Scanner Not Found On Windows 7?

Windows 7 Home Premium, service pack 1, Acer Aspire 5755, Intel Core I5-2430M CPU, 2.40 GHz, 64-bit operating system (new computer for me).I have a wireless Kodak ESP 7250 AIO and my new computer cannot find the scanner. I have uninstalled the printer software and reinstalled it, drivers and firmware are current from Kodak website, have run the compatability troubleshooter and followed recommendations, scanner worked fine with Windows XP on old computer. Going nuts and very upset

I'm not really sure what is going on with my computer lately. Everytime I use my computer and go online, it works fine for a little while and then suddenly it slows right down and everytime I try to go anywhere it just says not responding and freezes up. The only way to fix it is to restart, and then it will be fine for a bit and then starts acting up again. I also can't see my emoticons in windows live messenger anymore either. It just shows whatever you type to make it but not the actual emoticon. I think I have a virus but my scanner hasn't found anything.

as usual I turned off my laptop and after a while a turned on again to use my laptop but it couldn't reach operating system and showed error : " OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND" !

I am having trouble getting a scanner to work with windows 7. The computer recognises the printer but not the scanner. I have tried 3 different multi-function printers with the same result. Using a HP Photosmart C4480 an error message 8,[(02-21474672590] comes up. I thought i might need to re-install windows 7 as re-installing the printer drivers does not solve the problem - or could it be a hardware problem, although I have tried plugging in to 2 different USB ports on the computer.

I am using a HP ProBook 6560b (Win 7 Pro x64) laptop which comes with a fingerprint scanner, which I want to be able to use to log in to Windows. This has got me stumped right now though, and I can't find a solution for this problem online. Here's hoping you guys know what the problem is A few more details: The computer came with a bundle of HP programs, and after considering them and what they had to offer I uninstalled nearly all of them. As I said before, I want to be able to use the fingerprint scanner, and the only thing I've found so far which uses it is the HP ProtectTools. This program only allows me to link my fingerprint to credentials FOR various login screens (websites, programs, etc) AFTER I've logged into Windows using a password.

I just realized that Canon didn't update their driver for my CanoScan Lide 50 Scanner for Windows 7 64-bit. I tried to find a work around and came across an article that said the CanoScan Lide 60 driver works..ersAndSoftwareBut the folder I got with 7-Zip didn't have the file in it that it said it should, so I tried to just install it directly.Windows flashed a popup asking for permission to install, right over where it said where it would be installed, and when I clicked OK, that other window disappeared. Now I can't find where it's installed.The article explained that I have to manually update the driver. I found the scanner in the device manager, but since I can't find the driver anywhere, I'm stumped. I wouldn't even be able to uninstall it

Still can't get my Windows 7 32bit system to operate w/ Nikon Coolscan 4000 ed.I tried advice from other postings by downloading/installing Vista 32 bit driver plus a scanner.info file. I first downloaded to a flash drive and then tried installing them using the wizard. Both are on my desktop, but not in a file. Header says it all--and yes I've searched here and despite similar (exact?) thread topics being closed as "solved" none of the "solutions" worked for me.Windows 7 64bit, Adaptec 29160 SCSI card (which device manager does not recognize), scanner shows there as "HP C2520A SCSI Processor Device."ried VueScan and it claims no scanner is installed.When I click on the scanner in device manager and try to install the drivers I got from HP (presumably for Windows 7 64bit) it says it can't find them.When I try to install them manually by left clicking the .inf file, I get the ole "the inf file you selected does not support this method of installation."On most forums the responses run the gamut of idiocy, commonest being "why don't you throw that elegant machine away and buy one of these late-model pieces of junk that are supported by windows 7."
