Cannot Send Email In Windows Live - Connection To Server Failed

I just baught a HP Pavilion dv6 laptop with Windows 7 and am connected to the internet via my wireless remote. I can surf the net so I know I'm connected. I am supposed to have my email set up so that what I receive in my inbox on my desktop also shows up in my inbox on the laptop. I can send and receive fine on the desktop (Windows XP & Outlook Express), but when I try to send and receive mail in Windows Live on the laptop, I get this error messaage:

I occasionally will receive messages, but I can never send.
I can receive e-mails but I cannot send any e-mails. When I press the new e-mail button this message pops up: A problem occured while trying to open this message. A problem has occurred. Please try again. I have checked all of the server information. It is all correct. I am in an office with 4 other people and we all use the same e-mail provider.
Ive been googling this issue for quite some time and people have the same issue, but specific to them. their isp, email etc. I cannot send any emails using Windows Live Mail. Every time i go to send, it fails to connect to server with this message:-
i can download email from my email server but i cannot reply, forward or create new email, for all i get a message that says 'a problem occured while openning this message, a problem has occured, try again. or 'an error occurred while trying to forward to replying to this message. there is no error reason provided or error number. it worked fine for a few years and then this error message starting to occur. i have checked the server addresses for incoming/outgoing and they appear to be correct?
Evening all, I recently upgraded to Win 7 Home Premier from XP Home and I am not impressed. I have set up a large group distribution list of about 150 email addresses. I'm certain some are bad. What's happening is that when I try to send to the group the bad email addresses are preventing the message to go through to the good emails.
I have Office 2007 Home & Student Edition.I use Windows Live Mail for my email client.I installed the office product, and created a new Word Document.I click on the Office Button on top, select SEND TO EMAIL.. expecting Windows Live Mail to show up (set as my default mail program.) Instead I get this error: Logon Failed. You Must log on to Microsoft Exchange to Access your address book. Error Code: "unspecified Error".So I figure, Ok, maybe Office 2007 is new (even thought it's 2010 now), and there might be some fixes.I downloaded the SP2 for Office 2007, thinking this must be a common problem.. as my computer is BRAND new.I JUST installed Windows Live Mail on it... and Just installed Office 2007. I haven't had it for more than a few hours.I install the SP2 Patch for OFF2007 fine. I do some searching and find many Microsoft threads which indicate how to "use a Non-MS Email client with Office 2007" - Now wait! Isn't Windows Live Mail an MS product? So then, I find many other forums where they indicate you can click SEND TO EMAIL 3 times and it will work. So... Just to confirm the mind of the hive is alive and well.
The above is the message I get when I try to send or receive mail. It states Error ID 0x800CCC0F. On googling this it advises restore system to an earlier time, but that has not worked.
The husband uses Windows Live as his email client and the wife uses direct Road Runner.They both use the same computer.hen the husband tries to send email to his wife's email acct, she never receives it.Yet he can send emails to me and I am a Road Runner email address. So I know that his Windows Live is set up correctly.His wife's email is working fine directly through Road Runner as she can send and receive emails.SO... Seems to me the issue has something to do with using the same computer and he never signs out of Windows Live. (I personally use Outlook as I am a business and am not familiar with Windows Live)
I just got a new laptop with Windows 7 and transferred all my files from ny XP computer. I used to use outlook express fro my e=mail and can't seem to find it here.
I have at&t uverse with a att yahoo account that I also have setup access with windows live mail on my windows 7 pc. Yesterday I logged into my mail account through yahoo and replied all to a message that had 60+ recipients in it. Now I can no longer send mail using my windows live account but can receive mail. all of my settings are correct in live mail with my isp. My Windows live email will not send. I can send emails most of the time accept for when live mail is locked up with ine of these 'sent' emails that won't go. The sent emails appear in my sent mail, but a check on webmail shows that they have not actually sent. Sometimes when I close down my computer and start up again, I find that the emails have then be sent.

I am unable to send pictures or documents in Windows Live Mail. I can select to pictures and select e-mail. I get the dialog box but when I hit add it just goes blank. Windows Live Mail is my default e-mail program. I am running windows 7, 64 bit.

I am trying to trouble shoot my boss' laptop. We have tried to set him up on Windows Live to use while he is at home and on the road. We have a server and it is setup/configured on his laptop correctly as it works EVERYWHERE else besides his home. I am guessing it is a Firewall or Router Setting issue. Since I don't go to his home, I am unable to trouble shoot it there - His family has an IPAD an ITOUUCH a personal computer and another laptop and they all send and receive mail fine. It is just my boss' laptop - Windows 7 - Home Edition - 64bit - Dell. Thinking maybe I need to change the port # in the settings on Microsoft Live. BTW - we do have him set up to use the Exchange by logging into our IP - but he just cannot seem to get the hang of doing that - even though i have everything shortcutted and instructions on the desktop...Also have had him just use Log Me In - and he doesn't like the small screen..
Use Chrome and IE, W7, gmail and Charter for email.Can send emails from ipad but not from laptopMust have wrong settings. Want to send photos from PC but cannot receive test msg to myself.
