to take a look at the photos! all of the photos that I've imported using this method for some reason all became greyed out! Viewing them on Picasa3, all you can see is a grey rectangle, in place of the photos. However, when using the windows explorer folder, i can see that the photos were imported correctly (it's not just a grey box, but the actual photos), but when I try to open it (using any program: Paint, Picasa3, etc), it is still a grey rectangle instead of the photos. I tried to upload the image and send it via email, and I get the same result.In my mistake, I chose to "delete the uploaded photos after uploading" option..it's my vacation photos from Croatia I'm not sure if there were any errors when I imported it... i stepped out for a bit while I was waiting for it to import. I looked around my SD card, and looked at the "Lost.dir" folder, and copied all of what's in there.I did use Glarysoft to recover the images, and I'm using a Windows 7 laptop as my computer. Also, are there other alternatives? I did save the lost.dir with all of the photo files in it, both in my SD Card, and on my laptop.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't get sound from any of the web pages I've visited. I tried to install a codec package, and it won't allow me. I am the sole user of the computer, I'm running W7 64bit with a X-Fi soundcard. All other sound works fine and it is hooked up via spdif optical link to a seperate surround sound system.
Therefore, My first question, How do I get the sound to work?
2nd question, even if is or isn't the codec issue, why won't windows update the registry with the codec installation package (1402 error). I am the administrator!

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am VERY new to the site and I have a strange problem. The computer is new HP dv6-6012TU with windows 7 and Office. I can receive emails, but NOT send them through outlook or windows mail, but I can through my ISP site. I tried creating a new account,deleting all stuck messages in the outbox, searching online for solutions, but nothing works.
My Dell Dimension 9200 stopped sending anything to the monitor. I installed Windows 7 successfully after giving up on XP. The PC has bees stable with a newer Video Card upgrade and much more memory installed. The PC came without a Floppy Drive and when I start the PC, I have to press F1 to proceed to Windows. It was very annoying so I asked a friend and told me to disable it in BIOS and I did. Immediately after I did that, the PC stopped sending anything to the monitor. I tried two other monitor to no avail. I also tried an older PCI express Video Card and a newer one and got no reception still even though all the light indicators tells me that the PC is on. The drives are on plus the start up sound I hear when I turn it on.

View 7 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to open a Microsoft Word file or Excel file, a popup comes up displaying the "There was a problem sending the command to the program." message. Here is a list of things I've tried so far:
1. Deleted the "Data" registry key from the correct registry path.
2. Ran the "winword.exe /r" command from command prompt
3. Repaired Microsoft Office using the installation CD.
4. Ran the Microsoft Diagnostics (which didn't find any issues).
5. Reassociated the extensions in Control Panel > Default Programs.
6. Ensured that the "Run as administrator" checkbox isn't ticked in winword.exe's properties.

I'm running Windows 7 and have activated the Windows Fax & Scan software. The modem Verizon USB760 is our fax modem. When the software was initially activated, outgoing faxes were sent fine. Recently, it's stopped working completely. Only the coverpage is sent, the fax job fails and retries as many times as I have it configured or until I delete the fax job. I've tried typing directly into the section for page 2 of the fax, and I've tried attaching pdf or txt files with the same incomplete result. I can view the complete fax in the outbound box.

I've tried 3 different monitors, 2 cords, even tried taking the video card out and plugging it directly into the mother board port. Still wont send anything to a monitor. The computer turns on, the lights on the keyboard flash, the Mp3 plugged in via USB charges, though the lights on my wireless receiver to not turn on either. The beep your computer does when it boots up correctly is noticebly absent as well.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use Windows Live Mail 2011 essentials. I really like the plain Jane Windows Live mail but got ropped into this type in auto windows update. Originaly i just removed it thinking that the Plain Jane mail program would be re-instated but it was not, could not find just windows live mail so had to put it back if I wanted to use email not web mail.Above tells you where I am at as far as email is concerned.Now my problem.I have setup several groups of email messages that I send messages to, as well as to just one person. Suddenly in the last month or so I have been getting reports of some addressees are getting as many as 50 of the same message, orther not. Sometimes they are sent to one of the groups some are not, some are forwards. I have communicated with Cox, my high speed interent access, they tell me use only web mail not Windows Live Mail. I really do not like web mail, but will start using it if I have to. I ALLWAYS send BCC for a message with more than 3 addresses because of emails containing lots of addresses for capturing the addresses for spam.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have three accounts in WLM. One of them is not working properly.FYI I had this same problem when backing up my system last year. I never resolved it and just lived with it. Now I am setting up a new computer and the problem is still here.When I reply to a message in this account it reverts to sending it with the default email. So it does not include the signiture and does not send from the correct account. The trick is it only does this with the transfered/backed up emails. Since I've setup my new computer and configured the three accounts in WLM I have two new emails in that account. I can send from those just fine and windows recognizes the account I'm sending from and puts in the proper signiture. So it only does it to the "old" emails that I backed up. For some reason WLM is not properly reading those "old" emails and recognizing the account they are from.Again this happened a year ago but I just lived with it. As after a few days I would be replying to new emails and it would work fine. If I went back and tried to reply to an email that was "old" or "backed up" it would revert to sending with my default email just as my new computer is doing now.
