Send Email On Windows 7?
Feb 21, 2011I just got a new laptop with Windows 7 and transferred all my files from ny XP computer. I used to use outlook express fro my e=mail and can't seem to find it here.

Can't Send Email To One Person's Email Address?
Oct 26, 2012The husband uses Windows Live as his email client and the wife uses direct Road Runner.They both use the same computer.hen the husband tries to send email to his wife's email acct, she never receives it.Yet he can send emails to me and I am a Road Runner email address. So I know that his Windows Live is set up correctly.His wife's email is working fine directly through Road Runner as she can send and receive emails.SO... Seems to me the issue has something to do with using the same computer and he never signs out of Windows Live. (I personally use Outlook as I am a business and am not familiar with Windows Live)

Dec 28, 2009Ive been googling this issue for quite some time and people have the same issue, but specific to them. their isp, email etc. I cannot send any emails using Windows Live Mail. Every time i go to send, it fails to connect to server with this message:-

Dec 14, 2012i can download email from my email server but i cannot reply, forward or create new email, for all i get a message that says 'a problem occured while openning this message, a problem has occured, try again. or 'an error occurred while trying to forward to replying to this message. there is no error reason provided or error number. it worked fine for a few years and then this error message starting to occur. i have checked the server addresses for incoming/outgoing and they appear to be correct?

Apr 3, 2012I just baught a HP Pavilion dv6 laptop with Windows 7 and am connected to the internet via my wireless remote. I can surf the net so I know I'm connected. I am supposed to have my email set up so that what I receive in my inbox on my desktop also shows up in my inbox on the laptop. I can send and receive fine on the desktop (Windows XP & Outlook Express), but when I try to send and receive mail in Windows Live on the laptop, I get this error messaage:

I haven't noticed any difference between the 64-bit version and the 32-bit version. Aug 14, 2011I just had Windows 7 put on my computer but have not purchased the copy of my Premium Home Edition yet. I have 3 more weeks and I don't know if THAT is my problem which is;
I've seen earlier posts about this quirk that MS should have never let out of the barn. I've found some "solutions" on these forums but when I go to change settings in the default menus, it doesn't "save".
I'm referring to changing default in INT Explorer. Some posters refer to IE8 but mine only says Internet Explorer. My computer guy also has me set up for Google with Google toolbar which comes up when I select the Internet Icon. I would rather have the good old Internet Explorer page come up and type Google into the address bar as I need it vs. Google everything.
I only have 3 buttons OK CANCEL HELP
after I make my adjustments. So I hit OK, but it doesn't save as I will recheck it after each time I try. I do NOT have an apply button which I find strange.
ALSO, for some reason after hopping around on websites or Internet, I can't open my Outlook Express to check email. The Icon just kind of "glows" when I click on it and there is no right click options other than to "unpin" it from the menu bar.
I have to restart/reboot to be able to get back into Outlook to get my email again.
